Both can have extreme effects on you and your life.
Mike Tyson - Marvis Frazier, 1st round, Frazier looked dead.
Samuel Peter - Jeremy Williams, second round, Williams almost died.
Vitali Klitschko - Danny Williams, 8 round beating, Williams undefeated since then.
It depends on who you are and how extreme the damage is that occured.
Long beating is worse. A KO can be like boom and you're on the floor wondering what's happened.
In most cases this is correct, but please compare Klitschko-Williams and Peter-Williams. There always are exceptions. :) But usually, in most cases, you are correct.
he took the fight on 2 weeks notice, see how it affects the fighters training, he was probably watching Johnson tapes and training the way to beat Kirk.
Still after this he stopped him, Lennox is a warrior.
Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to take anything away from Lewis. He was a great boxer, no doubt about that.
rahman was made to luk like a bum in the rematch with lennox
vittALi got his ass handed with the cuts.
sam peter is a little one dimensional,
trust me. no1 can test with lewis
To me you seem to be biased. Maybe you are right, though. :)
your list is flawed NuB...to much to type
I am new to this forum but not new to boxing.
If you disagree ... that's fine with me. But you should take the time to point out what exactly you think is wrong.
I agree Lewis would have knocked Vitali down and out, had the bout not been stopped on cuts.
But Klitschko had Lewis momentarily stunned in the second round. In fact Lennox started slowly that night. A fast starter with power and an agressive fighting style could have taken advantage of that, e.g. Brewster, Peter, Briggs. Not Wladimir Klitschko, though, too much respect for the power that Lewis brings.
lol I'd like to see a in shape Oscar fight sturm again, just to Officially see Oscar fuck up Sturm..
I would rather see Oscar fight Arthur Abraham. Abraham would knock him out I think. :)
arthur will get exposed vs sturm, he doesnt have good stamina and doesnt seem to do well with boxers, despite knocking down ian gardner 3 times the fight scores will still close and ive heard that his fight with eastman was a close one as well
Exposed??
Have you seen him against Kingsley Ikeke? A 6'3'' boxer, that was Abraham at his best.
I think Lewis would have knocked Klitschko down because he could hurt Vitali (so he did, so did Sanders). There were 6 more rounds to go (if not for the stoppage). You cannot see all punches with that kind of injuries, you cannot avoid getting hit hard for six more rounds.
Man, the Lewis - Klitschko bout clearly devided a nation, huh?! :D
Yeah I thought so too. Vidoz was running and hitting him as hard as he could and Valuev was taking it well. That was when I thought Valuev was going to be great. He handled Vidoz well.
Paolo pressured Valuev as hard as he could. In order to beat Valuev you should be a huge hitter (like Peter), a slick boxer (like Donald) or a boxer puncher (like Briggs). :) Nikolay is just too damn big.
Lennox Lewis, in my opinion, is one of the hardest hitters in heavyweight history. He threw hard, fast and accurate punches. But often he wanted to play it save, that's why he decided to box rather than to fight. Have a look at his fights against Golota, Ruddock, Jackson, Grant, Rahman, Tyson. Lewis had very serious punching power, very serious.
These are nsv format (a horrible format) and are unplayable w/o some sort of streaming link. Currently, no player supports the nsv downloaded format.
I guess you get props for trying still.
winamp player is the way to go.
Lennox can handle big punchers very well, see:
Lewis vs Tua
Lewis vs Briggs
Lewis vs Rahman II
Lewis vs Klitschko
Lewis vs Ruddock
Lewis vs Bruno
Lewis vs Tyson
in terms of technical ability and skills Lewis would handle Peter easily..Peter is a big puncher but does'nt have the skills
I was talking about the version that fought Klitschko, not Lennox Lewis in general.
he needs a fight against some good comp before taking a title shot, maybe McCline, Guinn...just someone that he can get some rounds in with and not just hit once and he folds over.
I agree that Samuel Peter should gain some more experience in the ring before fighting for a title. But right now he has what it takes to beat any of the champs or at least give them hell. Samuel Peter is very good, only inexperienced, though. :)
I think the hardest hitters in the division are Samuel Peter, Lamon Brewster and Wladimir Klitschko. Have not seen David Tua's comeback fights (only clips) so I cannot comment on his power right now.
As I said, Peter should gain more experience in the ring before fighting for a title. But, right now, he could already beat some of the champs, maybe even all of them.
with out a doubt Peter would beat him, although doesnt the 7 footer have a good jab, peter tends to not do so well agianst fighters with good jabs
He has a long jab, but it is not very fast or powerful really.
