Pacquiao tends to throw 4 times as many punches as Judah, and has much more heart
I don't think Pacquiao could hit Floyd consistently, and he does throw 4 times as many punches as Judah, but that will just leave more openings for Floyd.
I agree, I think If Manny were to ever fight Floyd, he should fight Guzman first since they have similar styles.
I maker of this thread is pulling shit out of his ass claiming Pacquiao walks around at 160, trying to make it seem like he's bigger than Mayweather which is a complete Lie. I'm 5'6 125 lbs, i'm really lean, but If I ate Mcdonalds every day I could be 150.
What do you think of Pac vs. Guzman? I see it as a tough match for Pac but one he could win. Pac did cut alot of weight to make 130 and he weighs 145 come fight night, so 160 isn't out of the question between fights.
im the biggest pacfan here in our own corner of metro manila phil.
but pac wouldnt have the chance to get to floyd.
tactics and all.
jmm gave a razor thin outcome with pac.
mayweathers a better "user of the ring"
still being a pacfan, MP can score a KD/KO in early rounds IF he's able to catch PBF.
scoring wise is for PBF tho'
Even if Pac caught could he hurt him? Remember Floyd took Judah's left, who is a natural 147 and packs a good punch.
I don't think Winky could make 154 any more, unless it's for Oscar of course. This would be a perfect fight for Winky, Margarito couldn't punch thru Winky's tight D and Margarito would be open all night when he throws those slow wide shots. Winky UD
There is not too many fighters who can fight above their natural weight and be successful like Floyd has. I don't understand all the floyd bashing on this site. I mean who has been successful in putting on weight to fight much bigger men like floyd has?
thats right.. I watched him WAY back when he beat Diaz for the WBO and also both his Danny Perez fights. I have been a Fan of MARGO FOR A veery long time hombre'
That's cool you been a Margarito fan for a very long time, but that ain't gonna help Margarito find spinks if they ever got in the same ring. Margarito does not cut off the ring, he follows. Cory spinks moves side to side on his bike for 12 rounds, he has good reflexes so he will surely see all of Margarito's slow wide punches, and he is sound defensively.
yes Im Margarito's #1 fan..me and Rogelio
Dude, for one they arent "slow" they arent the fastest.... and they land... and they land a lot..
Spinks isnt solid enough.. he fell ALL over the place in the Mayorga FIGHTS.. he looked like Crap..
Marg would beats Spinks man...chase him down and beat him down
Alright i guess well agree on that they are not fast... At all.
Margorito would chase Spinks all night and he wouldn't find him cause he cannot cut off the ring at all.
I wonder when the fight will be now because hatton fight is nov 22 and i think the two previous weeks were planned fights too. Maybe last saturday in Nov. will be the day.
Last Saturday is a week away from Oscar's, i was thinking first week in November.
I'm starting to wonder if this fight will even happen this year. Hatton has a November date and they said they didn't want to make the fight near hatton's. Then Oscar has December for his final fight and there is no way another ppv runs near Oscar's final fight.
You heard it here first.
all you suckers get ready... hes undefeated for a reason, and Roy was brutally KOed for a reason...
3rd times a charm.
goodnight.
Way to speak the truth reed, Joe Calzaghe by first round KO.
Joe Calzaghe = The best of ALL TIME.
I see Jones winning the first few rounds by outboxing Calzaghe from the outside. Then i see Calzaghe stepping up his pace, getting on the inside, and fighting his fight. When Calzaghe starts to impose his will on Jones we will see exactly what Jones has left. Jones will either go into a defensive shell and Calzaghe will win a ud. Or i see Jones outboxing Calzaghe for all twelve rounds and winning a ud. I think this fight depends on what Jones has left. So i see it as a 50/50 fight.
Clottey wasn't impressive tonight but I still think Clottey beats Margarito. Clottey is a better boxer, he doesn't get hit, and we all saw what Clottey did to him the first four rounds last time. I don't think Margarito's pressure will make Clottey fold.
He was a good fighter with quick hands, good power, good boxing ability. Great he was not his downfall was he was moved too fast and fought a prime Trinidad.
i hope it does,
i want roy to win,
im just being realistic,
Roy hasnt won a significant fight in 4 years,
Realistic indeed, i also favor Calzaghe but i give Roy about a 40% chance. I don't think Roy is completly shot though by any means.
JT talked BIG STUFF LOL and loved it when u talked back to him, too. I got into it with him many times and I saw him verbally really go at it with other guys...but by dinner time everything was fine and forgotten :) Sparring RJ was a GREAT time in my life...gave me confidence as a boxer...RJ was ALWAYS in shape and ready to do rounds...I have known him for more than twenty years now and have NEVER seen him out of shape, not even once. We banged it out sometimes, sometimes he boxed. He has a great arsenal of punches and tricks to his game...I like to believe I did as well with him as anyone, I can remember times when my sparring was supposed to be up for the day and he requested that I stay in longer...his dad told me he loved the work so I consider that a very big compliment coming from him. There is a brief clip of us sparring on my website (in the "pictures" section.)..but the guy who put it on there only put a section of the session where I was doing very well LOL.
Thanks for the information Ice. I checked your website out it's pretty sick. I saw that short clip of you sparring Roy, 10-9 for the Iceman. Those pictures had so much history, that was real cool. Playing video games with James Toney, kickin it with Tyson, in training camp with Jones and like 3 other champs, training Mike Oliver since he was 9 years old.
Scully also frequently served as a sparring partner for some of the biggest names in the sport, including the likes of highly regarded world champions Vinny Pazienza, Roy Jones Jr. and James "Lights Out" Toney.
]
Iceman you sparred with Roy Jones Jr. and James Toney? Did James Toney really talk shit and try to riducule you? What was it like sparring Roy? Did he try and hurt you or just put in the work? Last, how do you think Dawson does against Roy or James?
Couldn't agree with you more, imagine if Roy beats Calzaghe or Oscar beats Pacquiao. That would be 2 legends of the 90's beating the p4p #1(Pac) and #2(Calzaghe)
