you are an idiot kid !
1) The Ring is a magazine, NOT a sanctioning body..... they do not mandate, so they cannot sanction..... seriously, how fkn dumb are you?..... The Ring "belt" is just an award, NOT a title.
2) lineage is just the-man-who-beat-the-man..... it is often irrelevant, and the lineal "champ" is often not the best fighter in his division..... a'la Stevenson and Alvarez..... and I also gave you PLENTY of other examples
And what sort of clown would guess at how many lineal titles Pep won?
You don't even know what lineage is you asshat.
you are an idiot kid !
Back when Pep was fighting there was no such thing as a lineal champ, nobody had ever heard the word mentioned..... we did not need a lineal champ, because we had a real champ..... and yet, you taught me all about it, right? :lol1:
FFS clown, you cannot strip lineage..... the lineal "champ" is the man-who-beat-the-man..... but who cares, because Canelo is the champ of nothing..... he is not even a genuine middleweight.
The Ring can strip Canelo of their middleweight award, but that would simply magnify their incompetence, along with your stupidity..... because the only reason why they ranked him at middleweight - let alone #1 - is because he beat lil 153lb Cotto.....
..... let the record show, The Ring ranked Canelo the #1 middleweight despite the fact that he has never fought above 155, despite the fact that he has never fought a middleweight opponent, and despite the fact that he said this..... "I have no interest in middleweight" :lol1:
They were dumb, but not surprised to hear that you happily hopped onto the dumb-train with them.
Come on, hype man. The Ring title exists & it tells you lineage of champions. It doesn't matter what The Ring is...what matters is that their title is considered the lineal title. In boxing circles, what are they going to tell you about lineal titles? They'll tell you they matter because the lineal title tells us who's the guy to beat in order to establish a boxer's status in a division. That's the top guy. Whoever has the lineal title is considered the champion of the division. Back when Pep was fighting there was only 2 boxing organizations...today there's 4 plus the lineal title (5 if you consider the IBO one). People might not like this, but that's modern day boxing. The lineal title means something because it denotes among 4 possible champions who the top guy is. Even if Stevenson is considered the #2 guy at LHW, he still holds the lineal title. As long as he has that, he can continue to claim that he's the LHW champion. Stevenson is a LHW champion until he loses those titles. That's the hard truth.
You're trying to argue from opinion ("Hi, my name is aboutfkntime & I say the lineal doesn't matter because it's my opinion that this guy holding the lineal title isn't even the top guy in his division. Lineal titles are irrelevant because only I can determine the best boxer in a division despite there usually being 4 champions per...forget facts & listen to me"). The lineal title is a fact. If you argue against it, you're no boxing fan. Go back to work, hype man.
