How's everybody think Kassim Ouma is gonna look this Thursday? And does he have the potental to be a star fighter? I don't know what his problem was in his last fight with Roman Karmazin, he looked awful and was dominated in every aspect. I've heard he was battling the flu, or mabey he just underestimated Karmazin. But then it could just be that he wasn't as good as I thought he was. I thought he was flawless against Kofi Jantuah but then I had him just barely winning his second fight against the ordinary Verno Phillps. Ouma is gonna have to dazzle me Thursday for me to get back onto his bandwagon. His opponent went the distance with Jermain Taylor, but from what i've seen of him he really isn't all that skilled a fighter.

I just read a little about this possibility on rabbitpunch boxing and it seems like it makes some sense for both guys. Hatton would be getting a guy who while moving up in weight is a respected boxer who can take a shot punch from anybody. And Cassamayor by most peoples estamation is getting pretty old and after a bunch of very close loses may want to think about going afer his last chance at the top. Any thoughts? I think it could be an interesting fight for Hatton comming off his big victory.

This is a pretty nice match-up comming up and I really haven't seen it discussed on the boards all that much... who's everybody like in this fight? Myself, I don't know what Bob Arum is thinking by putting one of his top prospects up against a boxer like Joel Cassamayor this early in his carrer. Diamond took care of a crafty boxer in Koba Gogoladze earlier this year, but in my opinion Cassa has more than held his own with all the top boxers in his division and is still in the P4P top 15. I think Cassamayor will do his thing and dominate the fight --- Its a shame too because I am a fan of kid diamond, but I think he's gonna be in a little over his head in this match-up.

I jsut saw on boxrec that this thing is a done deal. If it's true all I have to say is F*ck Yeah! It will be an exellent fight

What are your impressions of this fight from a couple years ago? I believe that Castillo dominated from about the 4th round on and should have gotten the lopsided decsion that Floyd wound up stealing. Castillo took it to Floyd all night, and although he wasn't the slicker of the two, he came dictated the pace and gave Mayweather a pretty good beating. I know some like ESPN's Brian Kenny feel that Mayweather won this thing, but I sure can't see any way of it. I admire the fact Mayweather came to fight nursing injuries, but the fact is Castillo won that night, it was just as bad a decsion as any of the contravesial desisions of the last few years.

I hate when this happens, on December 4th both HBO and Showtime will have great cards but only one can be watched live. What is it going to take for these networks to stop skrewing over boxing fans like this. HBO card- Jermain Taylor VS William Joppy (whatever happen to Eastman?) Pauli Malignaggi VS TBA Showtime card- Joel Cassamayor VS JL Castillo Jeff Lacy VS Omar Sheika

I watch tons of boxing on TV, and yet I don't know a damn thing about Paul Briggs (Antonio Tarver's madatory challenger.) Does anyone know anything about him, is he just a loser Tarver can beat blindfolded? If the light-heavyweight divison sad enough to have Paul Briggs the #1 challenger, mabey those dorks from "the Next Great Champ" really do have a chance at getting a tittle fight.

Who's gonna watch what next Saturday, Put me down for the Showtime card. Ouma/Phillps and Vanderpool/Lacy are very evenly matched fights and I think both of those matches could go either way. Plus, you can see as close as there is to a guarenteed knockout in the heavywiight fight. The showtime card, I read is going to be outdoors in a great setting for boxing. I would love to see Trinidad's comback attempt, it shold be a great fight to watch with Mayorga going right after him. But 50 bucks is to much for me to want to pay, since I just got Bernard/DeLaHoya last week.
