I'm personally more of a floyd fan (also like pac but floyd tips it) and i think they are both bitch moves, floyd just needs to fight pac, SSM, or PW... Pac just needs to quit bitching and talking to the press too much etc and just fight one of the same guys.. maybe not PW though because that IMO would be suicide.. if either fight Margo, Hatton (either one) or JMM next then I give up with them and will attempt the drown myself... real talk!

Thread starter is clearly biased in Floyds favour, Im not saying Pacs wins were good either but dont make Floyd out to be a saint. You stans are laughable. Floyds my fav fighter but dont make out hes dominating top class fighters in their primes. I do think his last five fights have been against better op than Pacs but they still were not great. Both need to step up the comp, hard to do when they are the best around and wont get it on (no homo).
Its easy to compare them when you do what the thread starter did. You bigged up Floyds wins more than needed, and down graded Pacs wins more than you should have done.

Back to the topic. I'm a big fan of Floyd but I honestly think this tactic would get him KTFO. If he played it safe, I could see him getting to cocky with Pac missing, and get over complacent (spell?) and in the 11th or 12th I can see him dropping his hands low and getting caught and KTFO after dominating manny for 10 rounds. (not a bad thing as then we could get a rematch!).
I can personally see Floyd attacking Pac, trying to keep it an inside fight and chasing Pac around the ring (I might get shot down in flames for this).
I've noticed Manny tries to counter straight rights with a big left hook type punch, I can see Floyd doing what he did to Judah (not that Zab is on Pacs level). I can see Floyd throwing a quick straight right, when Pac goes to counter with a Left hook/Cross, Floyd will duck under this, pounding Mannys body at the same time before turning Pac in the centre of the ring. (he did a similar thing to Zab, some clever sod posted a Vid on youtube of this.. very smart). Trouble with this tactic is Floyd will always be at risk of getting caught with a sneeky uppercut just like the one that sent Miguel to the floor the 1st or 2nd time possibly. I keep seeming to picture Floyd making Manny look like an amature but then getting cocky and getting caught late in the fight and being put to sleep. I do think Floyd is slowing down a tad with his Feet, but his legs are not GONE like Roach states, he merely didnt use them against Shane as he wanted to stand and fight to prove he can.

They dont seem to have much confidence in Pac... they dont need to try and drain Antonio (not that he'll be drained at 150) Pac will destroy him at any weight IMO.. he'll fight like he did vs Oscar and try not to eat leather too often. He wont trade like in the Cotto fight until the later rounds when Antonio is worn down.

I wont watch this fight on PPV for two reasons... the Belt on the line at a Catch weight. And the fact that Margo IMO is a dirty cheater. I'll watch Pac kill him in the morning on Youtube.

Good post. pac can't fight on the inside for ****, and it's the perfect place to land body shots. pac is vulernable to bodyshots.
He never sent Cotto down with an uppercut. It was a right hook the first time and left hand the second time.
Floyd would use his right hand as a battering ram to cut the distance and get on the inside.
Was it a right hook? My bad mate, I thaught it was more of an uppercut type punch... I do wear glasses so bare with me!!
Also using his right as a battering ram is a good way to put it.. Also Floyd sometimes sticks his left out in a pawing motion, not a jab but just sticks it in the opponents face as a distance measure, I can see him doing this to Manny as Pac has shorter arms, then hell throw a straight right then a left hook. I could picture him doing this over and over. Man I cant wait to see this fight. Floyds one of my all time favs but tbh with this fight I wouldnt even care too much if he lost as long as we get to see this chess match played out!!
To add to that, by inside fighting I mean rough housing, abit like the Hatton fight. Everyone thaught Hatton would make it rough and kill Floyd, but Floyd did it to Hatton, which was very unexpected IMO and caught Ricky off gaurd as he was not prepared for this at all. Hatton was supposed to Kill Floyd with body shots and TBH I cant remember a single decent one he landed. (not that it matters, im from England and also a huge fan of Hatton.)

Yeah hes quite impressive tbh... theres a part of the SSM fight that made me think twice about how good he is on the inside, the Hatton fight was not pretty so was hard to see exactly how good he was on the inside, but later on in the SSM fight (no chance remembering exactly when) they were fighting real close and Floyd lands two quick punches, ducks under two more, lands another then slips a final one before land another short right then backing off... Could Pac handle the same hopefully we get to find out soonish!
No hes not trying to kill him, Roach isn't silly, he knows that if Pac is being roughed up abit in sparring he will pull him out of there fast, but this is good as Margo is a big dude and can be rough in the ring so its good experience for Manny, if sh1t goes pair shaped for Pac Roach will drag him out byt his hair.
The one thats not afraid of Pacquiao. Even when Pacquiao agreed to all those tests that one phoney requested, that phoney still ran into vacation like he always does when someones a threat to him.

I'm gonna answer as un bias as I can. Floyds counters and very accurate and fast, but he seems to throw only 1 or 2 punches, this works on most opponents but will it be enough to keep relentless swarmers away (pac and hatton are two i can think of)? I noticed in the Hatton Fight Floyd had to throw more punches, this is out of his comfort zone but he seems to have no trouble doing it. Round 8 springs to mind when he countered Ricky with a left hook and turned him ended up pinning him in the corner with an 8 punch combo (dont quote me on the 8 punches, could have been more or less.) One punch is not enough to scare someone like those two away, hence Floyd stepping it up a gear and going into Pretty boy mode, not Money mode!
Juan counters very ferociously (spell?) with 4-5 punches, the Pac fights spring to mind. Pac would throw a crazy one two and Juan would dip or pivot then throw 4 or 5 back in order to stop Pacs attacks. Juan is also very good at finding openings in a defence with his counters. The Juan Diaz first fight springs to mind when Juan started to throw a diagonal uppercut punch under Diazs arms which work very well, we all know how that fight ended up.
So to go a little off topic, If Floyd was to fight Pac, I think he would have to throw a few more counters, for example, counter with what ever he finds effecive (most likely a short return right hand much like on one of the BS posters has in his GIF from the Mosley fight) but then after hes landed a good counter he will need to back Pac away with another left hook right hand, left hook right hand 4 punch combo. Just like Eric Morales did in the first fight. So in short, they are both awesome counter punches, two of the best in history. IMO though Floyds balance seems better to keep him in range and able to throw quick sharp counters, but Juans are very aggresive, like a pittbull with a bee up its nose. Both great fun to watch.

I hate these people that actually care about sparring, so what if Pac or Amir dropped one another, so what if floyd got a cut in sparring... **** happens... Damn all I care about is the fights that happen (or in PBFs case dont lol). If Pac or Floyd get dropped in a real fight, then I'll give a damn, until then, who cares about shyte we cant even see. Its possible Pac got dropped and Floyd got cut, if they are both practising defensive moves then of course they could get caught and put on their asses, it really doesnt matter to me as a boxing fan unless its a fight. You cant practise defence in sparring without getting smashed a few times over. That the point of the 16oz and head gear.

Im from the UK but never really likedHatton so this may seem weird but I'll give my honest OP for what its worth. I'd love to say Cotto would win because the weight SHOULD suit him better, and the fact that he is a much better tech boxer and has more ring smarts IMO. But he never seems to do well with people coming at him (Marg and Pac spring to mind, although Ricky is not on their level I suppose). So IMO Hatton would do well, might be able to pull off a win my mauling and smothering Cotto. I think the Hatton that faught Floyd would do better than the one that faught Pac though, but hey thats not what this post is about.
So in an all out war, im gonna say Hatton by 11th round TKO.
