I think it's obvious that nobody knows what happened, but im sure if the commission thought that the wraps were really that serious then they would have used the opporunity to make an example of him. I don't think it's fair to say Margarito took "everything cotto had", Cotto had to back off because the punches were doing so much damage (allbeit with or without wraps). He showed the same with Clottey, because of the gruesome cut. I really want to see a rematch. Just to put all opinions to rest. I never knew there was such a contrast of opinions on the matter.

Zab Judah also fuked Cotto's face up pretty bad. He was all cut up and busted after the Judah fight. And i don't think Judah used illegal handwraps? do you? Shane Mosley soften that face up pretty well too. Actually, Margarito's was worse than Mosley's face after their fights with Cotto, because Maragrito got hit with everything and still didn't go down. I think Marg used plaster against Cotto. I find it hard to believe he just tried to use it against Mosley and got caught the first time. More likely Nasim was the first to catch Marg. But there's no way to prove it unless Marg pulls a resto and confesses. Could be 20 years later...

Dude , out of all the Cotto fights his face never looked like that. His shit was swollen BAD! and Cotto had been in plenty of wars before and never looked like that, and Margarito is not even a brutal puncher. One other thing, why would they use wraps against mosley and not the biggest fight of his carreer? and why were the wraps that he tried to use vs mosley already used and blood stained?

Cotto fights better when fighting quick fighters like mosley, judah, malinaggi and other fighter with speed. They tend to dominate in beginning and then Cotto just breaks down their speed with all the punches to the body.
