he kept on warning shane for putting his head down but it was floyd who kept on pushing shanes head down to drain the energy off a 39 year old fighter & bayless probably warned floyd only once.
Keep in mind im not talking about 1984 Hearns at 154 when he was at his peak and strongest. Im talking about the weight drained Hearns that fought SRL on September 16 1981 at 144 pounds.
I think Hearns comes out strong and maybe lands the right hand with a graze, not square on the chin because of Floyds defense. I also think because of Tommy's reputation Floyd would use the same defensive style he used on Mosley after round 2 and that's keep both hands up and bring the fight to Tommy blocking his shots and slowly breaking Hearns down round by round. Floyd surprisingly would be the stronger fighter being he is 5-7 146, 147 to Hearns 6-1 144 pounds. Hearns would be strong early but the Hearns that fought SRL was weight drained and had some conditioning issues.
Once Floyd figures out that right hand it would be 10 straight rounds of coming forward, blocking and breaking Tommy down to a unanimous decision.
what an utterly disgusting thread. because floyd unanimous decisioned a 39 year old fighter who hasnt fought in 1 year & 5 months, he's gonna beat a undefeated tommy hearns?
are you serious? how did you come to this conclusion? when floyd almost got ktfo by that same 39 year old fighter who hasnt fought in over a year?
You ought to be castrated for this.
lets face it, he proved a lot last nite. mayweather showed he had a chin, showed he could recover and recouperate from getting hurt.. he was hurt badly.. i was so impressed with mayweather. i always been a fan and supporter. but wow last nite he was snapping mosleys head back. i was just blown away
it says a lot about floyd's career that his best win & performance came against a fighter 39 years old & away from the ring for 1 year & 5 months.
who almost KHTFO.
did pac and roach take the fight? no they didnt and thats all that matters
no because they fought cotto, who is almost a decade younger than mosley..
& beat mosley.
thank you come again.
mosley fought old......it is what it is
smh.....
he fought old because he's old.
What shane is pretending to be 39 years old & 1 year & 5months removed from his last fight & faking to be gassed by the 4th round?
Well would he?
pac would have closed out mosley in grandiose fashion.
floyd just padded his undefeated record by beating a 39 year old boxer 1 year & 5 months removed from his last fight.
You people making excuses are pathetic. You're the same homos who said he'd never fight Mosley. Mosley looked the way he did because he found out he wasn't as fast as he thought he was. Mayweather was much faster then him and that's why he was hesitant to pull the trigger or throw punches. Mayweather let him know that early in the fight when he countered over Mosleys jab with a right hand.
dude are you delusional?
if mosley wasnt fast enough how did he catch floyd & almost knock him out?
even that very round shane got tired & stopped throwing. dude, i laid out specific facts & evidence. why dont you do the same.
That was on Shane to prove he had what it really takes to beat Floyd.
That's after actually begging for the fight at 39 YEARS of age.
As I've stated in the past...
Neither Bob, Freddie nor Pacquiao want any part of Floyd.
Now everyone knows why.
But you can be 100% certain that if Floyd looked like shit against Marquez, they would've been shouting and screaming for Floyd's head from the Empire State building with 5 ton megaphones.
Let's get that much straight.
wtf are you talking about? the fight was basically done until floyd asked for something never asked before in professional boxing. all against a 5'6 former flyweight fighter with only 3 figths at welterweight.
Let the excuses begin!
The fight that Floyd practially begged for many years ago -- when the fight really mattered -- was given the cold shoulder by Mosley with the
"My toof hurts" excuse.
Now that Shane begged for and got what he wanted, and couldn't "Pull The Trigger" on, makes him too shot to beat Floyd.
Yeah, OK!
Keep the rest of the excuses coming.
ONE THING IS FOR CERTAIN...
Now you know why team Pacquiao including Bob Arum, don't want any part of Floyd.
They never did.
being 39 years old & away from the ring for 1 year & 5 months are facts. not opinion.
pac vs floyd was on its way to happening until floyd asked a pac no boxer in the history of professional prize fighting has been asked to do.
you tell me who didnt want the fight.
Who deserves the true #1 P4P Spot?
how does almost getting ktfo by a 39 year old boxer who hasnt fought in over a year & 5 months get you p4p 1#?
maybe it was floyd's win vs a 36 year old career featherweight at welterweight?
Pac boys woke up and drank a tall glass of haterade this morning. Pre-fight this was 50/50 fight but now Shane is washed up. Floyd TKO's Manny
50/50? by who?
this fight was a forgone conclusion & the vegas odds for the fight proves that. floyd was what 3-1, 4-1 odds?
I skipped the haterade this morning and had some Hata flakes for breakfast instead...
lol
i had a grandslam hata omelet from waffle house.
Please, show me proof that I thought this fight was 50/50 ? Reason I'm asking is because you said all PAC fans thought this fight was gonna be competitive.
nobody thought this was a 50/50 fight. las vegas odds prove this.
this is pathetic..shane could pull the trigger...he was afraid to cause of the counters coming his way
he was gassed by the 4th round larry. did you not read the examples i showed you in my opening post? or do you just want to ignore them?
Shane was past prime 2 years ago...it took last night for you to realize it? He was tired late in the Cotto fight, Mayorga had him confused.....
Shane can pull the trigger...if the target is right in front of him...and at times IT WAS...when Floyd uses a high guard its very tough to hit him...
agree & disagree.
not being able to pull the trigger is one of the hall marks of a shot fighter.
shane probably beats every other WW.
// thread.
pacquiao would have knocked out that shane mosley that showed up last night. it would have been a exciting fight too unlike this one. even las vegas papers are putting it in proper perspective unlike you delusional flomos.
When he does that to pac then he gets my respect till then Nuff said..
its just ridiculous the threads im seeing from the floyd fan boys. i just saw a thread that since floyd beat a 39 year old shot fighter he would beat a prime ray leonard.
disgusting.
:nonono:
even most of the ppl who bash floyd, were impressed last night....even your fellow poster-haters. haven't heard too many "boring" and "unexciting" comments, as it relates to last night.
bottom line is this, manny could stop shane, but we also know manny is wide open to be hit, so does manny make it out of round 2 if he gets hit like floyd did.
easy to assume manny would outclass mosley like floyd did last night, however ppl who pay attention to the sport of boxing, realize styles make fights, and what floyd was able to do, is NOT a part of pacquiao's repertoire.
like i said before, cut it with the "old" and "shot" garbage. shane probably beats about all the top WW's. maybe pac stops him, but shane can stop pacquiao as well.....it's been done before.

i aint the only one brah.
& coming off a 1 year 5 month layoff. How great is that?
That says a lot about his career if that is his best win to date.
not only was he 39 & 1 year & 5 months removed from his last fight, he almost ktfo floyd.
seriously, this guy is now being treated like a boxing god?
a little perspective please people.
I think some are overlooking why Mosley was gassed by the fourth round. I believe Mosley went into the fight with his mentality pitted towards knocking Mayweather out. I think he focused so much energy on this in the earlier rounds, and by the time he found out it wasn't going to be as easy as he thought, he had used up quite a bit of energy.
Also, it seemed as though he hadn't prepared for Mayweather coming at him so much, and rather than trying to fight he was trying to think.
That's just my thoughts but I'm no boxing expert.
he's 39. hasnt fought in 1 year & 5 months.
I layed out similar examples of this.
see all those fights, the winner always used his legs to win (well Pac also drained oscar, but still he was in and out, in and out and around). This fight is all different. He showed his superior skills by staying there in front of him and beating him constantly to the punch.
so do you just want to ignore the fact that shane was gassed by the 4th round & the fact that he's 39 years old & was off for a year & 5 months?
i showed you examples & explained myself.
did you not see casamayor vs santa cruz? Look at all the examples i showed you. there is a common denominator in all of them. They were all 35 & up. I will get proven right when shane doesnt win anymore fights vs elite competition or retires.
only way im wrong is if shane continues fighting & beats elite competition.
Which one do you think is more likely?
i thought so.
how great is manny if his best wins are against opponents that lost 2 years earlier to a man whos best win is against a 38 year old man
pac's best win is vs barerra 1.
try again.
