I wish Floyd fans didn't naturally gravitate towards Broner. Floyd's talent and upside at Broner's age was way higher; and was substantially more athletic and quick, AND dedicated.
Broner is not Floyd.
Business first. That is why we are all here. To tune in and watch fighters and their accountant's count beans.
Boxing is partly business; but it is also a sport, it is about finding out who is best.
Previous generations got this: hence Ali fight everyone; so did Duran and SRL. Even when it didn't make "business sense."
Now Pac and Floyd, the best of their gen, don't fight because it doesn't make "business sense."
But in the long term, boxing IS NOT a business and requires fans to watch it and sustain it. The best "business" in the long-term is the best fighting the best.
But what would we know? Fans of specific boxers apparently get money directly into their accounts when their fighter makes $.
ps I am using your good post to respond; not to disagree as you can see
Curtis Stevens wouldn't last a round against Stevenson. Stevens probably shouldn't be calling out a bigger puncher than himself. He already tried that against Golovkin and you saw how that turned out.
that's not the point of this threat. who cares?
When you lost respect from your fellow colleagues, something has gone wrong.
i'm so glad everybody is calling this guy rees, and calling quillin broner.
war rees. stretch this bum and save us from seeing him again.
i pay f#cking $20 a month for showtime. they should be embarrassed.
Showtime is testing my patience.
PS Rees wife looks GOOD. Quit and go home to that
Porter would not be denied tonight, he looked like a man possessed.
Porter vs. Maidana would be amazing.
What's funny is that Khan Bronet Garcia etc will avoid him.
So Showtime will make Maidana. Less invested in him
he saves so much though now that he's with haymon.
You can tell he's raging. What's funny is that those 150 power punches....maybe a third landed clean. And that's way, way generous. Herrera slipped them very well.
