Mike Tyson. He's the best.
His power was devastating.
His speed was the fastest in heavyweight history.
His defense was impeccable. No one could touch him.
He was ranked P4P #1 as a heavyweight. And to my understanding, the only heavyweight to perform such a feat.
Need I say more?
Same with buster dougless. I guess you're right. it didnt have to be a major fight for Tyson to lose. He has TWO decent wins. Larry Holmes and Micheal Spinks. calm down little buddy, but he didn't ko Holyfield. Which is the reason he is over rated. He lost every time he stepped up.
There's a reason why there isn't another Tyson in boxing today.
Nobody can do what he did.
The garbage that you're spewing is proof you have never even stepped into a gym. Otherwise you'd understand how skilled he was from a boxing standpoint. Moron.
Buster Douglas was Knocked Out by Holyfield who struggled and ducked Tyson for years.
Ie Mike Tyson. Lost every major fight. Best win micheal spinks
What is every major fight? Holyfield?
Holyfield wasn't even given a chance, everyone thought he would get KO.
The only reason people regard those fights as major is solely because Tyson lost them. If he KO Holyfield in round 1 then they would have called him a bum instead of an actual challenge for Tyson.
If you don't know anything about boxing then get the hell off a site dedicated to it.
Not only I have been in the gym I know a lot of these guys on a personal level. Me and Chris Byrd, lamon Brewster, and ray Mercer just had this conversation while we watched the Thurman Garcia. We all agree Anyone who knows boxing knows this to be true. But I'll play along. If we was so skilled how come be didn't beat anyone of merit? And show some class name calling because we have different opinions? Who are you Donald Trump?
What makes you say he didn't beat anyone? Because they didn't beat him? If he beat Douglas then he would be referred to as another one of the "nobodies" that Tyson decimated during his first stint as Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. The only person to unify all the belts. The youngest heavyweight champion. The only P4P #1 ranked heavyweight. He was 13 fighting grown men in the heavyweight division and knocking them out.
Boxers used to be terrified going into their fights with him.
no sh1t sherlock. the same thing happens in boxing and other sports.
No, you fool. It's not even remotely the same.
Hypejobs within boxing are formulated by obsessed fans that are blinded by their obscene fantasies. Such as yourself.
UFC on the other hand contains hypejobs that are intentionally catered to by owner and pimp Dana White because without such action the UFC with fail miserably as opposed to Boxing.
boy you sure are threatened by the ufc. face it ufc has already surpassed boxing in the mainstream world.
What do you base this foolish claim off of? Last time I checked, the UFC and their fighters are the ones constantly throwing out the names of boxers, that are retired at that.
but McGregor is all about stand up. he never goes to the ground. so your criticism doesn't apply to him.
and it goes both ways, Floyd and Conor mentioning each other helps both get free press.
as far as UFC not as big as boxing, well like Floyd says numbers don't lie..the UFC is blowing boxing out the water in terms of mainstream popularity.
their fighters are paid crumbs though that's a good point. .but maybe that's a good thing. overpay them and then you have something like PBC, low risk high reward mismatches for top guys.
Floyd is forced to address McGregor because that man initiated the back and forth debacle.
And there is no proof that you can bring forth to back the claim that UFC is bigger than the historically popular sport of Boxing.
Not too long ago a certain fight generated a large sum of money that no UFC PPV could ever hope to reach.
Dana White pays his fighters based on "popularity" as opposed to "skill" at a 300 to 1 ratio.
Fonda Lousey guaranteed 3 mil
Nunes "the champ" guaranteed 100k.
Same business model of the WWF/WWE and you idiots fall for it thinking UFC is "better" than boxing.
300 to 1
Popularity trumps skill.
No thanks, you can keep that GOOFY homosexual gayness queer wrasslin you call mixed martial arts amongst yourselves.
This is 100% true. Those are facts. UFC will never be on the level of Boxing.
''Skip then predicted that 2016 is the “Year of Cam” and predicted a Panthers victory in Super Bowl 50, did he jinx the league-MVP?''
He's probably going to jinx McGregor too. Hopefully.
can McGregor ever reach 4 million PPV's? well there isn't an opponent out there for him comparable to Pacquiao in popularity and star power. .remember it was both Floyd and Manny that pulled that number. it takes two stars colliding to achieve that.
That is not necessarily true. Mike Tyson used to draw a large number of viewers because of the idea that he is going to destroy his opponents. People want entertainment, when they are sure of something they know will provide that particular sort of entertainment they'll pursue it.
Now in the case of the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, many people were under the assumption that it would be an "all-out war" between the two, completely factoring out Mayweather's defensive style. Because the expectation was unreasonably high, the fight left many unsatisfied. It's mainly the fan's fault for expecting something that obviously wasn't going to happen unless Mayweather decided to change his style which was highly unlikely.
In the States you gotta have some ****ing PERSONALITY that is the ONLY reason why McGregor is so popular. He is not the best fighter in the UFC in the Octagon but he is Good! But what separates him from the rest in the UFC is that big PERSONALITY!
If you're not Interesting Outside of the ring people lose interest REAL QUICK! Sure OK you can knock some people out but WHAT ELSE? You could get away with not having Personality or not being able to speak English like Trinidad and Chavez IF you have a Charismatic Promoter like Don King Promoting you. Like Anthony Joshua really don't have much of a Personality but his Promoter Eddie Hearn is a big personality that fight fans and boxing media want to hear from so it works for them
I agree with everything you said. It makes a lot of sense. Especially if you take into account how much people watch Mayweather fight and this is no insult but we all know he isn't the most exciting fighter.
You have to use an charismatic personality to draw people to the fight. If you're GGG and just fight but then go into hiding you can say, instead of establishing an legitimate and stable fanbase then it's going to show when the PPV numbers come in.
and your name is kid BLACKIE lmfao.
I'm tired of people bringing up the name. Kid Blackie is the nickname of Jack Dempsey. He had jet black hair hence his nickname was such. There's Kid Chocolate (Eligio Montalvo) and Kid Dynamite (Mike Tyson).
You guys need to learn some boxing history smh this is pathetic. I'm tired of educating fools. I'm not a professor.
You guys are responding about agendas with an alt named kid blackie. Wow just wow
Actually I'm new here. Kid Blackie is the nickname of Jack Dempsey which is similar to Mike Tyson's Kid Dynamite nickname. My two favorite boxers a long with Roberto Duran as I've stated earlier.
Considering how recent my account registration is and how much of a low quantity of posts I have, you'd be right in assuming I was a mere alt but I'm not.
You had to post this with your alt? Weak.
How unsightly..
If this is your attempt at discrediting me then that is such a shame. You've left a terrible impression of yourself on me.
20th Century Fox is also on that Pro Black agenda because they just disclosed a film that wanted to inform the American public with general facts! What an amazing film too. But of course, it's just ''Pro Black..''
''Pro Black'' is negative? lol
It's not negative but the fashion that he processes it makes it come off as though he is a black supremacist. Attempting to force the idea that everything done by a non black person within the sport is driven by racsim. Also making them out to be "Duckers" or not good enough to compete with Black boxers.
You should have called out all the guys with pro-white agenda as well if you really wanted to be fair. Dontae is biased but no worse than a lot of boxing related YouTube channels. Apparently when a white man does what Dontae is doing, it's acceptable, but when a black man does it, it's reverse racism. Chances are that you are biased towards a particular race despite saying otherwise.
I only watch Dontae so I personally don't care about any other channels.
My problem lies solely with the fact that he favors black boxers so heavily. It causes his opinion to appear not legitimate.
If you know any white channels that showcase the same actions then telling me them would be appreciated. You're right that it would only be fair to do so.
Everyone would rather succumb to race baiting threads that are worthless. It's pitiful.
Just talk about boxing.
I don't really have any high expectations as long as the fight is decent then I'm content with it.
You are Dominican? Where from?
I grew up in Santiago.
I live in New York currently but my family is actually from Santiago. LOL There are a lot of Dominicans in New York but I don't know about anywhere else.
Boxing has become so pro black
1.black guy clinches its skills
2.black guy elbows its slick
3.black moves and moves and moves its boxing not running
4. One black jab equals a power punch
5.black figher starts out with a 10-9 round until otherwise (like guilty until proven innocent)
6.black head butts count as jabs
Shht is getting old
LOL Do you have an inferiority complex?
Let it all out buddy.
Broner hasn't been the same since Maidana fvcked him in the ass...
I see no possibility of him listening.. unless of course Maidana himself gives AB some advice...
Lol yeah.
Can we also acknowledge Holyfield was headbutting Tyson into the next dimension. When you can TKO a man off a headbutt you know something is wrong.
The man threw like 50 headbutts and wasn't even fazed. Did he legit have a steel plate in his head?
I knew there was something wrong when Tyson's punches weren't effective and Holyfield all of a sudden became some great warrior.
I agree completely yet people still love to talk bad on Tyson's name even though he is the best to ever lace em up...
People on the internet telling me, always on BoxingScene
Mike Tyson ain’t bout this, Mike Tyson ain’t bout that
My boy a Killer on Brownsville and them
He, they say that he don’t be putting in no work
SHUT THE HELL UP!
Y'all morons don't know anything
All you retards talk about
Mike Tyson ain’t no champ
Mike Tyson ain’t this
Mike Tyson a fake
SHUT THE HELL UP
Y'all never lived with that mam
Y'all know that he got caught with a case
Having sex with a ton of women
The man been the best since, I don’t know when!
Retards need to stop playin' him like that
They're savages out there
If I catch another retard talking sweet about Mike Tyson
I’m beating their ass!
I’m not playing anymore
You know that man role with Cus D'Amato and them
Hmmm... Sounds like the homosexual "Ground & Pound" technique that they use in the UFC and something Conor is very familiar with.
Dry humping is a technique in MMA. Pathetic.
I mean didn't Conor use the same move on Diaz? I think it's his favorite move. His go to skill.

What MMA glorifies
http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1231717/images/o-UFC-ANDERSON-SILVA-CHRIS-WEIDMAN-GAY-KISS-facebook.jpg
...
Dry humping is actually a skill in MMA.
That fact alone ethers your entire argument. Stop it.
there is nothing gay about this. Just real hard men going at it.
https://s7.postimg.org/68jpg2ctn/censored-ufcweb.gif
😂😂😂😂 👌👌
Tell them man.
Only a certain type of men can appreciate the acts of homosexuality that is MMA.
Unfortunately those of us within the Boxing community don't understand this.
The fewer rules there are the more of a fight it is.
Doesn't mean you have to enjoy watching it.
You don't have to watch wartime footage either.
Don't worry boxers were never actually "baddest men on the planet". They never even broke into the top million. Nothing has changed. You're still allowed to watch boxing.
A Boxer coined that term moron and he lived up to that name.
The Baddest Man on The Planet, Iron Mike Tyson. No man can check him in the streets, ask Mitch Green, he'd tell you.
Everyone feared him, even the police were struck with complete terror.

True story I was wrestling my friend one day when I noticed he stuck his finger in my butthole when he was losing. Apparently it's a move called checking for oil. I don't care how complex fights get with multiple practices if that gay **** happens to me. Stay away from my butthole if you don't have my permission.
Lmao this is what these MMA guys glorify.
They made a sport out of watching gay men go at (or as they refer to it within UFC circles, "Ground & Pound").
Miss me with that suspect garbage.
"Put his finger in your butthole" lmao wtf
u gay?????
Is there something you want to tell us? I'll have you know we already knew you were gay just from your obsession with MMA.
Dry humping another man for 20 minutes is not my thing, unlike you. Weirdo.
