Cotto has more genuine Boxing fans outside of the NY contingent in the US, and Hatton has more fairweather fans.
Overall Hatton has more actual bodies though.

Iron chin, although I dont expect him to walk through Cintron's punches as easy as he did in the first fight.
Clottey's body punches made Marg fall back sometimes, that's about the most I've seen him bothered in a fight.
I expect Margarito to do it, and win in the same manner as before, maybe a little later.
Margarito destroyed Cintron whos top 5 he wanted Mayweather for years but of course Mayweather has other plans, he beat a very tough fighter in Clottey, no one wants to fight the guy if theyd fight him hed have a better resume.

This is a tough question because Hatton brings his fans over so technically its not american fans. Cotto packs the garden everytime and has very loyal supporters so id have to say Cotto,Hattons fan base in america is pretty low id have to say, but he brings 20,000 with him over here so im sure he doesnt care.
okay fair dude i feel you on that, how about the really shitty fights where you praying for the bout to end cuz everyone in the audience is sleeping. HBO had a fair number of fights like that, and they didnt do nothing to pump up the blood back to those watching and cursing at their TV. for big fights okay, exception can be made, the event can steal the show, what about the snoozers? how do you explain that?
I must admit, fights like Ruiz-Toney,Raheem vs anyone, a ring card girl would make the fights look alot better.

Cotto's fans are already here though and I believe he can bring more since he fights on American soil all the time. It's easier to come to a fight when your fans are in the back yard rather then across the pond.
Not only Latinos but his style and way of fighting is appealing and fun to watch for everybody.
