I rate them like this..........Whitaker is better inside, he is better from mid range but Mayweather is better from long range. Whitaker is a better counter puncher though. It kind of undermines a division of contenders, a world title and to an extent the sport. Most of all, it's so ****ing weird to see a world title fight with a measly (1-0) record next to the contender. Unless of course it's Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, because he did that all the time.

I really don't understand the problem here, i thought Clottey would win going into the fight. Miguel clearly outboxed him, whilst dabbing at his cut all fight. His defence was pretty good, but i didnt understand his little half Philly shell thing he insists on doing as Clottey eventually caught him. Cotto would end every exhange in the first 6 with a solid left hook. Beating Clottey in the corner early and then just boxing the rest of the fight. Clottey got hurt, Cotto didnt. I really dont understand the problems. I dont want to argue but i really haven't heard a coherent explaination of why Miguel was "gifted".
