It is a shame that people always judge floyd after the fact..and never judge him on what the fighter was at the time or what they thought of that fighter at the time....
That's why i laugh at Haters like sin city who swore up and down Oscar would beat floyd and now he says floyd should be basically shot for even fighting oscar instead of a real challenge
No disrespect to Sin City but I have seen that quote... he also said if Floyd wins he will finally get his respect.
Id be gutted,Floyds my fav fighter right now,it would be a major upset in my book, how wud u feel,i no alot of people would love it lol
I will host a party with 8 special boxing friends.. :D
LOL, look how many people picked Oscar to knock him out, saying Floyd took too much of a risk in going up to 154
i bet these same people gave him no credit after the fight despite being severely outweighed at Oscar's natural weightclass.........sad

I wouldn't be suprised, PBF is one of my favorite boxer out there, but this is fuckin' boxing, & I know no one's gonna win a decision against him, so the only way i see him losing is by Knockout, I think it would say alot about what kind of Champ he is if he can bounce back from that. From the Post Mosley/Collazo interview with Floyd it seems he still plans on retiring tho, which will end any dreams of him ever being any all time great.
I for one would be very happy if Floyd got knocked the fuck out. That'll show, he was only good against the non elites and when he stepped up, he was garbage. Of course I dunno how much Oscar has left to really pull it off, but it would be great. Then Floyd can retire after his loss like Hamed realizing, when he took a step up, he couldn't bang with em.
like Naz?
keep on hoping
Hamed beat nobodies
Floyd has already been lineal champ in THREE divisions, beating g. hernandez, corrales, castillo and Judah
...by De La Hoya?
mild shock, I suppose. Haven't really thought about it...don't really care. Any fighter can lose on any given day and Floyd's moving up in weight against a guy was a damn good left hook, the one punch Floyd's most vulnerable to.
Id know he would come back just like Sugar Ray Leonard. But I dont see Floyd losing for quite a few years as long as he moves back down to welterweight after the DLH fight.
I dont care one way or the other.. My problem is not so much with Floyd.. but with his ASSHOLE Idiot fan boys(not all of you just most..the cool guys know who they are) That for their sake I would love to see FLOYDS FUCKING HEAD GET TAKEN CLEAN OFF and sent up to the 15th row..
that is all..
psycho :ugh:

Well they both won their first world titles at Junior Lightweight. De La Hoya has always been the bigger man naturally but it's not as if Floyd is moving up the weights to challenge a Mike McCallum type Junior Middleweight. In fact, I'd be surprised if Floyd wasn't a clear favourite come fight night.
As for being 'exposed'...for me, Floyd has proven his class (in the ring) so if he loses to De La Hoya, I certainly wouldn't put it down to him being exposed. Floyd nuthuggers genuinely believe he is the greatest of all times but the logical among us know this not to be the case. So, from a logical standpoint, Floyd losing might be a surprise but it isn't shocking and it certainly doesn't constitute being exposed...
For the record I believe this will be a close fight whoever wins. Right now I lean towards De La Hoya but my opinion on the outcome has changed several times already, and no doubt it will change again. It's one of those fights where I really can't be decisive in picking my winner. A 50/50 fight. Love it!
I agree with you, he is not fighting mccallum, hearns or wright. It would be unheard of if he did something like that. it would have been like robinson fighting moore or charles instead of maxim.
however oscar currently is one of the best fighters at 154
DLH? One of the best at 154? Someone dig up Felix Sturm again.
i have read the following posts in the meantime
DLHA is a former 130 pounder himself, so they've pretty much followed the same paths. But I wouldnt care if Floyed got KO'd, I'm tuning in to see a fight and this would be as good an ending as any as far as i'm concerned. But yeah, I wouldnt say he'd be exposed if this were to happen, they're both good fighters and one of them has to win, though I am leaning towards Floyed by decision, but wouldnt be surprized at all of Oscar drops a hook and puts him to sleep.
not quite the case. Oscar was a welterweight by 24. he is a significantly bigger guy than floyd is.
in general
i dont see what is wrong in stating that oscar is one of the best at 154. who else is there? spinks, karmazin, ouma... all of them better than oscar?
I'd light candles, drink some eggnoc, exchange gifts cause that would be a fuckin xmas gift and half..........he is going to say he is gonna come foward but he will dance around all fuckin night and win on pionts and then get all emotional like he just beat and ali-type of oppenent...he makes me sick talking in 3rd person....wasted talent....cause if he wanted to be the greatest he fight cotto, hatton, margarito, mosley, clottey, williams and then he has the nerve to say he the shit but until then fuck'em
fanboy? for those who are referring to floyd's fans as fanboys you guys are being immature. so, just because floyd has fans makes the fans fanboys. you guys make me laugh with all of you little nicknames for people on here. this fanbuy nonsense means little to nothing because you're just making yourselves look jealous because floyd's fans actually have somebody they can cheer for and he backs it up for them in the ring. all this fanboy stuff is childish and has no merit to it so i though i'd justr let the detractors on here know that.
anyway, back to the matter at hand, i would be upset if floyd got knocked out because as much as he talks trash, he always backs it up in the ring, wher eit matters at the end of the day. his training regiment is amazing also, so i would feel bad if floyd got knocked out.
the "majority" of floyd fans are fan boys.. thats the only reason we call them that... If your a floyd fan regardless of being a fan boy or not you run the risk of being put in that catagory
