Floyd came back to make money to get the IRS off his back and to have people belive that he is still the p4p best. The so called hit list never existed his actions show he just wanted to get some more fanfare and make some cash.(nothing wrong with both)
When Floyd annouced his return to boxing in 2009 many thought it was to take on current p4p king Manny Pacquiao. From what has happened after that announcement took place shows maybe that wasn't really his plan to begin with.
His first fight coming back to the sport was against Pac archrival JMM, who had given Manny problems in their previous 2 bouts. A solid win over JMM could put Floyd right in hunt for the p4p title while not being much of a threat by taking on someone much smaller then himself.
Manny at the time was set to face Hatton who was being trained by Floyd's father. If Floyd's plan was to take on Pac to begin with why would you announce your returm before this fight takes place. Unless your real target isn't Pac but Hatton.
This would make perfect sense. You beat the guy who gave Pac trouble, and then you rematch Hatton in London for big money, after he beats Pac like your father has been telling you he will. As we all know this didn't happen. Hatton got laid out in the 2nd rd. Now this is where the plan starts to back fire.
Floyd decides what the hell I'll fight Pac, if he could handle JMM with such ease and Manny had such a hard time with him, Floyd's size should prevail again over the smaller man.
Then the Cotto fight happened. Manny showed he could take the punches of a bigger man and break a bigger man down. Floyd began to think this fight wasn't going top be as easy as he thought. As the chants of "We want Floyd!" echoed through the arena, Floyd knew this would be a hard fight to duck.
Just days after the Cotto fight Floyd challenges Pac to call him out if he wants a fight. Pac calls him out. Then Floyd wants the fight in March just 4 months after the tough Cotto fight, Pac agrees. Then this is where the drama begins Floyd wants OSDT untill the day of the fight Manny wants 14 day cut off then a test right after the fight. Floyd doesn't move from his stance neither does Pac, the fight gets shelved and Floyd can move on to fight someone who is less of a threat.
Floyd goes on to fight Shane(which I give him full credit for), put some more money in his account and has been on vacation ever since. Nothing wrong with what he did I just want people to see he didn't comeback to save boxing or face the best competition, if it was about any of these he would have a fight coming up. But it never was, it was all about the money$$$.:cool2:
Let the hate begin.
What do you have to say about this, Homo?...
Pacquiao Forced To Take Medical Tests, Murad Blasts Roach
thread is about floyd's supposed comeback is not really about pac. this guy keesp talking about blood test.
This thread proves that ignorance is bliss and that a logical thinking course should be added to every level of education.
the only ignorant or naive people here are the ones who believe floyd wants to fight pacquiao.....
Floyd is irrelevant, a fraud, a ducker, a coward, and whatever else you can think of to call him.......so lets keep talking about him??
floyd does'nt get called all those names for nothing......flomos lie all the time but history does'nt ....
Why would Freddie lie about the med record being lost you homo? Why would he want his own fighter give blood before his fight? Flomos these days sad.

Pacquiao Forced To Take Medical Tests, Murad Blasts Roach
Top Rank chairman and promoter Bob Arum earlier told the original Team Pacquiao members headed by business manager Rod Nazario and the Filipino journalists covering the fight that he had spoken to Marc Ratner, executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission who said "we are not going to let him (Pacquiao) take an unnecessary eye examination if he already had one". When Roach claimed that the medical exam results had been lost, Warren Flagg a former FBI agent who investigated boxing for some fourteen years called the doctor in Los Angeles and asked him to fax the documents to Ratner's office which he promptly did. However, Flagg reported that the tests were done in January and that Finkel and Roach had failed to have Pacquiao undergo a medical examination despite his having sent them a fax informing them of the requirements last March 4.
Flagg said "the last time we came here for the Juan Manuel Marquez fight Roach handled all that. He knew what the hell the deal was and we told them what needed to be done." Murad Muhammad said this never happened in the past pointing out that "every fight we made sure that everything is done and that Pacquiao is prepared mentally, physicially and spiritually. Medical responsibilities were taken care of so that when Pacquiao gets to the site of the fight he does not have these problems."
In an escalating word war Murad accused Roach of "taking pot shots" at him and trying to "tear my character down instead of taking care of his fighter and paying attention to his responsibilities to prepare Manny for this fight. Freddie is giving press conferences yet his fighter doesn't have all his tests done. This is unheard of. This is despicable."
Murad revealed that when Roach claimed the medical examination records were lost "I believed him and thought he told us the truth and took issue with the Commission, only to find out that Freddie lied."

The majority of the boxing public INCLUDING many Pac fans AND including Arum AND Freddie believe Floyd beats Manny all day, every day.
How's he scared of fighting Pacquiao when the majority has him beating the current P4P king?
Think real hard on that one.
no i don't believe that sh*t. majority of floyd fans don't want it by the way they have been behaving in all this. all they wanna talk about is blood phuking test. until you all are free of these stupid ridiculous demands never been asked before of any fighter whose evidence of cheating hasn't surfaced after all these years, nhaa. i don't think you flomos want this fight desperately. you show it by calling out the fraud that he is making a big mistake in acting like a pu$$y.

You're in such denial.
The media loves people who take on challenges.
What they despise, is the guy who talks a big game, but never plays it.
I agree. And pls don't compare him to Ali. Ali talks and back his **** up with activities.

unfortunately I can't refute anything written above. I was so pumped when he came back, I thought it was just a matter of time. Him "announcing" his "comeback" the same day pac fought hatton was just typical mayweather to me, I took it as a shot of the deck of pacquaio, kinda like, yeah I'm back, I'm coming for u, I'ma announce my comeback the same day u fight mother ****er, watch out here I come!!!! To bad everything he's done since then has been a joke. Sadly he probably would have been better off just staying retired, I mean hell, look how far he's fallen since his "comeback". And that "hit list" BWWWWAAAAAA don't even get me started. A "hit list" with one light weight, and one dude 38 years old who hadn't fought in a year and a half. What a joke.
You seem to be regurgitating a non-fact.
He was forced to take a physical by the commission because Freddie lied about Manny's medical records being lost. Check the facts. They're on record.

No need to think hard.
I never said he was scared. My point was he didn't comeback to face Pac or top competition but to make money.
I can find a lot of fans, boxing insiders and journalist who believe Floyd is scared of Pac, but that doesn't make it true. SMH
By the way, I also think Floyd has a good chance at beating Manny, but I wouldn't be rooting for him.
you do sound so ignorant, sir. Manny didn't develop a sudden phobia to testing. He was forced to do a drug test a day before the 1st Morales fight... and he said that cost him the fight. I believe him because he more than redeemed himself in the next 2 fights minus the drugtest.

if neither of them budged on their stance then why is it that it was floyd who found a way out of the fight? it sounds so ignorant when people say that asking for testing was floyds way to duck the fight. any objective person would say asking for testing that manny could easily have agreed to would be a sh1t plan to get out of the fight. i doubt anyone could foresee mannys sudden phobia to testing.

Kirby;10273423']That will change 10 or 20 years or so once both there careers are over.
You think Today's media is gonna carry out in the years to come? If that's true, Ali would be one of the most hated men in boxing for being publicly racist and calling America's hero a white collared zero.
lol.

pac's biggest mistake was not calling floyd's bluffs early on. floyd would have found a way to weasel out of the fight. pac is correcting it now. as for floyd, i don't see any change in his stance. it's not the picture of a man trying to make the fight happen. he can't do it for the love of the sport, for the fans, for the money, or for the heck of it.
i wanted to believe boxers would eventually fight if pushed into it just to save face. he's still young, he still have money left and more money coming for one fight. doens't matter who he fights. he hasn't realized the repercussions when he grows old.

I changed it so it's less of a biased against Floyd.
I agree with you Manny should of just accepted the terms, then we might of had a fight...might of.
at first, i think floyd did come out of retiremnt feeling 100 % of a victoy vs pac....then came pac's destruction of hatton, his confidence reduced to around 80 %......then came the cotto destructon and that shrunk floyd's balls up to his stomach.......he's been scared of pac since then......
I agree. The Cotto fight was the deal-breaker for Floyd. I don't think the Hatton KO really scared him too much because he did the same thing, but when he saw Pac destroy the guy that he ducked, he made up his mind that he didn't want any part of Pac.
