One Reason why I think Floyd beats PacMan easily.

Mayweather will ko Pacquiao in less than 9 rounds. Pacquiao has 0 boxing skills. All he know is to attack attack attack. He does not even do it intelligently. He runs in with his chin up in the air throwing punches. This will lead to a rapid down fall. After Pacquiao realizes he can not land a clean punch he will become frustrated just like Ortiz did. Mayweather has the reach so Pacquiao will be force to lunge in and to try to land a punch. This leaves him open for the left check hook of Mayweather. Mayweather is gonna attack the body right out the gate as well. Look for that powerfull jab to the pit of the stomach by Mayweather to be used to keep Pacquiao on the end of his punches. This will also make Mannys legs really cramp for real. Mayweather is to strong, to fast, and to smart. He has seen everything that Pacquiao can bring to the table. There is nothing Pacquiao can do to surprise Mayweather. On the other hand Mayweather has alot of surprises for Pacquiao. Mayweather does everything Marquez does but 10 times better, on top of all the natural gifts. Manny will be in deep water by R5. His face will be tattered and battered and bruised. He will be embaressed for himself and his country, I believe he will either quit, or his corner will throw in the towel, or the ref will stop the bout. If they do not Mayweather will set him up and drop the hammer with pin point accuracy on Pacuqaos chin, most likely with that right hand lead. I will have a huge after party that night !!! Floyd won't need the combinations. He will counter, get out the way, rinse and repeat to a UD Victory. Floyd will adjust when necessary, PAC will not. This could happen any other strategy by Mayweather could lead to Pacquiao winning, even then Pacquiao is still able to win we won't know till we see them fight

Ok maybe I made a mistake by saying I think Floyd would win EASILY. That I am not too sure about But I still think he wins by UD because of the reason I've stated. I don't understand why some of you think I'm a Floyd fan. I'm far from it. I am a Cotto Fan and even I can admit that Margarito and PacMan beat his ass Handidly. I also Believe Cotto Could Have Beaten Margarito if he had a Better gameplan Like Mosley Did. Mosely Used What Cotto Did right against Margarito and nothing Cotto did Wrong. The same thing Floyd will do to Pac. He will Use everything Marquez did right against Pac and nothing Marquez did wrong, Thus winning a UD over Pac. No, you made no mistake.

The Reason why I believe Floyd would beat PacMan if they ever fight is because Marquez has already shown a way to be effective against Pac. I think Floyd will easily mimmic that style perfectly and even better without making the mistakes Marquez has. The problem with Marquez is he would box beautifully but then get carries away and get caught up in a brawl with PAC and then get caught. Floyd it to smart to let PAC fight the fight that he would want. Floyd will play it real safe and easily cruise to a UD using the same style Marquez has without making the mistakes. PAC will not bring out a macho man type style out of Floyd at any point in the fight to catch him and that's pacs only chance but it will never come. I'm not a fan of either fighter but this is just how I think the fight will go. Mayweather UD and he will boast how he beat the living he'll out of PAC but really only winning a UD by playing it safe. Either way a win is a win and it would be a huge one for Floyd no matter how he wins. The reason because Floyds beat him is simply skill... I wanted the Marquez fight to just see if Pacquiao had improved like everyone said - as everyone I thought that Marquez would get hit too and that the weight would be too much so that the fight would have to be stopped around the 8th round... I wanted to see the new improved right hand - the new defense skill etc. and I not saw a right hand - I even almost not saw a left hand - I saw no better balance - he was getting hit with straight rights all nights etc. to tell you the truth I felt he ain't improved - I felt he is worst then he was in 2008 against Marquez skill wise... that comes if you only fight punching bags with no skill... you are getting used to it - the old Manny would have started hell in the ring to finally get to Marquez - the new Manny not even tried to because he knew Marquez would counter him, hurt him and push him away with punches... The reason why Mayweather wins is skill... as Marquez Mayweather has his foot always ready for the back peddle... Pacquiao will look more descent against Mayweather - because Mayweather will back peddle and let Manny punch air without countering every time... Pacquiao has a punchers chance for the first 3 rounds after that Floyd will dominate him brutally... Manny will say he had cramps again (seems like his new reasoning for being not able to ko someone)... Anyone who actually thinks that Pacquiao could win a decision against Mayweather has no clue whatsoever or knows something about judges been payed off up front

floyd doesnt need to mimic any marquez style. he's way better than marquez and is good at everything he does.. pac should gain confidence first before fighting floyd or he's gonna get schooled and mentally eaten by floyd's trashtalks. floyd can adapt at anything and is way too sharp both mentally and physically, this marquez parameter would affect pacs mindset against floyd but not as much when it is against marquez... floyd relaxes after he was able to adjust at anything thats why he sees everything..

No good us saying this though when they definitley aren't fighting this year.

As he nears 35, Floyd Mayweather Jr isn't beating anybody easily. Especially not Manny Pacquiao. Would I favor him? Sure. He's got a solid reach that he knows how to use well, is an excellent jabber and will probably nullify Pacquiao's combinations. On the inside it would be a total mismatch. But some of those combinations will get through. One, because Pacquiao is blindingly fast and throws from unorthodox angles. Two, because Mayweather is slowing down. Make no mistake about it, this fight would be a war. And the idiots who think Floyd will run in such a battle need to watch his last fight again. A real fan's treat. Such a pity.

Pac's offensive agressive style will overwhelm Floyd's defensive style. Floyd will be trying to match Pacs footwork and will be running a bit. Pac will welcome Floyds counters on the inside and out and give his own. Pacs right hand will be a huge factor, not his straight left. Just my .02. Now if floyd can take Mannys best shots and laugh it off, it will be a long night for Pac. But this scenario is doubtful..

You Do not speak for for Floyd or any other man in this world for that matter. U are not in his mind and do not know how he feels or what he's going through. This topic is about boxing and Styles. There is no reason to speak on how another man is feeling. You are not Floyd. Maybe the things he is is going through is only going to motivate him more, how would you know? Pac may very well be able to beat floyd but I based my opinions on what I've seen in the ring. What are your opinions sticking strictly to boxing and what each man is capable of in a competitive fight? Yes floyd has all the advantages in skills to win a UD against manny, but why of all of manny's opponents did floyd asked for a stricter drug test. It would be an easy win for him anyway so what's the OST for. You see 90% percent of all fights is won by mental, tyson asked holyfield to get a stricter drug test when they first fought, and guess what, holyfield won that fight..

I have a feeling that pac will tko floyd faster than david diaz. Floyd knows he has no chance to beat pac that's why he's taking a vacation when pac is available and return to to the ring when pac has a scheduled fight. :lol1:

All this is, is a high powered Off.(Pac) VS a high Powered Def.(Floyd) n in most sports Def. has had the most victories so that what im goin with! But thats wat makes this fight soo interesting.

I dont think its that he get mixed up in a brawl, its the Marquez does not have a particularly good defense, despite being a good counter puncher, plus, he does not use his legs much, he just counters when someone comes into the kill zone, which worked against him Mayweather cause Mayweather is taller, he was able to stand on the periphery of the kill zone and peck away at him. I think Mayweather's height is a big factor personally.

great post, at least you can actually break things down and give a legit reason as to why you think he would win easily, many people on this board post that a guy is going to win or lose but can't break anything down or give a LEGIT reason as to why they think this or that fighter will win or lose lol

I'm sure if Pacquiao was this easy fighter to beat, Floyd would've fought him by now, no questions asked (ala Ricky Hatton & JMM). This won't be easy for either fighter whomever wins.
