TYSON FURY could swap the boxing ring for the Octagon in a sensational one-off clash with the UFC world heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez.
Unbeaten Fury is on course for a world title tilt following his victory over Steve Cunningham in New York.
He is still chasing that dream, but has been challenged by UFC president Dana White to fight Velasquez.
It follows several bitter exchanges between the two fighters.
White said: “Come on over and we’ll make a deal. You want to fight Cain? You will get smashed.”

I actually think it makes the UFC look bad. Signing fat and shot James Toney and possibly a tool like Fury to fight top guys in their sport. Shameful. Imagine if Klitchko fought some shot UFC fighter making his boxing debut.
Very well said.
i am more shocked that tyson fury makes headlines. thats a huge lol
Agreed. Fury's mouth is the only thin special about him. He hasn't even proven to be a good boxer yet, he'll get smoked in a sport unfamiliar to him. Anyone who doesn't think so I have a trillion points against 250 billion if you want to wager should this actually come about. It won't though, Tyson is all hot air.
This would be crazy, I can imagine fury being strong at grappling but if he gets caught by an overhand right early again this time he won't have a ten count.
this is the same guy that gave his british and commonwealth titles up to avoid a fight with price. the same guy who calls out haye then says he is going down a different route!!! the guy is a serious joke and i cant wait to see him get chinned.

I wan't to see this fight and the UFC gives the fans the fights that they want to see.I hope this fight happens!!!
On the other hand Furry would have to sign an exclusive contract in case he wins he can't leave the UFC with the title so it's very unlikely he will sign such a contract.

Tyson beats an old cruiserweight and now he thinks he is super man? What next is he going to try to qualify for the Daytona 500? But I do have an idea on what he should try next. Fury should actually try to accomplish something of substance in boxing before he goes off half c0cked in another sport.
Furry is just talking non sense. He would get killed in the ufc unless he has some type grappling background we don't know about.
Fury used to wrestle caravans, a little man like Velasquez won't pose a problem.
Why would Fury do this? If he gets embarrassed, itd probably hurt his boxing reputation as well. He must really think he can win.
The James Toney debacle was a huge joke, Toney doesnt even train hard for boxing he clearly showed up for that UFC fight for the paycheck. If Fury actually trains and learns some take down defense i say he has a shot.
I wonder if there is something we dont know about this...
I watched a documentary on Gypsy fighting not too long ago and i remember when they were showing clips of kids doing training they were training boxing but also ground and pound techniques n stuff. I wonder if its not out of the realms of possibility, bearing in mind Fury is a Gypsy, that he has had some experience training ground work techniques? Maybe not enough to beat an MMA world champ on the floor but enough to survive until he can stand up maybe.
Otherwise i just cant see the point of this whole thing.
edit: the doc, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeMk13vEZSI, quite long but worth a watch if you have time
Where IS Earl? Lol
Throw Fury in there vs Velasquez and watch him get KOed.

Two or three days after the fight he made this thread http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=594057
After the fight he was talking some ***** about Cunnigham's ass bleeding or something, when Price got KO he had multiple orgasms and laughed at him for being bum etc.
But after Fury's performance he cried about other users laughing at Fury. Truth hurts I guess
