Did anyone think any different of him??he came across as the not the sharpest knife but a nice fella all the same.....The guy making the videos is like a seedy **** actor This is the point I was trying to make over on the other site before getting kicked. People were like "oh he came across as a nice guy, as a regular guy, not the guy we all think he is" and I have to point out that THAT IS THE POINT. This is essentially damage control. You notice how whenever there's some dude that gets caught on tape spewing racist ****, whether it's Imus or Dog the Bounty Hunter or whatever, they end up going on Sean Hannity's show to show the kinder gentler side, and oh man I can't believe I said those things, that's absolutely NOT how I really feel and I just hope America can forgive me so I can earn money again. That's the same thing with this. Floyd is coming across polite and whatnot, but that's his game right now. He's trying to be like "I don't know why people are saying these things about me, I just wanna fight and these people wanna do drugs and I just wanna be safe is all. They're lying about me and I just want people to know the truth". Unfortunately he's waited too long and the court of public opinion has decided against him. He was fine with sitting back and letting Bob Arum control public opinion and stir it towards Manny. Now he's trying to fight back, but it's too late. People have seen enough of Floyd to make the decision, right or wrong, that the view they have of him (the arrogant, disrespectful woman beating, money throwing antagonist) is the actual Floyd. It's said, but he's made this bed and he has to lie in it. And no amount of Hallmark special videos he makes over at that site is going to fix it.

As someone who used to be homeless, living on the streets and in shelters (when able), I actually find it offensive how Floyd tries to use the Homeless to make his image better. Oh he gave some homeless people five bucks? Well bully for you. You gave out turkeys, so you must be a good guy? Guess what, Nino Brown gave out turkeys, and we all know how he was. It's his mentality that acts like throwing out some bucks to the homeless is actually helping them that is outrageous and offensive to me. How about using your money and influence to get some things done? How about donating some of your money to local soup kitchens? how about hiring some of those homeless people to do some jobs for you, whether it's landscaping or what ever? When I was homeless there were MANY cats out there that were on the streets who have experience with landscaping and manual labor. Who before succombing to addictions or the economy had jobs as contractors and painters and **** like that. He only does things for the homeless when he wants to get some public credit. A lot of people do things for the homeless, but they don't do it for positive attention or anything other than because they feel it's the right thing to do. Jayson Williams, former NBA player (and yes, the guy that shot that limo driver) would often go see sick kids in the hospital and things like that without cameras or anything, because he didn't do it for the cameras. Shaq has done the same thing. People who try to use the less fortunate as a media bargaining tool are, in my opinion, the lowest of the low.

I have a question about this fight. I read somewhere that the WBA (or whoever's belt Haye has) was going to strip him and hold some eliminator tourney or whatever for the belt, since he was going to fight another sanctioning bodies belt holder. Is that true, and if it is does that mean that the MAIN reason that the Klitschkos had for fighting Haye, to get his belt so they would have ALL the belts, would be gone? I haven't heard much about this which seems odd.

No I'm not saying it was wrote for the fight. I heard it before the fight happened aswell. I m saying that i didn't like the fact that it was made with Mosley and Pac in it. The point was people believed that the fight was going to be great when everyone said post Mayweather fight, Shane was done including Bob. Nothing changed but Bobs mind. I don't remember the source but I heard Dre dropped the song from the album. Okay, well still though, this seems you have NO problem with the SONG, and EVERY problem with the FIGHT. So be pissed off at Arum, be pissed off at Manny and Shane. No reason to drag the song into it. that's like me being pissed off at an artist, because they're song was in a movie that sucked. You seem to be inferring, whether you mean to or not, that somehow Dre/Em bought into the idea of this being a great fight, and that's why they gave the song to them to use during the show. I don't think that's the case, I think it's more a situation of them seeing that the buildup show will get a lot of attention, and they used THAT instance to premiere the song. Not sure where you heard it before that, because everyone I know online was waiting for that show because they had heard that the song would premiere during it. Meaning that it had not leaked out beforehand.

Floyd is a fighter not a speaker you fuken idiots ,,, the problem is with the fighthype interviewer not controlling the interview , Floyds trying to tell a story as an analogy to how he feels and he cant get it out in words , doesnt mean anything other than he as trouble conversing what he is trying to say lots of people go like that when the camera is in your face , the interviewer should be asking relevant concise questions and then keep Floyd focused on each question as they come ,,,,, fighthype dont realize the opportunity the are getting to go and have a dill holding a mike saying uhuh , I would love a chance to question Floyd or Pac like this ,,,, what a waste of the chance to pin him to answer some real questions . I used to be over there, and I brought up that very thing. Unfortunately I think they view that as a great "get", and others have pointed out as well, that if he were to push him on certain serious issues, and try to pin him down to an answer, then that "exclusive" would go away. They'd rather have that exclusive and all the web traffic it garners, than to risk losing that by asking questions. Also I think they view that as simply letting him tell his side of the story. This isn't an "interview" perse, as much as it is simply them turning the camera on and letting Floyd tell his side. The site owner is firmly in his camp as far as believing that everything arum is saying is a lie, and that everything Floyd is saying is the truth. At least that's how it comes across. And that very well might be true. But it comes off as a public service announcement by Floyd. Purely a rehab video for his damaged image, disguised as an interview. Look, I get it. It's not always your job to pin someone down and hammering them with hard hitting questions. He's a boxer not a politician that's making serious impacts on people's lives. So in that regards, I don't know if they necessarily HAVE to do anything other than what they are doing. I mean I've interviewed people on my website before, and I don't go after them with hard questions. But then again my interviews aren't with people who are that much in the public eye and are huge controversy magnets either so... *shrugs*

wer all talking about about how big his opponents are since fighting David Diaz up to Mosley but Pac keeps winning and defying logic so why not going to fight for a 160lb title and its a lineal title too....after that Bhop FTW for the lineal title after he beats Pascal :boxing: Well people point to him weighing like 145 or whatever on fight night and say "why can't he go a few pounds more". The problem is that while HE will be hitting around that 147-149 range, the other cats will be 153 or 154 possibly. Sergio is fighting at Middleweight. I think people focus too much on the lower end of that weight class and saying "it's only a few pounds" when unless they force some stupid catch weight thing on us (which they no doubt will), the other dude will be weighting much more. Plus they're used to fighting much larger fighters than Manny. The higher you go, the less your power and speed are as effective as you are used to. I just think it's a bad move for Manny to do that. I don't like Manny, and would be rooting for Martinez to win. That said, it is a no win situation for Manny. Even if he pulls out the victory it's going to get him damaged. Sergio has too much size and strength for him I think. Not taking away from Manny's toughness. Just saying.

i know what your saying but floyd made gatti look like a chump and gatti WAS NO CHUMP oscar even admitted after the mosley mayweather fight that floyd for the most part, was almost unbeatable. Gatti was a warrior with ZERO defense and a come straight ahead style. If anyone was made for Floyd's style it was him. Everyone loves Gatti, and we tend to put him higher than he perhaps should be due to the Trilogy with Ward, and his unfortunate death. But to be fair and honest, you can't judge the idea of Floyd beating Manny based on Gatti, because Gatti was never going to come out of that fight with a win. Floyd is a bad mother****er. No doubt. I despise the man, but I gotta give him his props. Skills wise, he's possibly got no peer in the game today in any weight class. And I don't know who would win between him and Manny, but I also don't think it can be deduced automatically that he would win or wouldn't win. But that's just me.

I think there needs to be specific threads for specific topics. I mean I joined up last night and there were at least 10 threads on the front page of NSB that dealt with "The Article". Two or three dealing with Mayweather's videos over at the other site, and several that dealt with terms on the steroid testing. I think this seriously needs to be cleaned up and instead of having ten people creating separate topics about the same thing, have ONE topic dealing with each one, and everyone post in that. It would make the section easier to navigate as well, with so many people taking part.

You missed the point of my post. Reeneo doesnt have a site if no one talks about the biggest topics at the time they are hot. That may be true, however it's being abused because there are people starting NEW topics when there are already ones dedicated to the topic. There's no reason for that. If there's five or more topics on the front page about THE SAME DAMN THING isn't that a bit much? :wtf: I'm all for talking about the big topics, but not like that. It makes it a daunting task for new people coming in to try to discuss something when it's spread across many topics. There should be rules implemented about starting new topics on things that there's already a topic for. Just my thought.

So are you saying you think the song Die Hard was about Mosley and how he was going to win? Why do you think Arum convinced Dre and Em that Mosley had a chance? You have a thread that's about the song, but you barely even talk about the song, and instead are ranting against the Mosley fight. And what do you mean by saying that now you know what the song is about that it makes it worse?

It would be nice if there were not so many threads about the SAME DAMN THING! Multiple threads about Manny or Floyd fighting Sergio, multiple threads about the videos of Floyd on the other site, multiple threads about Manny and Floyd's testing issues. That coupled with the number of members constantly posting, it makes it difficult to keep up with what's going on. It's difficult to navigate through all the nonsense threads saying the same thing, to find something to look at. It would need the mods to do something though, and I'm new here so I don't know how involved they are.

DAMN that's tough. Both are the only two fighters I really follow currently. Both are beasts and P4P contenders (I have Martinez as #1 over Manny, but that's another story). I don't think I can pick. They're both 1 and 1A as far as I'm concerned, when it comes to exciting.

Keep looking for that "boogeyman" who is holding you down, I see more racism among minorities now then among "white people", but I keep forgetting, its only racism if white folk are doing it. Before you start questioning my "race" I'm an America of Filipino and African-American heritage aka "I'm half black/filipino so I know what racism is I just know that its a two way street. My original issue was with someone suggesting that because the President is black, racism is somehow over. And that there isn't institutional racism still going on today. It most certainly is. I'm not debating whether or not there are other races that are racists. There are racists of all ages, races and genders. I never once suggested that only white people (of which I am one) are racists (of which I'm not).

I know there will be many people dancing in the streets over this news, due to the loaded gloves issue. I find it difficult to be happy about another man being seriously injured like this. This has ramifications that go beyond boxing. Now I suppose it boils down to whether or not you believe he KNEW that he was fighting with loaded gloves against Cotto (if he was in fact fighting with loaded gloves against Cotto). Once Brother Naazim found them prior to the Shane fight, many assume he had them during the Cotto fight. I don't know though. Call me naive but I find it much more logical that his trainer did that without Marg's knowledge. There was never really any proof that Margs knew about it, aside from circumstantial evidence and a lot of presumptions. If he KNOWINGLY did it, then it becomes a bit of a karma moment, as Cotto could have been seriously injured. If he was an unfortunate unknowing participant at the hands of his former trainer, then.... I dunno. I just don't feel any happiness at this news.

You're reading too much into it, man. Dre released the track to for a high impact audience by featuring it on the show. The SHOW decided to put it on there and have them talking over it and training or whatever. That has NO BEARING on whether or not Dre/Em bought into the idea of it being a good fight. Furthermore, the song has ZERO to do with either the fighters or the fight itself. You're disappointed in the fight. Fine, many people are. But you're basically just using the song as an excuse to create YET ANOTHER bullsh*t thread about something that's already got at least five separate threads about it. At least be upfront and honest and say this has nothing to do with the song, which was fine, but the fact that you're pissed about the fight.

I agree. Who else is there other than Mayweather. I disagree. While I have Sergio as the P4P Guy right now, I think he's too big for Manny, and Roach and them know it. I remember Roach and them talking about how when Manny fought Margarito that those punches hurt and that he realized he'd sort of hit the wall as far as how high he could go, because the guys up there were just too big and strong. So I think it'd be an interesting fight, but I think the size difference is a bit much for Manny.
