I doubt it will go that way. look what pac did to de la hoya
he dont believe in scorecards - this fight has to end in a knockout
I think if hatton is forced to fight more than hold he won't be able
to keep up . hatton needs to hold to hit you
true....but i'm just saying ifwhich is a big if....that would it be pressure to give hatton a decision based on what happened in the marquez/pac 2 fiasco on the scorecards
i have to go w/ pac, seeing as lee is just an actor and pac is the real thing
are you insane bruce lee developed his own style of martial arts....pac is not even in the same league as bruce lee.....i think once hatton beats pac.....this should be the first thread that is shown again...haha hilarious....haha
17 experts pick Manny Pacquiao to defeat Ricky Hatton
The current issue of The Ring magazine has 21 pages dedicated to coverage of the upcoming fight between Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton. One of the features has 20 experts predicting the winner of the fight and 17 have picked Pacquiao. The three experts who have selected Hatton are Steve Bunch (television commentator) by late-round stoppage; Mark Collings (Esquire UK) mid- to late-round stoppage and Stuart Brennan (Manchester Evening News), possibly late-round stoppage.
Interestingly, two men who have fought Hatton -- Paulie Malignaggi and Luis Collazo -- both pick Pacquiao to win. And David Diaz, who fought Pac Man, also picks Manny by TKO.
yea same guys who picked de la hoya to beat pac..haha and pavlik over hopkins....these guys cant predict shit
i think this is a dumb thread...what are these people going to say about pac's speed if hatton beats him? there going to say oh he was in there with a "bigger man"...at the moment there all saying "size" doesnt apply to a featherweight fighting at jr. welter.....get ****in real.....haha pac nuthuggers
cotto wants margo....and it only makes sense...its been building and building up....they just have to fight and cotto know this....if he ko'd margo like mosley did then it really is the end of tony.
this fight is not close hatton will ass rape manny....i will be suprised if it goes longer then 8..too much power, pressure, and yes speed.....hatton's speed will be too much for manny
I do think if pac wins he wont try to defend the 140 title, look at it this way if PAC wins all of his fight it will be much more historic than defending in the LWW division in "Boxing's bigger picture",
Hatton's Motivation is beating the number 1 p4p, not to defend the LWW from an evil invading force.LOL.
what does he do, just vacate both the lineal and ibo belts?...but i agree hes going for the history and ricky has done everything there is to be done at LWW so all he has left to do is try and beat pac....but is it just me but it seems like the media and the "boxing world" as awhole is looking right past ricky...and talking mayweather/pac...could this bite a lot of people in there asses may 2nd?
i voted tie...i'm sure cotto got ripped off from a victory....but it is officially a loss....and mosley beat margo....so that means the linear champ at 147 is clottey/cotto vs mosley
theres too many floyd nuthuggers in here.....there so obsessed that if floyd told them to jump off a bridge they would...these kinda fans deserve cleveland steamers
I think, marg should seriously be punished and get jail-time and have his record flat-out broken by making all his wins into NC's now.
i think we shouldnt take away his wins...just because we cant prove it..in all the other fights...i do think he should be banned for life, because he could have killed somebody....and just leave it as that...i do feel he probably cheated in the other fights...but no proof....
lifetime ban and just leave it as that.
I pretty much agree.
I thought that some of the changes he made to DLH's style were for the worse. Seeing him on the ropes trying to shoulder roll against Vargas was cringe-worthy.
The Pacquiao-Hatton fight will be a big test. I think that the fight is winnable for Hatton, but he isn't going to win it on skill. He's not a Guzman or a Floyd Jr, so Mayweather being able to recognise Hatton's strengths and weaknesses enough to take him to victory will be impressive.
At the present time, there is no way he deserves to be considered great IMO.
yea its winnable for Hatton....but for some to say he doesnt know what he is doing is a little disrespectful, the guy has been around the sport for years
