Cotto didnt do as bad as i thought rds 9-12
No he didn't... He just nearly got knocked to the canvas in round 12 :S arguably floyd's most dominant round, this comment alone is outrageous and I'm not even going to comment on the part where you said a draw would have been fair that even more outrageous!
From the interviews I have seen, haye seems like he wants to go down the wbc route as wlad isnt interested in a rematch. Therefore I dont beleive this fight doesnt make sense from a ranking perspective as charr is number 8 and david is number 5. A fight with wbc number 3 johnathon banks seems like the best way of going down the wbc route and then fighting the winner of arreola/stiverne to become mandatory to vitali if he hasnt retired by next year. If vitali retires then haye would have a title shot their against the winner I would presume. Banks is also high ranking with the wbo #2 and ibf #5 and at #8 with the wba. Fury is number 4 with the wbc but he is busy fighting cunningham who isnt top #15 ranked by the wbc. However the fight I would rather see from a competitive point of view is haye vs povetkin, plus haye is wba #1 and should then be wlads manditory. I would also be happy with haye vs pulev who is ibf #1 but poorly ranked to banks in comparrison in other rankings.
Im not sticking up for haye's choice of opponents, especially now when he should be fighting pulev or povetkin if they are willing to take that fight. But the vast majority of haye's fans have fallen for charr's self promotion and advertisement and are asking for this fight in their drones on twitter. This will probably lead haye to take this fight as he will beleive it to be credible in the boxing publics eye but it only is with uneducated casual boxing fans. Haye needs to fight pulev if he wants credibility with real boxing fans.
I gave cotto 3 rounds maybe 4, I really dont understand how anyone could have thought cotto won. Also I disagree with some peoples beliefs that mayweather is on the decline because he took more shots than usually does, this I beleive is down to him standing and trying to trade more - also due to cotto's pressure at times
the klitchkos are just upset that all the attention in the heavyweight scene is on haye vs chisora and not on them two. They try and appeal to boxing fans by being articulate and polite but im sure I speak on behalf of most boxing fans who think the heavyweight division is boring and this fight and the controversy leading up to it is making heavyweight boxing exciting again.. for now
