I don't like writers depicting boxers as ignorant people. Full stop. Had it been Joshua, or anyone else, I would have written exactly the same things. As I specified in one of my previous posts, I'm a neutral observer, not rooting for Wilder or Joshua in particular. I feel that Joshua is the better boxer, but that's all.
The Daily Star assh*le wrote a technically (and mathematically) wrong thing, either Wilder is a boob or not. And it's ironic, given that he wanted to depict him as an ignorant; at the end of the day, he came out as more ignorant than Wilder, and so are all the people who followed the wake of his idiotic article.
If you're in the public eye getting lippy all the time like Wilder does it's only expected to be called out when dumb statements are made not just for boxers but for anyone. In this case he absolutely did whether you can twist and perform gynamstics to make it seem like he didn't is irrelevant. Laughing at boxers quotes will always be encouraged I had a field day with the gold Hughie Fury dished up telling the media "I'm going in to the Lions nest".

Then again, even if Wilder obviously didn't know, "half human, half hybrid" is technically correct. It means: half of him is human; the other half is hybrid.

Make the Dillian Whyte fight that's a genuine 50/50 contest in most fans eyes where at times they will just stand and tee off. Winner is placed well and moves on to a bigger fight with a strap. AJ is not a good style for Parker just Barry wanting the payday he has a much better style match up against the flawed Wilder.
Better be a win for Parker because Whyte is shockingly overhyped. Relatively straight forward victory just pick the bang average slow, wide, cumbersome Whyte apart and finish strong for an easy night.
The Gypsy King is correct AJ needs the home advantage with a stacked deck and shady officials or he will refuse to fight. But Wilder is no better he has behaved terribly for a decade not befitting of a champion. Even a 400 pound Tyson on the sniff had more credibility than either man.

Yes it will be tough to get sparring partners to replicate Wilder but who will Wilder use to mimic Ortiz? What good southpaws can he find? Charles Martin, Spilzka, Jun Long Zhang, Zhileh Zhang? Not easy for Wilder either. 3 years ago i would put my house on Ortiz to humiliate Wilder but now i'm not so sure he has much left. Hasn't looked great lately even blasting out Martz he was slow and hittable. All the skill is there the body cant catch up
It's common for a boxer to label the opponent who defeated them as the greatest. It's a way of making their own ability seem better than it appears. Wilder isn't even the second best heavyweight and Joshua would viciously molest him.
Team Parker are having a press announcement 2pm New Zealand time which is 1am in the UK. Anyone really think they're going to break the news of fighting Joshua when it's that time in the UK? Course not. If Browne isn't announced as the fighter it wont be AJ either.
He's been built up slowly but he's not the first fighter to be built up that way. And I don't see any other fighters hurrying to try and get in the ring with him. Ortiz was running his mouth on twitter but it's just twitter. He knew he was never a serious option. He don't even know who his promoter is. Myself personally I don't see much difference between Washington and any of these other heavyweights. I really don't.
You just have to look at the other two boys with belts and all the other top contenders and who they fought coming up. Joshua about to fight Klit, Parker fought Takam in his 17th fight who arguably is better than any Wilder opponents. Both those guys only been fighting a few years and half the fights. AJ didn't have a long amateur career and started late. Parker didn't even qualify for the Olympics and is from the arse end of the World with small financial backing. That's just the other young belt holders plenty of contenders that have better names! Wilder has no excuse all of these recent fights there's been at least 10 better guys to pick from, 38 frickin fights!. Indefensible

Agreed, Lonergan and co getting aggressive pursuing the money grant. Then at the 11th hour will announce some miraculous last minute sponsorship deal has secured the fight in for Auckland.
