Who actually deserves next shot at Mayweather?

My own opinions . . . . Certainly not Khan. Rule out anyone above 147 as Floyd is a welter (at most). Who does that leave? As the top 140lber, Garcia might qualify but he doesn't appear to want that fight and, until he wins at welter, many would criticise Floyd for "picking on a smaller guy" - even though it would not be the case! So probably eeds to be holder of another version of title or, at least, a top-ranked welter. Rule out Bradley or Pacquiao as, although the best 2 fights out there, they are with Top Rank. Who is left? Maidana? Being Realistic, i say it's Danny "Swift" Garcia, but he passed on it. Runner up would be Marcos "El Chino" Maidana, especially after the he Beat Broner.

Keith Thurman. I agree, why not? Maidana did beat Broner but Broner was not nearly as good as some thought he was. Khan, I mean come on that is a complete farse of a fight. Thurman has the hype behind him and is a big puncher with good speed, he deserves it just as much as the next guy does and he stands a better chance of winning than either Maidana or Khan do.

Easy,Bradley and Lara are the most deserving fighters around both places that Mayweather holds belts..Garcia(does not want the fight)as well,and Thurman and Maidana also put their bid in.. Most deserving tho,is Bradley and Lara..Hands down,I guess Martinez as well if he can get down to JMW..

At this point the most deserving is Bradley, Danny Garcia, and Maidana. Problem is both Garcia and Maidana are too slow and will get picked apart and Bradley is with Top rank and Tantrum boy Floyd doesnt like an 82yr old man named Arum.

Stooping down to Floyd's standards, either Maidana, Khan or Matthew Hatton I guess lol. I'd rather see Maidana or Thurman (who I believe would be the best choice talent wise) get it. Even though Thurman needs one win over Maidana or another top fighter to get it. I'm just so tired of these fighters promising they will try everything in order to beat Floyd but once fight night comes their balls shrink. Wth Maida you know you will get your PPV moneys worth because he will try to go for the kill. Yeah its because they realize how good he is when they face him in the ring.

Tell me....who outside of this site is calling for that fight??? Who outside of this site is going to pay $70 to watch Erislandy Lara, and I'm a fan of the guy. Who is Lara looking fight, Mayweather or someone else??? Did everyone forgot Lara's fights with Molina, Vanes, and the fact he struggled with Angulo. He looked good against Trout, because he's a good fighter obviously. But it was a complete style mismatch for Trout. Both are "slick" southpaw fighters, and Lara happens to be a little bit better at every single thing both of them do. Kinda like Floyd-Marquez. I want to see the two guys who beat Trout fight, Canelo vs Lara. It has a way more realistic shot at happening, Canelo isn't getting a 32 million guarantee no matter who he fights, so Showtime won't have to make up for as much money on that fight. Plus, Lara has a way better shot at landing a Mayweather is he beats a Canelo. Mayweather's best options right now are Pacquiao, Bradley, Garcia, and Maidana. Two of those four aren't happening for promotional reasons this year, Garcia seems to want a tune up at 147 first. It should be Maidana in May. Trust me, you'll see me b*tch is he picks Khan for May. This not doin business with arum is ruining the fights that should be made (bradley,pac) they are by a distance the best oppenents that should be made where no one can complain and also in floyds weight class...............

i want to see golovkin vs mayweather. that will bring the best out of mayweather. he'd probably lose, but it would be a magnificent display if he won. floyd mayweather has no bonafide ATG wins. he has no wins that are even close. that's an ATG win, considering the gap in size. no opponent at 154 or 147 will do that. as poorly as he did/looked against angulo, hernandez, molina, vanes, it's probably lara. there's nobody else at 154 who floyd hasn't fought yet who is near the top of the division. lara has hilarious support on bscene, because a lot of these guys didn't see the fights i mentioned. in their defense, some lara fights are so bad you want to see the recordings locked away. You don't get fights because you deserve it, you never have and you never will. You get fights because you make financial sense to fight.

It's amusing when people try to paint a picture that there are no opponents when in reality, there are fewer opponents only after you factor in all Floyd's excuses and preconditions.

This is easy,the only guys who are capable of beating him in and around his weight are GGG,Martinez or Manny.anyone else and it's a cherry pick or a duck.will these fights happen ? Hell no.probably the most likely reason Floyd aligned with Showtime. the only one around Floyd's weight is Pacquiao. Martinez and Golovkin are both 160lbs.
