In no particular order :D
Floyd Mayweather - Unbelievably talented fighter.
Ricky Hatton - Brutal intensive fighter.
Diego Corrales - Full of heart and amazing power.
Jeff Lacy - Upcoming Super Middleweight king with amazing close range power.
Winky Wright - Amazingly talented fighter with the one of the best defenses in the game.
Bernard Hopkins - Oldskool Middleweight king and a 100% devoted fighter.
Erik Morales - Exciting to watch and a true Mexican Warrior
James Toney - Funniest smack talker and very talented fighter.
Chris Byrd - Got to get my respect for been the IBF Champion for so long and defending it well despite not been a natural heavyweight
Jermain Taylor - An entertaining fighter with alot of promise.
lol There :boxing:
thats one of the best lists on here
He was a grown man KOing BOYS.
Professionally....Prime guys like Ali, Holmes, Foreman, & Tyson would have creamed him.
i think that is a very harsh comment. boys do not enter the olympics, and if they do, they do not get as far as the q/fs,semis maximum. stevenson was a great boxer and the fact that he was offered a large amount of money to fight ali for the title says it all.im not saying that he would have beaten ali but he would have given him a hard fight. also we must remember that many great fighters have made it big from the olympics, amateur boxing should not be underestimate IMO.
DAMN THATS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE WORSE LISTS EVER. mayweather and morales are the only good fighters. all the rest are huge ass faggots, and the rest are just unknown fighters that dont mean shit.
oh so hatton and gatti are either "unknown fighters that dont mean shit" or "huge ass faggots". the only huge ass faggot around here is u. :D
You people posting up those KO .gifs are disgusting.
No disrespect to the thread maker or anything, because he was simply sharing a piece of history with us. The rest of you are violence hungry animals. You all are no better than the G-Man McClellan.
lol yeh too right
Stevenson was a great amateur. If he had taken his first professional fight against Ali for the title, his manager should be shot. Let's get real. Name one amateur that could have won a title in their first professional fight. Against anyone, let alone Ali.
the fact that he was offered to fight against ali in a title fight on his pro-debut shows he was something special.
being english i can admit that the best boxers come from the us, but us british produce some world class fighters also.the reason american boxers are better is because they have better facilitys better opportunitys which leads to better experience, skills not necessarily better boxing brains.
Roy Jones Jr against Glen Kelly was also a great, spectacular ko.
im new here and wanna ask if there is a quick way to view the threads you have posted in or started? also on the points system, how many points on average should you give out in one karma action?
thanks
because i thought one of your insults 2 sum1 was unecessary, especially when his point was good.i was also kindof experimenting the karma thing(im new), so congrats ur the 1st one ive "bad karma'd". what exactly happens when i bad karma u? do u lose points or just get my message? anyway feel free to bad karma me if u want lol
hey buddy calm down man.. im just try to share my video with you and if you dont want to watch it then dont download it. do ruin it for other people. can i put another link where you can get the video that is not from yousendit.com? if yes so then i'll post it, if not then just pm me for the video.
thanks
what are you talking about - YOUR video my ass
Watch the replay in slowmo. Taylor lands nothing. I thought he must have at least landed an arm shot, but that didn't happen. Hopkins is so twisted out of shape trying to avoid Taylor, that he's actually falling backward.
Give Taylor credit for applying enough pressure to make Hopkins dance, but don't credit him with anything in the landed" column. 'Cause it didn't happen.
Good call on Winky though. Taylor just won't be effective.
yeh ive got to ask my mate to send me the fight but you must be right about that as someone else commented on it as well.
winky's great defense will neutralize taylor's normally effective offence, and winky will do most of the scoring with his good jab.
Nah, if you have the fight on you computer watch it, and while it looks and sounds like it connects it doesn't. At the end of the round when they show the shot from another angle it hits Hopkins square between the shoulder blades on the back and it slides up grazing his head slightly. He wasn't stunned, simply knocked off balance.
But you're right about Winky.
i havent unfortunatley but ill dl it and have a closer look
winky would put on a boxing masterclass. like you all have said taylor wouldnt be able to connect well against his offence, and wright would win by a comfortable UD
I was bein sarcastic smartie pants...and he stuned him though 2nd round i think :)
Round two: Taylor sticks to his jab. Hopkins is rocked by a huge right hand. Every single significant action is accompanied by a huge roar from the crowd before immense silence fills the void when the action lulls. Taylor slams in a left hook and Hopkins is doing nothing. Both land hooks at the same time but Taylor goes back to work after the collision immediately with a right hand followed by another piston-like jab. Hopkins rams home a right and Taylor responds in kind. Hopkins is telegraphing the right and Taylor is finding it simple to beat him to the punch.
Score: Taylor 10-9.
Pfffft, now I hope that is sarcasm.
Winky would with by a UD. It wouldn't be close. Somewhere around the lines of 9-3 or 8-4. Winky's defense is too good and Taylor is too green to find a way to penetrate it.
no i wasnt being sarcastic i was just proving the other guys point that hopkins did get slightly stunned in r.2.
like i said earlier winky would put on a boxing masterclass and taylor wouldnt be able to connect as well against wrights great defence. wright would use his good jab to outpoint taylor for a relatively easy UD.
DONT buy Steve Collins' 'Boxing's Hardmen' DVD .. its a waste of money .. "here's 30 minutes of me beating up Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn at the end of their careers .. oh and heres 30 seconds of Rocky Marciano" ..
yeh it is very biased and i was disappointed as there was only a few seconds on marciano, dempsey, robinson and tyson - who were in his top 10.
eubank was an amazing boxer and imo (and eubanks) the reason he didnt beat collins on one of their fights is because when eubank had him on the ropes, he had flashbacks of what he did to watson, so he held back.he thought he was going to seriously hurt collins.also when collins fought both eubank and been, they were at the ends of their careers.
Juyjuy do u know if there are any good boxing dvds or videos on eubanks career?if so where can i find them?
