Why? Theres different kinds of bets you can make
Its justs immpossible to make money by betting for a straight win
yea but there really isnt a good bet for this fight.
If you wanna bet the OVER/UNDER, you'll get -210 for the Over 10.5 rounds. Both guys went down in the FIRST round of their first fight, and Williams was legit hurt... so the Under isnt likely, but at +170 its still not a great bet because these 2 guys wailed on eachother for 12 rounds last time and nobody was hurt badly after the first round.
Prop bets are hit and miss.
Idk, no bet feels safe for this one
Came 1 knockdown away from hitting the big dog!!!! damn

some lock lol
it won.... which is all that matters.
lamont just doesnt have that sting on his punches...... and gbp matched ortiz well to continue his comeback.. wit that said ortiz by ko
ortiz should win this. ortiz is the more naturally gifted athlete. ortiz is a boxer/puncher. lamont is a boxer. ortiz should win and might get a stoppage.
lamont is B- to C level boxer.
one thing is for sure, it's gonna be a pitty-pat affair. super boring.
I agree with everything said, but as soft a puncher as Lamont is, I HATE the way Ortiz responds to getting hit.
He pulls back and it seems like EVERY SINGLE punch bothers him.
Peterson is gonna be peppering all the time. I think Ortiz is gonna be frustrated a lot
Don't want to come off as a beggar but I'm desperate to see Mares-Vic
Points/green k for a link. Just name it :boxing:
ME TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
KHAN making the BIGGEST mistake you can make in a fight like this... LANGUISHING ON THE ROPES!!!!!
Should be VEEEEEERY interesting in the final 2 or 3 rounds..............
Round 7:Nice combo by Peterson, and again! left hook by Peterson, Peterson holding on the inside, landing on the outside...peterson jab, and a left hook to the body, Ortiz does NOT like those bodyshots. left by Ortiz, Peterson catches Ortiz coming in. left by Ortiz, bodyshot by Peterson. Ortiz came on late but not nearly enough, its a Peterson round, and 66-65, Ortiz.
jesus i cant believe peterson is back in the fight!!!
I love this guy i hope he wins. I put some money on him at +290
I didn't think Agbeko could outbox a boxer but I think he is clearly winning tonight
damn really? looks like its been close round after close round after the 5th.
Idk though, cant really watch closely
I consider Nonito Donaire to be a very special talent. Every trainer that sees him train just raves about him. He is fast, extremely talented, accurate and a hard puncher. He's really the complete package.
Montiel is very good, but i think Donaire is special. I like Donaire by Decision
If you consider that mediocre fighter Prescott a "monster puncher" than WTF is Maidana? I hate how people brush that loss off as a fluke lost, it proved Khan has no chin what so ever....Khan is good, really good actually, but his lack of chin will only take him so far...he's fought nobody that punches half as hard as Maidana, I don't even know why you're bringing up feather fisted Paulie to compare him to Maidana
props to Khan though, because he's facing arguably the hardest style match up for him at 140...it'll be a great win for him if he somehow doesn't get his head knocked off
See, that Prescott loss DIDNT prove Khan had a bad chin.
When have we ever seen him badly hurt other then in that fight?
The prescott fight is literally the ONLY evidence we have that Khan has a bad chin, and it came in the first minute of the first round.
You can NEVER take that too seriously. Fighters, especially young ones, often come into the ring without warming up properly and are very tight. You can't take a punch if your tight.
Thats why the first few rounds are often disastrous for fighters, yet after they make it out of round 2 or 3, they end up going the full 12. Its the reason why Williams and Martinez both went down in round 1 of their first fight.
And i used Malignaggi fight as a way of showing how much Khan has matured and how patiently he fights now
Watch the Willie Limond fight. He was quite hurt there
Wasn't he wobbled against Barrera, too?
to be honest, imo ANY evidence of a bad chin is irrelevant now. He has matured tenfold on what he used to be, he is much more patient and relaxed (both of which significantly improve your chin), and he has confidence in his chin now that he has sparred with Manny Pacquiao and taken his best shots
No the worst that can happen is you get sued for selling licensed property.
my name is not attatched the site, good luck finding my ass first of all.
and 2nd of all, i read an interview a while back where they asked i think it was Schafer and Arum about this. And these guys often sit on their libraries and don't really care about these small time sites because they are servicing a very small population of hardcore fans.
They'll shut them down if there is blatant copyright infringement, but that is all.
Technically yeah it is illegal but the worst that happens is they shut you down.
There are LEGAL ways of doing this but they require lots and lots and lots and lots of money to buy rights to fights. I'm obviously not there yet.
I wanna give this business my best shot though. There's so much potential here.
yea to me this is really an easy decision. I feel mainstream guys won't make the change cause they are a bunch of *******, but its an easy call IMO.
No disrespect really towards floyd, but if you wanna maintain your P4P status you have to actually fight... and fight good fighters
I'm talking to a guy that showed up after the fight was OVER to declare that he picked the winner.
I'm talking to a guy that logs into SBR to to ask everyone's opinion on fights, before he makes his decision (that's right, bitch, I read that site, too).
I'm talking to a guy that needs everyone else's opinion, before giving his own opinion. And even then, he waits until after the fight is over, to announce that he's a winner.
I'm talking to a guy who picked Katsidis over Guerrero, Williams over Martinez, Pascal over Hopkins, Maidana by "KO within 6 rounds" over Morales. Then brags about how he's never wrong.
You, however, are talking to a guy who has over 1k in a paypal account, that was donated by OTHER people, as a show of gratitude for following picks that he gave out (not even counting the money I have spread out on sportsbooks).
Also, a guy who has his own site (paid for by the lovely people who coat tail my boxing picks).
You should DREAM to have such success. "Call me Sunday.. I'll give ya Saturday's winners". Monday morning QB'ing loser.
www.jabreport.com
I get some right. I get some wrong. But one thing's for certain. I have them posted BEFORE the fight starts. Damn shame you can't say the same.
I ask for peoples opinions on THIS site as well. After EVERY post I say "Thoughts?"
I would be an ABSOLUTE MORON to assume I know all the information at all times.
I pick as many minds as I possibly Can. I read as many previews and watch as many videos on fights as I can.
I'm EXTREMELY honest and open with my opinions on fights. I do this for the sole purpose of having someone else call me out before the fight and explain why I am wrong.
I have learned an incredible amount about betting on boxing from the guys here and from SBR.
The results speak for themselves. The picks you mentioned? I did NOT place a bet on Maidana over Morales, I did NOT place a bet on Williams over Martinez (As a matter of fact, I picked Martinez over Williams in the first fight when he was about a +400 dog as I recall. Also, I posted this in that SBR thread if you wanted proof "Final Prediction: Williams by Decision at +200. I probably WONT bet it though. To close of a call"). I placed a VERY small bet on Katsidis over Guerrero because I thought the bet had value. I lost virtually nothing.
I very frequently make picks that I don't bet on if I dont actually think there's a clear a choice or if I don't believe one of the options has value. I give up analyzing the fight when i realize its pointless, so a lot of picks of over the top or from out of no where.
My results speak for themselves. I've made a pretty substantial amount of money from practically nothing over the last few years, and this is from betting almost never over 100 bucks. Do you know how ridiculous your win precentage has to be to make that much money? I'm AT LEAST 75% on my 5dimes account, and thats pretty ****in impressive if I can say so myself.
Idk what I'm trying to prove to you right now and I shouldnt have to prove anything. I made a very innocent post about Vernon Paris, with none of these ulterior motives that your suggesting.
Was it me or did Coleman just copy alot of his style from other good fighters? While that looks cool to watch boxers have styles from past fighters and even current fighters it just seems to me its not their natural style.
Yea he copied a lot from Mayweather too I thought, and he isn't nearly quick enough for that kind of style
What in the hell are you babbling about? Hitman said himself, that he posts his picks BEFORE the fights. And he doesn't come here looking for props after the fights are over.
Nice job trying to make things up, though.
I do like that you ignored his ENTIRE post, and concentrated on the very last sentence. LOL.
LOL
The entire reason this started is because I was "patting myself on the back"
Is that NOT what hitman just did?
And ignored his whole post?!?!?! LOL did I not comment on the only fight he mentioned and talked about how i was at the fight?
Whatever man lol
LOL.
I can photoshop a 5dimes picture that says I wagered a million dollars on Vernon Paris in about 5 minutes, numb nut.
I also said a few times, that I wasn't saying you didn't have the wager. Just that you shouldn't be looking for props after the fact.
So, uh, try again.
wow. SO photo evidence isn't even enough for you man?
haha. Im pretty sure you're feeling pretty dumb right now. I couldn't in a million years photoshop something that good. It took me like 30 minutes on google to figure out how to even take that screen shot and edit it in something called "seashore"
And yes, you did say I didn't have the wager. not directly, but thats OBVIOUSLY WHAT YOUR ****ING TALKING ABOUT!!!!! If you believed me in the first place, I WOULDNT HAVE HAD TO GO THROUGH ALL THAT TROUBLE!!!!!!
dumb-ass
Difference is.. everything I bet is documented. BEFORE the fights.
"Saying the same" and being able to back it up are two totally different things.
I'm not saying you don't pick winners. I just find it funny that you jump in immediately after the fight, patting yourself on the back about you're "glad you caught it" because "bookies are so stupid". Yet, they weren't so stupid that you could call them out on it before the fight.
If your gonna quote me do it correctly. I said the bookies can be very stupid sometimes. As in, there is very often massive errors in judgement.
Like just this last few weeks when Dawson opened up at apparently +200. It quickly changed to -120 I believe. Thats a pretty big mistake, irregardless of whether or not Dawson ends up winning the fight.
I jumped in after this fight this one time because Vernon Paris, a guy I have been following for YEARS since I saw him on ESPN2, and if you search this website I've asked about his whereabouts for years, finally won a big fight when he was a +300 dog, and I was able to cash in on something I saw years ago.
I'm so sorry that I'm proud of a Great call I made that i was very nervous about, just So i could get a few pats on my back from some kids on the internet.
Wow, I'm such a monster
I get some right. I get some wrong. But one thing's for certain. I have them posted BEFORE the fight starts. Damn shame you can't say the same.
and as for this, I'm POSITIVE i have posted faaaaaaaar more correct picks that I bet then incorrect ones... so.... i guess i can absolutely say the same :boxing:
Not really even a pissing contest.
You just can't expect people to take you seriously if you pop in after the fight to talk about how smart you were for "catching it".
He got a little butt hurt because I put him on blast.
Even if I have picture evidence :(
Being 100% right and then PROVING it to you with PICTURE EVIDENCE certainly makes my butt hurt lol
If I were on youtube. It would be several thousand. Note, I said "NO advertisement".
I'm no webmaster. I don't design websites for a living.
If you could do it better, you would be.
Then what are all those 5dimes ads all about... LOL
But whatever man. IF you're gonna continue to be a prick despite being proven wrong about 100 times over, then Idk why I'm continuing this.
If you want some advice on how to bet, there are plenty of books on the subject and based on your site I highly suggest you buy a few. Not only for yourself, but because there are apparently people that place your bets, and you're setting them up for a disaster.
