I think* the Vitali cut was abit worss, I remember watching a video before where the ref. Explained why he stopped the fight, Vitali had 2 cuts - similar to Fury yesterday, but he mentions that the eye-lid on Vitali was droopy - he couldn't open his eye-lid to see out- he had to tilt his head back to see out of it, that's basically the just of what I remember, if I can find the video il link it
He should go back to New Zealand and take one or two confidence building fights. Right now he just needs a win. Lucas Browne could be a good option. Pretty easy fight for Parker but he should be allowed. He's just come off three tough fights in enemy territory.
One of the reasons I was leaning towarda a Whyte win was because hes had a good run recently and had momentum behind him - that can play a big role mentally - would like to see Parker get some wins and build himselg back up
Looking forward to this fight for quite a while, glad it's nearly here.
I watched the WBSS video earlier to help get hyped for it, and one of the main things I took away from it is Usyks lack of an actual trainer, he mentions he didn't have the best camp for Briedis, said that his old trainer was a good man but that he wasn't really helping him improve etc, and by the sounds of it he never properly replaced that trainer, his substitute seems to be his cutman - who he doesn't refer to as trainer but instead as a supervisor - I know Uysk is an elite boxer but I do wonder how a lack of an actual trainer could affect the fight.
I think its more the easy access to social media and finding out this aftermath information
Im sure theres been plenty fractured orbital bones in the sport that just hasnt come to light, probably not the best thing to let future opponanta know aswell
I was actually thinking along the same lines as the OP here earlier today, that broken orbital bones seem to be a more frequent occurance recently and what could be the cause of it in fighters today vs older fighters, but you may have pointed out something here I just completely blanked on, it could just as easily be that we get updates more often now on these injuries sustained in fights, whereas in the 60s (just a decade I picked at random as an example) we could have had just as many orbital bones broken that just didn't get reported on
Really? Maybe then Fury decided to wait till his head was fully cleared before getting up.
Apparently that is what he did, think he says during an interview that he waited abit because he wasn't sure how his legs would feel, and depending on the angle of footage you get you can see fury looking at Reiss before he gets up - as if to indicate hes still conscience
Was this when the heads collided ? During one of the rounds they hit each other moving in, then Parker threw a left hook counter (not sure if it fully landed) but the ref broke them up ad pretty much warned them for clash of heads
Quite suprised by this, seen an eddie hearn video last week? I think (if not last week then the week before, either way not that long ago) where he mentions team ward had contacted him for a fight with someone from his stable, the fighter declined it so i thought he was just inactive from trying to find an opponent not due to retirement thoughts
That is a specific way of wording it, but as of now I'm going to wait until I find out what the banned substance was, because being cleared to fight also sounds odd, I'd.the test came out he was loaded with testosterone I have to hope they would cancel it, It could be that the test came back with trace amounts of weed in his system etc - just waiting for more Info. But if it it is as bad as it looks now - ban, end of
*I was meant to quote Eddie hearns response and this was my reply, didn't quite work out that way
IF Gassiev KOs Usyk then its all Usyk´s fault because he didn't prepare well for this fight and changes his trainer each year.
I posted this during the week after watching the WBSS video -

I may be reading too much into the lack of a trainer but it could come into play.
