I've been able to enjoy all of them quite a bit. I currently own Fight Night Round 4, I did own 3 but beat the **** out of it, and I rented Fight Night Champion but only had it for 2 days so I didn't get to be really immersed into the game like I would have wanted. I have been able to adjust to the fighting engines in all the games just fine and I don't really have any gripes about them. If you know what you're doing you can be great at any of them, especially if you actually know anything about boxing. I do have one MAJOR bone to pick with the Fight Night franchise overall though. Training! It pisses me off to no end that no matter what you do in training, you lose points on skills you've already built and that's how they designed it. I don't care if they think it's more realistic, it's a bunch of bull****. I took my fighter in FNR4 to a record of 66-0 with 60 knockouts and I could never get him above a rank of 88, I might have got him to 89 once on a good day. But, I don't think if you train one thing you should lose points on another thing, it's counterproductive and nobody can tell me they want to do all that work to never be able to max out their fighter? They tell you to become the greatest of all time, but then they make it impossible to do just that. I also don't like how difficult some of the training games are. I don't expect them to we cake-walks, but like in FNR4 the heavy bad combos game is ridiculous and one little mistake is far too damaging to your final score. You miss one combo one punch and you can kiss a "champion" score, or even a "contender" score goodbye. It's especially maddening because the Total Punch Control doesn't always sense your punches accurately, screwing you over on the training game. I also really didn't like the Maize bag training game. Sure the premise was easy enough but even when you make no mistakes it's almost impossible to get a champion score on it. You can only go so fast through the whole thing so what do they expect you to do? I think that's something they need to really change in the next game. No more point losses for different training games, make them a bit more attainable to beat, and make it to where you can actually max out your guy if you want. You shouldn't be stuck with a guy you worked your ass of with who can barely beat any of the games main roster, that defeats the whole purpose of becoming the greatest of all time.

Adamek cannot KO Vitali, and Haye cannot out box the skillful Wlad for a decision. Couldn't have said it better myself. Adamek is an inflated cruiserweight going against a man who is just too big for him, it's too tall of a mountain for him to climb. The power isn't there for Adamek, and even if his speed is there, Vitali has an iron chin to go with his Dr. Iron Fist. Can Adamek take the kind of punishment that will inevitably deal to him either? His best chance it making Vitali miss and using his speed to out-point Vitali, that is if he can take what does land. Wladimir I am a little worried about. I think Haye's chances are better than some of us would like to admit, me first and foremost. It is important that we never forget that Wladimir does not have the chin his brother does. He has been floored more than enough to make you just a little bit nervous here, that he will run into a big punch from Haye and that will turn the fight around in favor of Haye. Corrie Sanders anyone? Lamon Brewster? Samuel Peter? Maybe I am just being paranoid but this is boxing and anything can happen. Nonetheless a betting man has to think that Haye is still outmatched, his chances may be better than Adameks, but both fighers seem to have pretty bleak odds of victory over either Klitschko.

I don't gamble but if I was betting I'd put my money down on Shane Mosley. Against a lot of naysayers I think this is a tailor made opponent for him and it's his fight to lose. Alvarez isn't that mobile, he isn't very fast a foot or in hand speed, he's too willing to stand in front of his opponent, too willing to take punches, not defensively sound enough yet, not experienced enough against quality fighters, he leaves himself open for a lot of big punches. The way he holds his jab leaves an open window for Mosley's powerful right hands to loop around all night. We'll probably find out how well Alvarez can take a drumming to the body as well. All that Alvarez has going for him is the perceived advantage of being younger, possibly stronger, and more aggressive. If he tries to be aggressive with Mosley, Mosley will use it against him to line up counters to the body, that will in turn open up the big power shots upstairs. Alvarez has some decent offensive tools no doubt, but there's also plenty of questions to be answered about his stamina, his durability, his chin, and how he deals with pressure, REAL pressure. If Mosley is landing on him, wearing him down, and tiring him out, how is he going to handle it? We know that Mosley can survive an attack, he can get on that bicycle and pedal all night avoiding a lot of damage. That takes a lot of focus that people really undermine when evaluating him. A fighter can get real scatter brained out there trying to think of what to do, Mosley always knows SOMETHING to do and seldom gets really puzzled. Pacquiao and Mayweather frustrated him because they were both a little too fast, and that's something he couldn't thwart with tactics. But, Alvarez isn't Mayweather, he isn't Pacquiao, he isn't even Miguel Cotto or Antonio Margarito. This is a very manageable and winnable fight for Shane Mosley. Let me say one other thing too; Someone might get knocked out, and if they do, it's going to be "Cinnamon", not "Sugar".

Also, I didn't use a sopcast stream, I went to a specific website and had a live HBO PPV stream the whole time. It wasn't fuzzy, it wasn't lagging, it never went down. I saw it crystal clear, and I scored it accurately. Apparently people have different criteria upon which they judge. Only in spots did Mayweather really look good. I didn't see any domination or "out-classing" from Mayweather at any point. He was successful on the outside, and that was it, and Cotto kept taking the range away from him, Cotto took away a lot of the effectiveness of his footwork, head movement, and shoulder rolling, especially in the corners and against the ropes, and Mayweather was without a lot of answers out there tonight. Cotto's hooks, jab, and bodywork was getting through, it looked to me like HE was the one controlling the pace most, and he even hurt Mayweather a number of times. We saw the same sh*t on a different day from Mayweather, only today it wasn't nearly as effective, and the guy he was fighting had his style figured out for the most part. The only saving grace for Mayweather was his running away from Cotto most of the night, when he tried to stalk Cotto, he didn't land a lot of great meaningful punches. I saw Mayweather getting caught with a lot more meaningful stuff than what he landed on Cotto. For as much as Mayweather is hyped the stuff he landed shouldn't have been any surprise or anything worth swaying the judges to scoring the ridiculous amount of rounds for him they did. As I said before, sure, according to compubox he landed more, but it wasn't effective. I could throw and handful of rice at you and 1000 pieces may hit you but it doesn't matter in comparison to if I threw a dozen rocks and 6 or 7 hit you. Mayweather got by a lot and that was it. I gave him rounds 2,3,4,7,12. I think that was fair. In the rounds that tipped it in Cotto's favor, I felt Mayweather just didn't accomplish enough and Cotto worked more effectively at a higher rate. As I said before, it's as much about what someone doesn't do and what they do. Mayweather wasn't able to do a lot of things because of the way Cotto fought, and had a lot of trouble doing some simple stuff. There was flashes of brilliance here and there but overall Miguel Cotto made him look like ****.

I think some of you are f*ckin high. I had this scored 7-5 Cotto with him winning rounds 1,5,6,8,9,10,11. That's fair and that's what it was. I don't know where they came up with 118 for Mayweather. It should have at least been a close split decision if it was going for Mayweather at all. It should have been 8-4 Cotto at least, or a draw. Mayweather didn't do enough to win a decision like that, and even the split is questionable. Did the judges bet on Mayweather or something? Was is a phoned in decision, because Mayweather didn't do nearly enough to get that kind of margin. This is De La Hoya all over again, he lost the majority of the rounds but they gifted him the decision, probably to keep the Pacquiao fight intact because if Cotto won there would have been a rematch and the Pacquiao fight couldn't happen later in the year. I am as outraged as I imagine Cotto is. He won that damn fight.

He's fought all the best on the way up, and fought everyone there was to fight, even moving up to fighting full blown middleweights. The only thing that can be said with a shred of truth to it, is that in this last campaign they didn't take the best match-up, they took the best draw, which could turn out to be a great fight anyways. The people most folks want to see him fight are Andre Berto or JMM. Marquez at this point, just wouldn't be the challenge for Pac that he was at one time, and isn't much of a draw. Berto doesn't have a resume that suggests in any way that he even belongs in the same ring as Pacquiao, and still is not a draw. So what were they to do? They found the biggest star they could to put against him, and Mosley has a better chance than people are giving him, even at 39.

Floyd Mayweather may very well have come out of retirement with no real intentions of fighting Manny Pacquiao, but his big f*cking mouth, his dodge tactics, and the shaking of his knees and quivering of his lip every time the altercation in mentioned shows that he is deathly afraid of fighting him. That's why he made the big stink about the drug testing, that's why now he want's more money than they will ever pay him, that's why he's fighting Shane Mosley instead. If it were any more obvious it would be on a billboard in Times Square. This guy doesn't want any piece of Pacquiao. He wants to talk about being the best, than he has to prove it and fight the best. Floyd has never fought anyone he thought could legitimately beat him, all the greats on his list he got to when they we either coming off of loses, past their prime, before their prime, or out of weight divisions where they would have been a greater challenge for him, or just not even on his level(which was the point). Sure, he's got the perfect record, but that means absolutely NOTHING at this point. Name me one person he's fought that was actually bigger than him that he couldn't push around in the ring? You're missing the point. US fans claim they don't like the Klits because they're boring, yet their own 'boring' fighters like BHop and Mayweather are talked up all the time. As an American who has been a major fan of the Klitschko's for as long as they've been showcased on American television I find these accusations pretty fowl and unwarranted. I am also a fan of B-Hop, but it has nothing to do with him being an American. I am a fan of Carl Froch, doesn't matter to me where he is from. I am a fan of Tomasz Adamek, don't care where he's from. Fan of Mikkell Kesslar, don't care where he's from. Fan of Ricky Hatton, don't care where he's from. All kinds of fighters, and where they are from is of no concern to me as far as whether I like them or not. Traditionally fighters from different countries have different styles and I love that. Mexican fighters, European fighters, American fighters, they all have different styles traditionally and that is the only thing that national origin has to do with it as far as I am concerned. It can be an indicator of style. I also wanted to note that I can't stand Floyd Mayweather, and I wouldn't care if he was from Zimbabwe, Zanzibar, or long ago in a galaxy far far away. Excitement is a matter of opinion for starters. It just so happens that a lot of people find it just as exciting and entertaining to watch The Klitschko's dissect people. The problem is, they make it look too easy, and they fight smart. I personally love the technical displays that both of them put on consistently. It's not just the heavyweight divisions quality of fighters, these two are just that dominant. Check the KO % of either of them, their up there with the greatest of all time. Not that I think they would beat the greats of the heavyweight division, but their numbers do speak volumes. A fight doesn't have to be a car wreck to be exciting. Watching a smart technical fighter out-box his opponent is a thing of beauty and that is why Boxing is called the sweet science.

I personally like that they fight in that traditional stand up European styles as well. It's technical and smart. If you actually pay attention to the damage they do to their opponents it's depressing. You hope to God they've got good health insurance and a Roth IRA or something because by the end of the fight you figure they'll be walking on their heels for the rest of their lives.

I say you put the fight at 140 and this fight goes to a split decision that could go either way. It could be a decent fight to watch though.

Maybe here on this forum they don't get a lot of love, but most of the boxing fans I know love the Klitschko's and obviously I live in America. I realize the country is a lot bigger than the little section of it I live it, but the Klitschko's aren't disliked because they are from another country. They are disliked because they aren't maulers in the ring and American fans tend to like beast like Tyson. As far as being marketed as being a big deal, that's on The Klitschko's. Maybe if they did more over here in the states instead of fighting most of their fights in Germany the American fans would embrace them. I remember some odd years ago when they were being heavily featured on HBO, they WERE marketed as the best heavyweights in the world, their fights were heavily hyped, and at the time, America was in love with them. After Lewis refused to fight Vitali in a rematch, and Wladimir lost to Brewster is when most of the American fanbase dropped off for them, and wouldn't you know it, how convenient is this, that is when they started fighting primarily overseas. They just haven't had a lot of exposure over here, and that is what you are seeing a reflection of. That is not due to any kind of bias by Americans, that is due to the Klitschko's doing all their business over there instead of over here. I can remember before Manny Pacquiao was getting a lot of exposure, nobody I knew had even heard of him. Now, most of them love him, and look at the correlation here. He gets a lot of American exposure, he's a God, before that, a nobody and he was still an amazing fighter before that. Same case here with the Klitschko's, and I will maintain to the death that their nationality has nothing to do with it. I think you'd like that to be the case so you can have something else to bash Americans with or hate them for.

I don't like them because they have that robotic Euro style which is lacking in variety and versatility. What they do works and works well for them, don't get me wrong...I just prefer heavyweights to show more skills than they do. How is their style lacking in variety or versatility? last I checked they have no problem throwing smooth combo's, and as far as versatility goes, they've been versatile enough to adjust to every style they've faced so where are they lacking there either? You prefer heavyweights to show more skill huh? Well you're sh*t out of luck partner because they are the most skilled heavyweights in the world by a mile and counting. They display better skills in the ring than the rest of the heavyweights IN THE WORLD. Comprehend that. They are displaying virtually every skill a boxer could posses in spades. The fact that you can't see that does not equate to them not displaying enough skills, it equates to you not knowing what you are watching and having enough boxing knowledge to understand everything that they are doing in the ring. I am sorry to sound like such a d*ck about it, but that's what it is. You aren't going to find any better. What they do might not look like a f*cking bar fight, but it's effective and the fact of the matter is that if someone does know how to actually box, it shouldn't be a big slugfest. It should be slower and methodical because a true boxer is going to wear down their opponent. What you are really saying is that you like "Fighters" not Boxers. You want guys who will go out there with no concern for their safety and livelihood who will be really aggressive and throw tons of wild punches. If you want some retards mindlessly throwing punches at each other, there is always MMA. They pretend they know how to box, maybe that will suit you.

Yeah I have to continue the consensus here. Mosley is one of my favorite fighters of all time. In his prime he would make easy work of Hatton, and I really loved Hatton too. One can't forget the undefeated run he went on, or the way he dominated the lightweight division. His only mistake was moving any higher, and he only did that because he cleaned out the division he was in. It's not like Hatton was always the guy who got freight trained by Pacquiao, and outclassed by Mayweather. He just went further up in weight than he ever should have, and payed a heavy price for it. Regardless, with that being said Mosley is too big, too strong, too fast, and in his prime has every tool to turn Hatton's brains into vegetable lasagna.

If no one over here can see them work, how can they give a damn about them? The used to be the hottest fighters on HBO but one of them suffered some embarrassing losses, and the other one retired taking them out of the trajectory of the major American networks. Add to that the fact that they don't seem to show much interest in coming back to the states and who is to blame here? No one hates them, they just aren't as familiar with them as say Manny Pacquiao who gets tons of media coverage and promotion. Don't you find it kind of funny that a lot of the boxers that get plenty of exposure over here are liked no matter where they are from, but those that we know little to nothing about don't exactly light our fire? Tell me how any kind of bias has anything to do with that. It's simple marketing and advertisement.

Uhhhhh...Yeeeaahhh, I just want to know whose got the pot that Zab is smoking that makes him think he could beat Pacquiao. I would even take Manny over Zab if we were talking about Pac-Man at Junior Lightweight however many years ago when he wasn't nearly as polished as he is today. His sheer volume of punches and durability would beat Zab. And, as someone else mentioned, ever top fighter Zab has faced smoked his ass, so I don't know what makes him think that he could beat the P4P king.

This was a fixed fight to elevate Canelo. Nuff said! Canelo should be ashamed of tonight's performance. He's way too static and rigid. Canelo is garbage Canelo sucked. My sentiments exactly. What exactly did Alvarez do to win the fight again? Sure, he landed his power shots, but how do you win by only fighting a fraction of the rounds, running away the whole time, and BTW still getting popped left and right by 40 yr old Shane Mosley? Mosley took the last 3-4 rounds and you could have given him plenty of the earlier rounds simply because he was the one who made the fight, brought it to Canelo, and was the more active fighter the whole time. Sorry, lethargy and fighting in spots doesn't win a fight in my book. This was supposed to be the great world beater Saul Alvarez? I think if anything we've seen that this guy is over rated and that his 40 wins amount to a hill of beans. If Mosley wasn't forcing the action there wouldn't have been a f*cking fight with the way Canelo kept running away. It was pathetic. I'd give it to Mosley on principle alone, he did more to win this fight than Alvarez, but you can't let the rising star lose. Another phoned in decision that was never going to go the other way, Mosley was robbed. He took a lot of damage and kept bringing it to Alvarez, he's just not a 154lb'er and so the power to lay him out wasn't there, but he was landing a lot of good shots on Alvarez all through the fight, especially towards the end in the championship rounds where he showed what being a real fighter is all about. Robbery at it finest tonight between this and Cotto.

I can't say I agree with most of what I have read in this thread. I think people are giving Bradley way too much credit, and putting too much stock in the Marquez fight leading them to also underestimating Pacquiao. Name me one fighter Bradley has faced that is anywhere near the level of Pacquiao? There isn't even one name on his resume to indicate that he is on Pacquiao's level. Then to come and say that he "Thinks it will be an easy fight" I have to just shake my head in embarrassment for him. Sure, Bradley DOES have some tools, no one can deny that, but has he been swarmed the way Pacquiao does to opponents? Has he faced that kind of speed and power combination before? Has he fought anyone with the chin that Pacquiao has? No, he hasn't. This is not a match of some old broke down fighter going up against a hot up and comer, this isn't De La Hoya - Chavez or something like that. Bradley is the one stepping up here, and Pacquiao is the big fish he is looking to mount in his wall. I think you are going to see a return to form from Pacquiao in this fight. Folks have read waaaay too deeply into the Marquez fight, the media storm that surrounded it, and the doom and gloom forecast by anxious critics waiting to see Pacquiao fall praying to God he is truly slipping off the perch. I highly doubt that. Marquez is to Pacquiao what Norton was to Ali, a guy who just had his number and whose style clashed well enough with his own to make every fight competitive. The only reason people are huffing and puffing about the Marquez fight is because coming in, Marquez was so underrated and given no chance of winning, that when he was competitive everyone **** themselves and thought "Oh no, Manny is a shell of his former self." The bottom line on that fight is that while Marquez was competitive he lost, he didn't go and take the title, he just did better than people expected. Bradley is no Marquez, his style isn't anywhere near similar, and if he tries to employ the same tactics it won't work, he will lose. A lot of you seem to think the Pacquiao camp is just totally unprepared, they know absolutely nothing about Bradley, and have no idea what kind of strategy he may try to employ. That is far from likely. Many have noted that Freddie Roach seems to think Bradley will come forward to Manny. I don't think that's what he's counting on, I think that's what they are going to make him do, by using their own movement, their own speed, their own jab, etc.... They are going to use angles on Bradley as he over commits on his punches and leaves himself off balance and open for flurries of counter punches. If Bradley tries to do the lazy, counter-punch style, he's just going to get out-worked by the flurries from Pacquiao. If he decides to be a pressure fighter and stand in front of Pacquiao or try to come forward, he plays right into Pacquiao's hands. No matter what, I don't see a lot of things working in Bradley's favor. I think a lot of people are building Bradley as a much bigger contender in their minds and on this forum, because everyone is just waiting to see Pacquiao really lose and lose royally. I don't think that hand is in the cards just yet for Pacquiao, I think he's going to show a lot of the critics here that he is just fine on June 9th, and people will be upset when Bradley goes down. Folks are already making excuses for him, it won't matter what way he loses.

As a long time Shane Mosley fan, I've really been anticipating this fight and keeping up with all the happenings and coverage thus far. Canelo and his camp seem to be drastically underestimating Mosley, as have a lot of fans/pundits/experts/critics. Don't count out Shane Mosley before it's over. This is a guy who has a great deal of experience over his opponent, has been on the grand stage many of times, and has faced virtually every kind of fighter there is out there. Alvarez won't suddenly be some type of fighter he's never seen before or been able to beat. This will be another day at the office for Mosley, whereas Canelo is in the fight of his life on the grandest stage he's ever been, and the pressure is more so on him to beat Mosley than it is for Mosley to beat him, especially considering the fact that Mosley in the underdog coming into this fight. I think it's also worth noting that in a recent interview with Shane Mosley, he made note of the fact that in his previous training camps he went in injured and had to heal in preparation for his fights. In this situation he's come in completely healthy, acquired no injuries, and has had his best training camp in years. The point is, he's going to be in better shape and healthier against Alvarez than he was against Mora, Mayweather, or Pacquiao and I think you will see the difference there. Don't let a little number like 40 sway your logic. There have been many a fighters, fighters who were arguably less talented in their primes, who have went on to fight well into their 40's to great success. Bernard Hopkins is a great example, so is George Foreman, and Larry Holmes just to name a few off the top of my head. I see no reason Shane Mosley can not do the same. I think this fight will be much like a bullfight. You are going to see Canelo come out, he's going to try to rush in with speed and power to overwhelm Mosley, just like a bull. And, just like a tenured matador you will see Mosley make good use of his footwork to make Canelo miss with his over-committed punches, and then use his underestimated speed to counter and strike the charging bull, Alvarez. The bull is strong, and fast, but the matador is smarter, and has slayed many bulls before. He knows how to avoid the bull, and he knows how to use it's aggression against it. You will see Mosley the Matador with a sense of calm as he's been to the big show before, against Canelo the Bull with a sense of urgency to win big in his first big fight. Also, just like a bull, Canelo will leave himself open for a lot of damage to be done, this is his greatest weakness in my estimation, he is willing to be hit. Mosley will take those opportunities and his quick right will be looping around Canelo's lead hand all night, leading to the bull being slain.
