Please explain, I like pac but Floyd had an impressive and entertaining win. The last two Pac fights were kinda boring.

Saying that Ali was great and so was Robinson, but he is the greatest of all time. I saw this discussion taking place in another thread so I thought i'd find this article. I respect Mayweather for his skills, but he is not close to SRR or ALI in my opinion. And maybe he is right in his analysis of Ali - with Ali's over reliance on the utilization of his leg and speed skill, and that when he got older so did his legs and a lot of his talent - but come on, Ali and SRR had a million times more heart than Mayweather. And they fought everyone, all challenges. Not only that, they did it in a fashion such that they were willing to get into fights and possibly get hurt in order to win, they gave everything they had to boxing. Floyd, like I said I respect you as a great boxer, but you have not faced legendary challenges like Ali and SRR or even Sugar Ray Leonard did, and you damn sure do not fight like those immortals... Fighting Castillo, Diego, Oscar, and Hatton are good match ups and challenges for the most part, but not even worth mentioning next to the greatest of fighter resumes. What do you guys think?

The question: If "Pretty Boy" Floyd, aka Money Mayweather were to come back in 2009 and fight against: Paul Williams in February or March 2009, Margarito in June 2009, Cotto in September 2009, - and he wins all 3 fights, would he be proclaimed greater then Hearns, Leonard, and Duran? And if not, would he be considered just as great as those fighters? Can he beat all 3 fighters in the same year? Lastly, if he could, would he be deemed the best fighter of recent history by the people on this website? I have a hunch that people would still hate on him, saying he did not fight Clottey and Sugar Shane Mosely....Discuss!!!! :boxing: (p.s. I think Floyd could beat them all, but it would mean that he would have to re-retire, because he would be bloody and beaten up pretty bad after the year)

I guess with all the things happening in America now - i.e. Barack's beautiful victory in becoming our President Elect in an immensely satisfying and historic campaign battle - I figure that the next step in logic is to assume that Roy Jones Jr. will give the American People a great upset over "Super" Joe Calzaghe. This thought is furthered as I watch the footage available on HBO.com and Fighthype.com of Roy and Joe each refining their skills for saturday night. Though Joe looks really good, to borrow a phrase that dwyer @ gamblersadvisory.com said, Roy looks like he is going through some sort of a renaissance. Roy looks amazing, as if he really has turned back the clock. However, Max Kellerman seems to think differently. He left out the X factor. In any fight, though one person may posses many advantages over another fighter, if that underdog brings something to the table that cannot be matched like a brother dying in Margarito's case quite some time ago, or Buster's mother dying before the Tyson fight, you have to figure that in. In this case, I believe that X factor for Roy is his NEED to disply his greatness once again against all of the odds. I don't know if Roy will win or not. The overall odds and attributes have to go to Calzaghe. But **** it, I say Roy over Calzaghe in a mid to wide decision.
