I think Stevenson - Kovalev will, Donaire - Rigo II could well be, other than that the others do seem to be on the wish list rather than likely meetings, but you never know. Maidana - Garcia could be a good fight too but I dunno the likelihood of that, and I'd prefer to see Maidana - Provodnikov tbh.
Maidana vs Provodnikov would be awesome, but what a blood bath it would be!
Who would pay to see this garbage?
As much as I'm a boxing fan, I don't think I would, unless there's a very good undercard. I just though that knowing the result of a fight before it starts kills all his thrills.
This idea that he's "improved" just because he's fought a string of opponents with favourable styles is quite annoying.
Who said he has improved because of that reason, other than yourself?... He has improved some of his techniques, has a better jab and is more active, plain and simple. What the heck does it have anything to do with his opponents?... He could have faced Butterbean and still has improved. You see the result of his improvements against his opponents, but they're not the source of the improvements. Sounds pretty simple to me.
You're only as good as who you fight. He has been allowed to show more things against a bunch of opponents who fought him in a way which suited him down to the ground.
For example, him being "more active" may have something to do with the fact he's been fighting guys who stand in front of him and allow him to get off more shots.
So, according to you theory no fighter can improve other than by his opponents??... A hockey player can't skate faster unless he faces a poor team, a tennis player can't serve faster unless he's facing a dummy??...
Suggestion my friend: why don't you re-read yourself a bit instead of digging deeper in your lost twisted hole...
I haven't heard anyone credible and/or known confirming this and, altough I really wish it's true, i don't think this news has such value at this point.
There's like 10 people who want to see it here. And at ESB there's probably more since that website has so many Brits. Basically only Brits want to see it.
This is definitely not a fight for American or Hispanic fans, this seems to only be tapping into the British boxing fanbase. Khan is about as known as Maidana in the U.S., in fact I will say since Maidana's win over Broner he's more known than Khan in the U.S.
If Mayweather wants to make this a big fight for the Brits, so be it, fight at Wembley or something. Promote the fight in England, count on the UK PPV being strong, raise the price of the UK PPV, have some English fighters on the undercard. Because honestly, Floyd will not get much support from the the U.S. for this fight, not even from his diehard fans like me. So he should try to cater to UK fans for this fight.
Absolutely right.
I made a thread about it
Want to see it as i truly believe Khan will beat Floyd or least has the tools to cause him problems
He may have the tools to cause him problem, but quite honestly I really don't see him beating Floyd. IMO, the only one right now that has a legitimate chance, and only by KO/TKO, is Pacman.
Mayweather vs Pac
GGG vs Ward
Donaire vs Rigo II
Stevenson vs Kovalev
Maidana vs Garcia
That's definitely a wish list, not even sure even one of these fights will be made.
Doesn't want it
People should stop listening to all the excuses made: Floyd doesn't want to fight Pac, that's it, it's not really hard to see. He tries to convince people that Pac isn't worth it, that he lost twice recently, etc. That's just BS. He doesn't wanna to loose his aura of invincibility, he figures he'd put to much at risk. It's just sad because he would have good chances of dominating Pac and make himself an even bigger star. Not fighting Pac is something that will follow him even in retirement.
You can't negotiate with a coward. Mayweather needs to show even one sign that he wants the fight and stop running away with excuses. It takes two to tango and negotiate a fight.
There's no need to call him a corward though, anyone getting in the ring shouldn't neither. Saying such thing only proves that you never laced up dude.
Down the road, when they look at legacies, who would they say ducked who? Majority will say Floyd. Manny needs the fight more, financially, but Floyd needs it more for his legacy.
100% right.
I very rarely say that of a fighter, but Broner is a complete idiot. Whatever goes out of his mouth doesn't have any credibility in my opinion. Above all, he is a very average boxer.
who has knocked out rios. The guy has an iron chin. I worry for him because he might have neurological problems in the long run. He was slurred during the interview after the pac fight. Garcia should have stopped that fight as well as the margaritto fight.
Rios has indeed a hell of chin, with such a poor defense that's a big asset for him, but as you point out, he may well have serious health problem eventually if he keeps on fighting like this.
Are you stupid? Can you check Eric Morales' record first before you post?
Idiotic moron, what the f*ck are u talking about with your Eric Morales? Ever heard of George Foreman, triple idiot? Get out of here ****ing clown and go rent some boxing tapes to educate yourself.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Richardson named two that might shock JR
I will name three that would have SHOCKED JR
1st Pac before all the wars, back when he was destroying big names like Hatton, ODH MARGO COTTO.
Pac would have DESTROYED JR.
2nd A prime Cotto would have shocked the little ducker and possibly made him quit or just plain ole KNOCK him out.
3rd A prime Margo would have tracked him down, put him in the corner, laughed at all the counter shots and then begin destroying the spoiled brat. Margo would have made JR quit or knock him out
All easy work
but the little #### cherry picked his way out and yall worship him hahahaha:dance:
I haven't been in this forum for a long time, but this is not the most brilliant post I've read... I hope your 3000 something others are smarter than this one, lol!
He isn't an average boxer, he is very talented its just he lacks depth to his fight game.
When Broner was down at 130/135lbs he had a massive weight advantage at times, he looked like a monster compared to the guys he was fighting but now at 147lbs we only now get to see how not special he is but regardless of that he is a talented fighter he just so happened to of came across Maidana a man who crushes American hype.
I agree that he has talent, but when you have such a big void above the shoulders you can have all the talents of the world, that won't make you great or even very good.
I might be wrong, but I see Broner has a fighter on whom others fighters will feast on "a la Berto", until his name means pretty much nothing.
I always though the power was something relatively stable, look at GGG, Maidana or even some power punchers from the past, they pretty much always keep their power from fight to fight. It just seems odd to me that Rios, a 140 pounder, says after the fight that another 140 pounder, Alvarado, was hitting harder than Pac.
I don't know if Pac was juiced back then, but it's still a little odd that he didn't get a KO in so many years knowing that the power is the last thing that leaves a boxer...
And Rios, unlike Diaz and Hatton had never been stopped. Hatton had already been dropped and stopped by Mayweather and Diaz was dropped and stopped by Kendall Holt.
Rios has definitely a granit chin, while hatton and Diaz don't, but I still think a more agressive Pac would/could have KOed Rios.
One thing is sure: if Pac and May ever fight each other, PAC won't be as nice with Floyd!
I can't believe what PAC fans can do to protect their fighter... Now, I read that Pac didn't loose any power because he never didn't have any! Are you guys kidding??... I haven't seen too often fans diminishing their favourite fighter abilities just to protect them... Are u guys blind?.... I can't believe there are still people out there who pretend Pacman showed the same power since 2009...Stop denying the facts. That doesn't mean he was on PEDS, maybe he's just fighting differently now, but the power is simply not the same. Plain and simple.
And before anyone accuse me of being a Floyd fan, yes I am, as well as a Pac fan, Ward fan, GGG fan, Garcia fan, Marques fan, etc. you get the point?
I guess almost infinite self belief is what is needed to make it at that level. Still i can't stand how classless he acts against his opponents even after the fight is over.
Other fighters had given bad images of boxing in the past, but I think Borner brings it at an even lower level. It's OK to be flashy, but there is a certain line you don't want to cross. Broner has crossed it many times already. He's the perfect definition of a loose cannon.
Pac has never been a huge puncher above 140. And Diaz and Hatton were face-first fighters who got caught. If Pac had had 8 one punch KO's and then went on a roll of decisions with no KO's, then that would be suspect. Sr. is nothing but a crackhead who is cracked.
Rios is a very face-first fighter who got caught 281 times without even shaking an inch...
