This is the future of boxing with Al Haymon controlling the sport. Paper champions like Quillin completely protected, never facing anyone that is dangerous.
I swear. The thread is on here somewhere. Quillin and I got into a debate on Instagram about how he fights pizza delivery guys, he called me a punk, said GGG is a bum etc.
And to top it all off he said he fights for money
lol Qullin has had so many meltdowns on social media. The guy must be scared to log on in the morning.
he said that? lol no wonder he has no fans. anyone who supports him or stevenson at this point is just dumb and should stop watching this sport

This.
/thread. Quillin was promising now he's just fighting laundromat workers. The man literally told me on Instagram "I just want to make money" to hell with Pete.

As much as people hate on Chavez Jr., the middleweight version of him tears through Quillin. Quillin has an inflated ranking only because of the WBO belt that was stripped from the one true champion of the division. For Quillin to pretend to be a champion is disgusting. Even though Quillin will probably win, I'll root wholeheartedly for Konecny to somehow pull off an upset. Don't think it will happen, but Quillin is holding that belt hostage. Watching Quillin fight, he looks like nothing more than a fringe top 10 quality guy. Good power, but nothing else. Can't fight on the inside, porous defense, terrible stamina, poor workrate, was rocked by a 154 lber, can't fight on the back foot at all.

to hell with Quillin
was digging him when he came on the scene dropping dudes like crazy
sucked to see him beat up Winky, but otherwise liked the guy
he's wasting his time milking his belt
he coulda pushed for bigger fights, especially with GGG
even going for Sturm, Barker, or Geale woulda been fine
screw this guy, he's a forgotten man now
This.

Konecny is decent enough, the real problem is Quillin only fights two times a year. With the opposition he's been facing, he should be fighting at least 3 times.
Co-sign. If he were getting in 4-5 bouts per year against these types of guys because he couldn't get top class fighters because of being SHO exclusive it would be ok.
That fighting two times a year stuff is for stars and he is not a star yet.

Business first. That is why we are all here. To tune in and watch fighters and their accountant's count beans.
Boxing is partly business; but it is also a sport, it is about finding out who is best.
Previous generations got this: hence Ali fight everyone; so did Duran and SRL. Even when it didn't make "business sense."
Now Pac and Floyd, the best of their gen, don't fight because it doesn't make "business sense."
But in the long term, boxing IS NOT a business and requires fans to watch it and sustain it. The best "business" in the long-term is the best fighting the best.
But what would we know? Fans of specific boxers apparently get money directly into their accounts when their fighter makes $.
ps I am using your good post to respond; not to disagree as you can see
Belt or no belt he's still a prospect. You hypocrites don't have a problem with GG facing non HBO worthy tomato cans. And he's 30 with twice the amateur experience. Quillins still a prospect getting built up.
GGG fights guys who have the balls to get in the ring with a beast. Simple as that, and only a few step up to the plate.
What's your top ten?
Top 10 MW
1 Sergio. Champ until beat. My favorite fighter
2 GGG. Lineal Champ in waiting
3 Sturm. The Euro bum hunter
4 Quillin
5 Martin Murray
6 Gaele. Good MW
7 Rubio. Solid MW
8 Saunders. Solid Untested but can scrap
9 Stevens. At least he has balls to fight anyone
10 Mac the Knife. He got blasted by GGG and almost landed in my seat at Foxwoods
GGG is the biggest rising star on HBO. He should be able to throw big money at every opponent. Enough money that the top guys in the division can't duck him. Quillin is an undercard fighter pulling in more than GGG. That's a goddamn shame.

How is a 30yr old with a ten year pro career a prospect? You're a racist tard, son. Your motives are transparent as fuk!:lol1:
Pretty funny considering he is getting 3 million for the Chavez PPV. Which will do over 600k buys.
Sergio-HBO contract
GGG- ditto
Chavez- ditto
Sturm is locked up with Euro-bum hunting fights
Maclin is fringe top. 12 MW
Rosado is a good joyrneyman/ world class opponent. Not top 12 MW and he is a 154 lber
The Charlo twins are awful.
