Andre Dirrell comes to mind. Really impressed me in the Froch/Abraham fights. Really wanted to see him fight Ward but after that Abraham foul he hasn't been the same and doesn't fight anymore apparently.
Juan Manuel Lopez: had real high hopes for Juanma, especially after the marquez win. Him and Gamboa at the right time would have been a classic. But he threw away his defense for his power and paid the price for it.
Yuriokis Gamboa: promoter issues kept him away longer than anyone would have liked. Really wanted to see him fight Juanma and Mikey Garcia before the Crawford beatdown. Hopefully he comes back strong and with a new team.
Edwin Valero: Does anything really need to be said about this man? He was an animal and a future dream pacquiao opponent. Its a shame things happened the way they did.
Roy Jones Jr : He should have retired after the Calzaghe beatdown. Im tired of hearing about him fighting guys in Russia. Its time to hang em up champ.
Victor Ortiz: .........................lets not go there
Mosley would have went to war with Tito.
You don't go to war with Trinidad and finish the fight
Tito knocks him out at both weights
Fight would be a classic with knockdowns galore
You literally make more threads about Cotto then anyone else on this forum.
It's astonishing how much hate cotto gets on here. He's a throwback fighter who always has entertaining fights and never makes excuses when he loses.
He's fought the best opposition in his divisions and just beat the LINEAL middleweight champ. Everyone here was saying even a 50% Martinez destroys Cotto and he proved all them wrong. Now he's a 4 division champion. He is most certainly Top 5 in this generation. He's already the 3rd biggest draw in boxing behind Floyd and Pac
To say Bradley or Froch have better resumes then him is just blatant disrespect.
I'm not sure if it's still around but I remember watching a video of the Cotto/Margarito 2 Los Angles press conference where Ellie Secbach asked Cotto if he'd consider fighting Martinez.
Cotto: "you think Sergio Martinez is going to help make me money?"
He then proceeded to laugh and then everyone else started laughing and he pretty much made Secbach look like an idiot
damn thank god oscar has another blueprint up his ass. The only blueprint oscar has like mayorga said is "roll around like a maricon after a bodyshot"
lmfaoooooooooo
This was inevitable for Gamboa. He has no defense once he gets caught with a good shot. He just relies on his athleticism and that's just not enough when you're facing adversity. Crawford is a solid fighter and shows a lot of potential. Gamboa still fights like an ametuer after all this time what he needs is an actual trainer to teach him proper defense. This proably would have happened a lot sooner if he had fought Juanma back when the fight was hot. Hopefully this is the reality check he needed. As for Crawford I see nothing more for him at lightweight, move up to 140 where the bigger names are. He's a solid fighter but he had the right guy to make him look good in there so I'm not going to praise him just yet
