Terrible fighters. My grandmother could beat them both, and she left the earth four years ago.
People wonder why boxing is losing its appeal. You have presented exhibit A.
Australia is still a fairly well populated and sports friendly country though, it just surprises me that the Aussie competitiveness hasn't translated itself to Boxing.
Boxing isn't mainstream here at all, and the small population tends towards the more mainstream sports. For instance, I've been involved in sport all my life, and barely know anyone invovled in boxing.
But I agree with Moochie - it's more that there aren't many internationals to fight. In Europe, you can draw from many countries. In the US, there are plenty of boxers to draw from. Here, we can get only get NZ'ers or Indonesians. I reckon I could box for 1 year, and get ranked top 5 in my state - it's that bad.
Still won't be long until we beat you in the cricket........What? We did already?! ;)
To be fair, if bloody Glenn McGrath didn't trip over a ball before the 2nd test, the rest of the series may have been different.
But, well done. You beat an understrength Australian team for the first time in 18 years, on your home turf.
Good to throw crumbs to the peasants occasionally... :)
Anyone who can return from the dead gets my vote.
Funnily enough, I live about 5 mins from Kylie's parents. I drive past her street occasionally, and when she returned home with her cancer scare, the press were everywhere.
Sharmba Mitchell has NO chance. ZERO.
This is another fight where Floyd has been brilliantly matched against a 'name' fighter, who is past it. Floyd will look great, the huggers will say how amazing Floyd is, and the fact will remain that he hasn't fought a meaningful fight since 2002.
blah blah blah
racists
The heavyweight division just got BETTER. Quitschko is gone. Assuming this even sticks. Which it won't. I hope he does come back and gets his bitch ass knocked the fuck out.
Hasim Rahman ran Vitali Klitschko out of boxing.
Still looking for the racist part...
Hahaha yeah, he is a dumb shit.
If it isnt something about Mayweather or Lacy its automatically shit. These posers dont know boxing if they cant appreciate a fighter from any country. If they can only see talent in their own backyard then they definetly need to expand their minds a bit...
Do you think I'm a dumb shit purely because I'm American? Your post seems to reflect that.
Well, I'm not 'American', and I can't ever remember mentioning Lacy in a single post I've ever written.
We threw you peasants a big fucking island!
To be fair we were being good sports, putting out Ian Bell in our 11 to even the odds. We're nice like that.
And a big island it is - which brings us back to the point... it's too big & sparsley populated for a non mainstream sport like boxing ....!
I am proud to say that my ancestors didn't come here on the 'early' boats....
You could always spar with some Sheep from Kiwiland i suppose. Bet the Cannibals in Papua New Guinea might be nifty fighters as well.
Those sheep are very nervous in NZ I hear... They always start shaking when their owners are leading them towards cliffs...
I heard Max ripping Vitali on satellite radio this morning. And he was his usual 10,000 words per minute self. He was saying that the bodies should strip Vitali immediately of all his belts. He also predicted Brewster to be a future heavyweight champion.
This all is compounded by the fact that Max Kellerman has bloodline from Eastern Europe (Germany, Russia). I wouldn't be surprised if he had some Ukrainian blood. I guess this goes to show you, that even people of similar ancestry as the Klitschkos are getting tired of them.
Did anyone else hear this?
So people of similar bloodlines to fighters don't ever criticise them?
Black guys on this forum don't criticise black fighters? White guys don't criticise white fighters???
This thread is ridiculous.
Don't worry mate, you Aussies only have to wait until next year to capitulate again. Gile-o will spin us to victory.
Next weekend will be interesting, England vs Australia in the Rugby.
We're struggling in Rugby at the moment. In the middle of transition, but the transition is going on a bit long... still, rugby is a minor sport here in Melbourne, so I don't know a heap about it.
So you have never mentioned lacy in your post.
Just like i never mentioned that if you are american you are dumb?
Ok i got ya now....
Re-read what you initially wrote, moron, including Juy's quote...
What's inferred by it?
By the way, nice photo of Hamed. Sums it all up, eh.
cough cough!!!! lol
It will happen... just a matter of when. We beat an English team in the past couple of years if I remember, but I think they basically put a 2nd string team on after half time.
It'll probably in a big tournament, when the stakes are high - don't the English team normally choke on the big stage?
That is a clip of Calzaghe while he's washed up, a shell of his former self, but still good enough to give 'swing-for-fences' Lacy a good lesson.
Washed up or not, his technique sucks. He is begging to be hit by a straight right, down the pipe. I think Felix Trinidad proabably even KO's him.
This confirms to me that if he'd ever fought for a 'real' belt (other than WBO), he'd have been spanked.
No, this in fact predicting the arrival & success of none other than the musician - Prince
"And from the East, a dark prince shall arrive in the Valleys of Light. This prince shall begin his journey from the Island of Angels, but will hail from further east still."
This is obviously referring to how Prince arrived in Los Angeles, from Minneapolis - 'Valley of Light', 'City of Lights' ... what's the diff?
Includes a reference to his further-east African roots.
"This prince will have already left behind him a bloody trail of broken enemies, and he shall seem unstoppable. Entering the battleground by air, as if by magic, he shall roar his loyalty to his god so loudly, that his proclamation will be heard across the world."
By air - by magic.. DUH?? Radio???
Prince ruled the airwaves, and left other bands in his wake.
"And from the West, an Aztec king shall come to oppose him. The battle will begin as the sun fades from the sky, and shall rage until the darkness has fallen. The Aztec king shall prevail, and no more shall the dark prince terrorise the world. The Aztec will bear the name of a Roman Emporer: Mark Anthony."
Gets a bit hazy here. I thought the guy from Van Halen was Michael Anthony - and they did mount a big challenge in 1984, from a city with a big Aztec influence. Mexican is also listed as one of his favourite foods. Spooky, eh? And both Van Halen & Prince's support bands nearly ALWAYS performed as the sun faded from the sky, and the main acts liked to perform when darkness had fallen.
Prince went from 'the Devils Music' - rock - to more funk & dance not long after. So Prince stopped terrorising the world.
This is really spooky.
