For me it's tysons fight to win or lose it just depends what Tyson turns up? If he performs as badly as he did against cunningham it's just about guaranteed that haye smashes him early I guess we'll have to wait and see who turns up on the night?
The Cunningham fight should answer some questions about Fury. I like the fact that he's facing a smaller boxer, which will give him a real test skill wise, see how far he's come along. It's a better test than say Price had vs Thompson, which really didn't answer questions about a British hw. It's a very good test for Fury, but I think he will go in there and spark Cunningham, he's confidence is over the moon atm, he's in good shape, young, super hungry, and going 100 mph fast forward atm.
Well said I agree.tyson will be too big and strong for steve and I also predict a stoppage win for tyson,I really hope that when tyson beats steve that he fights pulev next because when tyson beats him that will erase any doubt that tyson can fight and deserves his chance to be champ.i heard an interesting story about 12 months ago about tyson when he was training at the kronk gym in Detroit apparently when tyson sparred wladimir it was a fairly close contest, that was over two years ago tyson has come on leaps and bounds since.
Sure good advice, one problem David price has a chin made of Swarovski.no disrespect to price it will only be a matter of time until he's face first on the canvas again.maybe Thompson does the double?
even though I think Fury is overrated as hell, I think he'd mop the floor with velassquez lol
No way tyson would have zero chance against Cain, tyson is a boxer cain is a mma fighter two different sports,I. All honesty I think tyson would struggle against guys in the UFC like mark hunt or even Roy Nelson who are only fringe contenders in the UFC.if tyson is really serious about fighting in the UFC I would like to see him fight Dana white now that would be worth watching.maybe the biggest pay per view of all time.lol.dana get it signed.....
In all honesty I wouldn't even mind if tyson was champ for a week as long as it ends the boreathon that the klitsckhos have created in the former glamour division of boxing? Iam looking forward to tyson v cunningham more than any of the other heavyweight fights since Lewis v tyson.in my opinion that's how boring the heavyweight division has become with the klitsckhos in charge!
great result for king sam"one of the nicest guys in the sport"just hope that danny geale beats sturm though mega fight downunder for the belts, come on danny.
Really disappointed fury v boystov ain't happening I just hope now his team can find a worthy world class opponent on such short notice.one guy who comes to mind who has already been mentioned is Tony grano, well let"s hope anyway.
The good big man always beats the good small man! Steve was a fantastic cruiserweight champ but this is the heavyweights steve! I imagine if tyson sticks to a good game plan he should at least win this won on points or maybe even a late stoppage.
really hope chagaev can find a trainer and sort out his management problems and sign for this fight, chagaev would really be a big test for tyson "the test that he really needs"considering tyson is now wbc top 10 he needs to be fighting this type of guys not just fringe contenders"chisora pajkic maddalone etc" .the other fight i like for tyson if chagaev falls through is a guy from new zealand called shane cameron.shane cameron got hammered by david tua in a couple of rounds a few years ago but has since won a few and was sparring partner to david haye and i think would give tyson a good run for his money for a few rounds.but lets hope ex world champ chagaev gets the fight lets wait and see???
It would be a big statement if Tyson was to stop Kevin Johnson especially considering a massive puncher in vitali kiltschko could"t .But Tyson does not won"t to make the same mistake Alex leapai made earlier this year by going in all gun"s blazin and nearly stopping kingpin but did"nt and punched him self out And got stopped himself. For Tyson just winning this fight for him would be good because this guy is no doubt the best fighter thus far in his career he"s faced. It"LL also be interesting where Tyson has muscled Up a far bit how it might effect his power and speed. Tyson on points in a very competive fight can"t wait.
Really good fight if it comes off not getting my hopes up after the boystov disappointment though.still think its a better fight for tyson than what it is for Steve.if tyson uses his size advantage he should win fairly easy but Steve is an ex world champ and if he beat tyson he would find himself in a brilliant position to challenge a klitsckho,I guess if he seen the pajkic fight he's in with a chance.lets hope it gets signed up soon.
Well done Sam,I was amazed how many people who had written you off, they probably hadn't took the time to see who you had beaten in your last couple of fights.when your career is over they should certainly make a movie of you and your career you are the real rocky balboa.i just hope that Danny geale and his management give you what you deserve and what you've earned.if you was a puncher you would be unstoppable.all the best for the future you've done Australia and yourself proud.
....... yeaaaa..... did you watch the fight?
Seen a couple of rounds including the knockdown, guessing it was a typical hard to watch soliman display(hit and hold but effective) by the punch stats soliman really out worked sturm.its kinda funny winning a points desion in Germany for many years seemed impossible now that's two points loses in a row on home soil for sturm guess he didn't know them judges.going on form soliman has the style to cause geale problems and shouldn't have to worry to much about getting knocked out by geale his power seems really ordinary lately.
i'am a little disapointed i thought mundine was trying to get a fight with maywheather or cotto? laugh laugh.i really hope danny geale makes an absolute fortune from this fight and sends mundine into retirement which i think will happpen.danny geale is twice the fighter he was when then first met and mundine is on the slide(knocked out cold by novice garth woods).i really lost a lot of respect for mundine a while back when he could have mixed it up with the very best in the world but chose to dodge everybody any good.the sad part is he would have beaten some of the big names probly four or five years ago at his peak but chose to fight second rate fighters in australia i guess he's made a lot of money but could have done more with his career and (limitless talent) really wasted talent to be honest.when geale beats mundine it would be good to see him fight ibf 1 sam soiman.a fighter who has dodged nobody and has earned probly his final shot at the title.any way all good for aussie boxing.
Great match up should be an interesting fight.steve seems like a great guy but I still think he's gonna get beaten up.in all fairness this is a lot better fight for tyson than it is for steve, steve is an ex two time world champ quite well known and his best years where spent as a cruiser.from 2010 to now steve looks like he's on a bit of a slide as his record will suggest and to be fair fighting a guy who is a 6'9 althetic and quite fast for his size is almost career ending.my pick I think steve will run and try and fight in spurts to try and through tyson off, problem you can't run forever and at some point in the fight steve will be made to fight that's where I think steve is gonna get exposed.tyson by stoppage.wonder if tyson and his team have caught up with the infamous Hilton boys of Canada I here they are gypsys as well.
Geale dominated mundine no questions asked, mundine is lucky geale is not a puncher because if he was geale would have stopped him.as for Williams he should concentrate on frans Botha guess that fight wouldn't be rigged!!!
If geale wins and fights soliman next this fight would be huge in Australia without a doubt complete sellout and the way SAMs fighting at the moment if it's sturm or geale next I think he's a good chance of beating either and becoming world champ, Good luck Sam you"ve Earned and deserve it
I now feel confident saying that Price's chin is poor. To suggest that it isn't is to ignore the evidence imo:
Dropped three times by Varghese Johnson in the Commonwealth Games, dropped by a Welsh fighter in the 4 Nations, dropped by Fury in the ABAs, knocked out by Bermane Stiverne in the Tammer Tournament, knocked out by Cammarelle in the Olympics, rocked in his pro debut by Ingleby, and heavily dropped and stopped by Thompson.
Vyacheslav Glazkov also claims to have dropped Price three times when they fought in 2006, but this isn't confirmed like the other examples.
When Price gets hit, he gets hurt.
Well said I had heard the same story's about David price for quite a while and yes they must have been true.the problem that price is going to have from now on and that is if he continues to box is that most guys in he's weight class that can punch a bit will charge him.seeing what I just seen on you tube confirms price has got a really bad glass jaw and yes this is boxing not a good mix.
Great win for geale.how average was kimbo thought that guy was supposed to be good.wonder if butterbean is still fighting would be an easy collect if he is.entertaining though.
i think a lot of people are getting a little bit too excited of tyson fighting a klitschko in 2013 when in fact the biggest test of his career to date is kevin johnson who he is yet to fight .i've read a lot of people giving johnson a bad rap but one thing for sure is this guy can fight!! losing to a klitschko brother on points is't that bad then there's the tor hammer lose but to be honest kevin johnson was't suited to the three round format.as seen in a lot of kingpins fights he takes three or four rounds to get into a fight.to be honest i like tyson but he has't fought anyone as good as kevin johnson and tyson will have to take his game to another level to beat this guy because if he does't it might be johnson who gets another crack at the title.no joke upsets happen all the time.people kind of forget it was johnson's name who was popping up as maybe getting another shot at the title after he beat up tough aussie alex leapai but then stupidly fought in prizefighter and lost in the final.one step at a time tyson.
Me personally i think Kessler gets a even bigger beating in the rematch. Ward already dominated and sliced Kessler's eyes to bits so i don't know why he would be scared.
well said i completly agree, since they fought in 2009 andre ward has gone from strength to strength and is a lot better fighter, for me personally he is p4p best. kessler was okay a few years back but that was back then.i remember when he dodged aussie danny green because of some make believe injury then some time later fought anthony mundine and almost lost!.kessler at best was very overrated for he's sake i hope he does'nt fight andre ward again because it won't get any better and would lose very badly.
i agree david price but don't forget skelton is 45 years old and probably spent his best years in the fight game as a kickboxer many many years ago.but that aside someone has to retire these kind of guys and free up the rankings a bit i would say out with the old in with the new.there's been talk of a fight with tony thompson but if that fall's through there's a guy called lucas browne, who is a former mma star has only been boxing for a couple of years but would make for a interesting fight my opinion anyway.look him up.
This story is really funny because I had thought in my own mind that maybe the bout between Mosley and choc mundine might have been a bit of the same.Think about it choc mundine is a multi millionaire but his team can't pay sugar Shane 1million,I thought shanes wages for this fight was actually decent value for mundines team.Credit to Shane and his team If something strange was offered to him and he knocked it back.Check out Paul Briggs v Danny green 2010 bout and sonny bill Williams v frans Botha 2013.This sort of **** is ruining the sport down here and no the wonder the UFC is kicking ass at the moment and as for jeff fenech keep crying about the $460,000 he's lost on the fight he should remember azumah Nelson whom he drug out of retirement in his late 40 s And would only pay him half his purse? Sounds like karma.Shane Mosley is right when he said that down here is like the mafia days lol.
I'm getting a bad feeling of a Jones-Holyfield fight.
Me too, just imagine how much money these two have blowed,it probably would have paid off the world financial crisis or pretty close.
lol.... what?
This guy..... who almost got killed by the White Buffalo that they had to cut the fight short is getting offered a million dollars?
Crazy ain't it but if the fight does happen which I doubt sbw will get smashed purely because it won't be fixed lol.
It'll be earlier than that. As soon as Fury lands a right hand, it's over.
I agree,I see steve knocked down multiple times and then knocked out.my pick steve will be out by the fifth.
Still hard to believe manny is gone,I never had the privilege of meeting manny but I have only heard that he was a gentleman who had time for everybody.Personally the last of the great trainers.God bless manny you will never be forgotten.R.I.p
Sounds like a great fight for Aussie boxing if it comes off, would imagine a guy of jermaine Taylor's quality would put a beat down on Sherrington though.
Good solid win for andy, never easy coming back from the kind of loss that he suffered against Chavez jr,not he's best fight but a win all the same.darren barker would be a good fight also some one like jermaine Taylor or even Anthony mundine would probably match up quite well against him and would bring decent $$$ and maybe ppv.all the best anyway andy.
