Just shut the fuck, up, kid. We have a serious convo here, and you with your little ***goty issues are not welcome. And don't try to fool us either, the girl on your avatar --- you ain't tapping that.
Haha oioi soft lad. You dumb nonce, you're the ones who take the convo away from the original post, you're the ones bringing up the avatar every time the guy posts.
TRUST ME, Toincito.. You are an ugly little annoying smurf.
Your face is just like people said; gay and offensive.
Don't worry about me, fool. I do ok.
See, all of you just come across as jealous. He's a decent looking lad, clearly not ugly as some of you make out...
Stop trying to come across the funny man/hard lad, it screams of jealousy.
Floyds obviously a quality boxer, anyone who disputes that is a moron. He's just boring to watch, however if he tried to fight any other way he'd get beaten. He does what he has to win and that's all that matters.
Also, why stick your gfs picture as your avatar? bit of a weird thing to do :/ i'm sure she'll love having the picture plastered over a boxing forum.
I'm a massive Ricky fan but think Floyd was just better then him on the night, however anyone who's seen the fight has to agree that Cortez didn't have a good fight, he split them up WAY too much and that back of the head point deduction really was a joke.
btw.. what book is this from? i need it ASAP
The Inner Ring.

There's the link for amazon. It's a must read for any boxing/tyson fans.
while i'm a massive ricky hatton fan i'm glad roach shut floyds mouth (just wish he could have done it another way!!!)
roach is an awesome trainer, he loves boxing and he loves his fighters. you just don't get the same sort of feeling with floyd, floyd spent way too much time trying to wind roach up and making up stupid poems when he should have been watching pac tapes etc.
floyd made too big a deal out of 'getting into roachs skin' when he didn't need to, i can understand why fighters try to get to each other but it won't make ANY effect whatsoever winding up the trainer. When you wind up a fighter you do it because you hope it will make him fight too hard and loose his cool.
****ing ****** has no right to talk shit about any boxer. Ricky Hatton may have lost to the greatest boxer in the world but he'd still knock you the **** out if you sir.
What a dickhead. Perhaps you should read articles before jumping in with bullshit, someone from Hattons CAMP made some comments about the trouble in the camp before the fight and that they haven't spoken since the fight.
Both of which are facts, it was obvious something happened before the fight and they haven't spoken since. Woo hoo, Hatton would have lost either way, he admits that, his fans admit that, the only people who try to say different are bullshitters like you.
Anyone who disrespects any boxer from a keyboard is not a fan, as boxing fans we should respect EVERY fighter who steps in that ring, not be asking for pictures of his wife and children crying, not be laughing at him for getting 'knocked the **** out!!!!!' but praising him for being a warrior and having the guts to get in there.
Question is: Does anyone reckon he would of been any better had he not lived the sort of lifestyle he does in between fights?
I believe so yes, especially these days when everyone takes training/diet so seriously. I don't reckon he would have been any better but i think he would have been at the top for longer?
So you think they may have hired the same sparring partner as ricky?
Could of dont know but dont even think they felt ricky was a big enough threat to do that...
Roach was saying all along he wont go past 3
TBF Roach did change his mind towards the fight and said a late stoppage, you have to admire the bloke tho. For some reason i've never liked him but after watching the build up to this fight i have so much respect for Roach, awesome trainer who is brilliant for boxing.
I think maybe a goodbye fight against a guy with a glossy record but no punching power and he should go.
Ricky cannot fight on at top level with his decrease in punch resistance. Prime Hatton would have got his brains bashed in for about 9 rounds against Pacman. He is a take three and get one in type-of-guy, now he can't take three.
Same thing will happen to Carl Froch eventually. There is a limit to how many shots you can take without it diminishing punch resistance.
While i agree his punch resistance is damaged i don't think it's as bad as everyones making out, that first kd was a killer and enough to knock alot of fighters out, then he still got up from that and the 2nd one and the 3rd was just the perfect punch and would have ko'd most middleweights.
Its not just that he lost to the best but where do you go from there?
It was more in the manor that he lost for me..
Had he lasted the distance lost on the cards you would still half rate him
but he looked like a novice in there[/QUOTE
I agree he looked poor and i don't really know where he goes from here but i still think he's a decent challenger for alot of upcoming fighters (Bradley) If he lost it would look decent on there record and if he wins it's a decent way to go out.
IMO He shoud have one last fight in England, he could still sell out any arena over here (especially if billed as his last fight) and if he could win it would be a nice way to go out whereas i don't think anyone wants to see him go out like this.
Yes i think he can have one more big fight and still fight some of the best. I would like to see him fight Bradley, it would sell out Wembley and if he wins it would be a good way to go out or he could even still carry on.
Just because you loose to the best is no reason to give up, if that was the case there's hundreds of fighters who should give up. People who say he should retire as he's made all the money he ever needs, fighters don't fight for the money...boxing comes first and no amount of money is worth giving up your no.1 dream/hobby.
you say hatton bradley could sell out wembley. im not so sure now, because i suspect that as sad as the thought is, he will have lost alot of fans now. I think its the manner of the defeat that has ****ed hatton up for the future.
Yea he has lost a few fans but he is still very popular. The English don't turn there backs on someone when they loose, especially someone who has given us so much joy over the last 7 years.
I understand what your saying about not wanting to retire on a defeat like that. I just think its pointless having 1 more fight just to get a win before you retire. If he is gonna come back, then it has to be to get back to the world title scene and fight fighters that are worth people staying up until 4 am to watch! I think its gotta be world title shot and get back to top 10 p4p then retire rather than fight some bum to get that win to bow out on.
I agree with that and would love to see him give it a real shot, he is still a good fight for most of 140
I like roach, i doubted him before the fight but he really is a class coach who loves his fighters and loves boxing, best trainer in the world atm? i think so.
i would have liked to have seen ricky go to roach after graham but i wasn't saying that at the time so meh.
I hope your right about the fans not turning there backs, but i just think that alot will. I will still be there to watch him fight, i just cant believe that he went steaming in like that.
Yea i think he was naive and didn't rate Pacs power and thought he could walk through his punches, he perhaps thought too much into the size/strength differnce which wasn't as big as i expected....then as soon as he got KD it all went out of the window...then he thought he had hurt him (I thought he had for a sec) and went after him and got caught big again.
He would still sell out Wembley, as long as the tickets aren't stupid money which i doubt they would be as he wouldn't let them be.
my thoughts exactly! what was the point in having a brilliant trainer if you aint gonna implement the game plan that was drawn up. Im sure there are people out there willing to fight hatton still, but its only gonna be worth the time if he can win some more titles IMO. Can he do that? my opinion is that he could maybe cherry pick, but whats the point in that?!
TBF To Hatton it's easy to SAY do this do that but it's much hardered to do when you haven't been fighting that way your whole life. Having the best boxer in the world across the ring didn't help, as they say...everyone has a plan untill they get hit and it is MUCH easier for us fans to sit here saying 'he should have moved his head!!!'
I think Floyd was a bad bad idea, he was a total different style, in personality and in style. I would have liked to have seen him go to Roach, i wouldn't have said that before the fight but now after watching 24/7 and you can really tell how much he loves his fighters and boxing itself, it's his life but you got the feeling with Snr that while he likes boxing he does it for the money and doesn't have that connection that roach/graham has.
I do agree hatton had to sack graham, not because of hattons style but because he just couldn't train him to the standard he used to.
To be honest im not a fan of his but i did find some new found respect for him after this fight..He does his job and has the results to prove it..
You can really see he loves boxing, he was up watching Hatton tapes 2hrs every night for 2months, that's just awesome and any trainer who does that deserves respect, floyd sr does it for the money whereas roach does it for his love of boxing.
Also i think one of the reason Hatton lost on Saturday was he thought he could take Pacs punches, he was trying to walk through them to land one of his own. I think he read too much into the 'I'm bigger, stronger then him' when actually he was probaly smaller and just as strong. i dunno but maybe the lack of weight training affected his strength? i know he got rid of kerry kayes when he sacked graham and he did look alot different before the weigh in. i mean look at the pictures of his weigh in pic and then 2 days later at the pool party...his abs have totally dissapeared!
Wait!
Did you forget that Miguel Cotto was owning Malignaggi before Cotto broke his hand in the 5th? And Cotto still won
Everyone knew Cotto was weight drained and it was Cotto's last fight at 140.
But seriously, who is Mailignaggi? Malignaggi aint shiet.
So you want Hatton to fight bums? Do you want Hatton to be a gate keeper? What do you want Hatton to do? Who do you want to see him up against? Please explain. Hatton was destroyed in 2 rounds by a guy who began fighting as a JR Flyweight, now if that aint a sign that something is wrong lol I dont know what is.
That is rubbish, Hatton was also a flyweight once, he may have been 9 years old but he was still that weight. fact is fighters get bigger with age, i would like to see manny make flyweight now. infact he was bigger then hatton on saturday.
Hatton should have one more fight and then retire, there's no shame in losing to the 2 best boxers of his era and he has had some very good wins. I hope he fights Witter, Khan or if Marquez gets beat badly by Floyd he can fight JMM.
Yep, there won't be no-one to fill rickys gap for a looooooong time.
No british fighter, even if they go undeafted and win world titles at 6 classes will take anywhere near 25k to america.
Who cares about a build up, that is just the boxing hype machine. He is just a big let down.
How is he a hype machine? He won world titles ffs, people like Khan is a hype machine. Not someone who worked himself up from nothing to winning a world title and beating one of the p4p kings.
Hatton is Khan on a larger scale
better, yes. But an even more out of sync hype train
personally i won't miss Hatton at all and seeing him KTFO (again) brought me guilty sadistic pleasure
He's nothing like Khan, Khan has had hype and support from day one whereas Hattons gone from fighting infront of 10 fans to taking 25,000 to America and how did he do it? By winning fights and climbing the ladder.
He's hyped because he beat some of the best, Khans hyped because of the olympics and he's a cash cow.
In 3years time i won't be suprised to see all 2008 british olympians with perfect records...and they'll get hyped again.
It seems like you'd be the one to ask around here:
What does Ricky's spunk taste like? Seems like you've chugged a lot of it.
You people are ridiculous in your defense of a mediocre fighter such as Hatton. The only reason he's mentioned is he is British. He might've carried British boxing during his time, but I'd say that's a huge, depressing fact and not something to be proud of.
So medicore fighters go unbeaten for 44 fights do they? Hatton always fought the best, beat some of the best and was a world champions and the best fighter in the world at 140 for some time.
He was a top quality fighter, losing to the best doesn't make him shit. He deserves alot better then some keyboard warriors slating him for a loss to Manny.
