Damn id actually forgotten all about this one. I didnt start watching early enough. So what happened to get you so angry?
Molina got rabbit punched endlessly and ref stood right there without doing nothing. People say Molina has a terrible head game, but come on, that was intentional. Reminded me of Golota ball-busting Bowe when they fought for the first time. Guy was dominating completely and decides to punch him in the nutsack.
When you're winning a fight, it's not frustration, it's just abusive and mean-spirited. And it can cause serious brain damage.
Except its not fantasy. Numerous trainers have said he was an unreal workhorse inside he gym. Mikey garcia said he was the hardest puncher hes ever sparred. Other fighters that have sparred him verify this. Go watch valero sparring morales. Or valero dropping antillon in sparring.
Paul Spadafora once made Mayweather quit during sparring, yet somehow he was never considered a P4P great during his career or did much of importance. Funny, you would think that if beating someone great in sparring was made you an ATG it would've shown in the ring.
I like Porter. Good fighter, lost to Brook yeah, who's a damn good fighter in his own right and put on a boxing clinic on Shawn...of cure for insomnia that is! I've seldom, if ever, seen such a clinchfest.
I would rather have Porter destroying bums if that means we get to see more fights, which is, you know, a boxer's line of work. Not every match has to be a championship duel against an elite fighter. If you don't fight at all, your skills go down.
¿Who do you think he should (and deserves) to fight? ¿Garcia? ¿Spence? ¿Rematch Broner?

Saw the Reid vs. Ottke video. Shameful is an euphemism. Where in the world did that fat retard came from, and how was he allow to officiate any professional boxing match? Pathetic. ****ing pathetic.
Personally, I think that referees in general allow waaayy too much clinching and holding. It's understandable when a guy is hurt & woobly, no more than that. Many examples come into mind, but the worst case I remember was Porter-Brook. Brook was clinching 50% of the fight and Russell didin't say a word.
What a great fight! Both guys would be each other's biggest challenge. Stylistically, Martinez never had in front of him a guy with Canelo's defense and counter-punching. On the other hand, he's got terrific footwork and reflexes, power in both hands and good with combos.
It's a tough fight for both of them...If it goes to the scorecards, I would say that Canelo could edge it the same way Williams did the first fight, as much as I like Sergio, so I guess it's a draw. I don't think either of them knocks the other guy out.
Kovalev's strategy for neutralizing BHop was boxing from the distance so that he couldn't do much on the inside and make him frustated. Golovkin basic syle is setting up with the jab and popping it so can wear out his opponents. Considering it's quite a tool, I can see him keeping Hopkins at bay and avoiding him getting on the inside and making it a trickstery deal at close range.
That being said, Bernard is one crafty dude. He was slick and quick and could find a way to get inside and making it his fight. Plus, GGG's power would chip away at him, he had a granite chin. Once he gets on the inside, Golovkin is done IMO. He would outbox his ears off. So while not 12-0, I can see BHop winning by a wide margin, say, 117-111.
Trinidad vs. Golovkin...that is one hell of a fight.
Whats all the hate for RG? its not his fault the panel of experts bestowed that honor on him after Floyd Mayweather retired for his diligent hard work, he did what these other elite boxers that are aspiring to become P4P should be doing, fight the best and dare to become great.
So he took an L at the highest weight he won a world title but some of these other guys on the P4P ducked fighters took losses and are cherry pickers and inactive. Calling him a slugger is not even something I'm going to address -- it exposes your ignorance to the art of boxing.
Many of the greats have suffered brutal KO's but only a casual would quantify his career in that instance alone.
This. One the most ridiculous things I've read in this forum is all the irrational hatred for Roman (and that's something). Dude defeated just about everyone from 105 to 112, where were all these haters? Apparently not interested enough. Now that he gets knocked out by a bazooka handed guy in a weight class he should've never stepped up to, and he's finally "exposed" as a "slugger with no boxing skills whatsoever". :nonono: Why can't it be that Rungvisai is a terrific fighter who's revealed himself to be one of the best P4P?
Sheesh, resentment is an euphemism. Keep calm and taste the sweet Chocolatito salty dudes :boxing::dance:
I'm writing facts, only...
Sure thing
Hahahahaha.
González never fought other style and he doesn't know how to do.
Are you Stu.pid?
It's like think that Margarito can box and move around the ring.
And that division is not too high.
He weighted only 3 pounds less than Cuadras in his fight.
Only are 3 pounds more of his natural weight that is 112 pounds.
Canelo has more disadvantages in 160 pounds than Choco in this weight and nobody is crying.
¿You're comparing Gonzalez to Margacheato? Pfft, whatever man. Stay salty
Gonzalez is a great fighter and it's kind of heartbreaking to see that he denies he's fighting in one weight class too high. He could try to fight in a different way and adjust his style to use the jab more and dictate the fight from the outside, but I don't know...physically it's clear from the second fight against Rungvisai that he has his plate more than full.
I think he should just go on hiatus mode fighting journeyman in exhibition fights and stay active while losing weight so he can slowly go down back to flyweight without hurting himself, but he should forget about fighting the Cuadras and the Inoyues of the world. ¿And that talk about going up even one more division to 118? Stupid.
