Would a separate "Mayweather jr. vs Pacquiao" section clean up NSB?
Do you guys support the idea?
recently (especially following a pacquiao fight, considering floyd is hardly active,) i've the NSB section become dominated with threads about the prospective fight between the two top p4p men in the sport.
many of the threads are identical, and lead to the same sort of discussion, and some are of the opinion that it is taking away from BSCene

That's quite the scenario you've built up in your head for yourself :lol1:
c'mon troll... nobody but trolls like posting about the same bullsh!t everyday.
great idea....
pull some strings and make it happen, larry
if i could switch my hair for any hair in the world
it would be a gerry curl (or whatever that guy in your avatar has going on)
and a stash
goddamn i would be cool
Look at the forum. Like you said the majority of the threads in this section are Floyd vs. Pac related which speaks to the majority of the members being interested in debating that topic here. That's the entire purpose of your thread so don't contradict yourself.
As far as the poll results go, people on this forum like to go against the grain. That's the way it's always been since i signed up here. If you had made the votes anonymous i guaruntee you there would be a different result.
the majority of the threads are about pac and floyd because trolls keep trolling, not because people like talking about pac and floyd everyday.

the question is not what will be most discussed
but if splitting them is a good idea
everybody seems to think splitting them is a good idea
we are in agreement about the subject matter on the forum
mayweather and pacquiao account for a good portion of the traffic here
i'm saying if we split it the members who have moved away from the forum because of the current traffic will return
and i'm not sure it will kill the manny and mayweather traffic
it might even help it
Take your whining to the Dr. Phil message boards because you're wasting your time.
We both know this forum is staying exactly the same as it currently is so learn to deal with it. In the meantime i'm gonna continue to bask in all of it's Floyd vs. Pac glory.
of course you like it the way it is... you like wallowing in your own filth
i don't know what majority you're talking about
the poll seems to speak for itself
that guy is a troll and he doesn't want the mods to stop him from being a troll
Everyone is saything that this particular forum will have less posts GOOD!.
I log in pretty much daily and look at first page see all troll posts and log off. I would rather have 10 topics that have been there a week, but have actual boxing conversation rather than people acting like 8y.o and trolling each other.
I would also support a PR vs Mex thread aswell.
If that topic is popular enough amongst the posters here to dominate the majority of the discussion in this section, then how is that taking away from boxing scene?
The majority rules. You and the rest of the whiners are outvoted as evidenced by the quantity of Floyd/Pac threads so pack it in and better luck next time.

I've been asking for this forever.
doesn't matter if people don't post there. mods can just send all gayweather and pac threads there after they are posted on NSB.
i've actually seen this happen in another forum (not with mayweather and manny, but with another subject completely that needed to be split into subgroups)
it takes a lot of work initially, to break old habits
but once people get used to seeing every thread getting moved (in the beginning they'll likely move most of the threads in nsb) it should subside.
i say we try and make it happen
this is driving me nuts

case and point... this thread
arguing about god knows what (roosters, chickens, ducks, cocks, balls, who is which, why "pac wont take the test," etc)

It wouldn't work cause nobody would post there...
Exactly....and who the freak cares anyways? Pac is fighting at least and Floyd is doing his own thing. I'm just tired of all the flipping hate threads rehashing old news and talking about "tweets" and Facebook entries....who cares about that piddly shizz...it isn't amounting to a hill of beans nor a pile of dust as far as a boxing ring is concerned.
People want to hate....might put that hate to good use and hate the man for making his fans fight his battles for him on internet forums.
Great idea, I don't think it will actually happen though.
What I do like is that when a big non-Pac or Floyd fight happens, the Pac/Floyd discussion dies down, even if it's just temporary.
big fights that don't involve either of the parties in question are like christmas
its crazy how all the people with great stuff to say materialize when the threads aren't about mayweather and manny
