He is elite not the best. Slightly overrated right now. I would pick Santos, Williams, and Dzinziruk over him right now.
think he could have a chance of beating santos, but not williams!
I'm not sure if he can go much further unless he changes his style/attitude. Afolabi has seemed to learn all the tricks in the gym but also carries the sparring partner mentality into the professional ring, often opting to give rounds away by doing very little.
His fights against Fields and Maccarinelli were close calls with Afolabi behind on points, taking advantage of his opponents tiring in the late rounds.
but still were both good wins, were he showed heart and good cardio! i agree do he can get lazy at times, but this may be part of his gameplan.
due to him having not much amature exprinece, sparring with elite fighters has really brought him on do!
Would be funny if he loses his next fight, but I'm sure he is fighting soft-competition in his next fight after his big win over Mac. Would be dumb of them to rush him after getting a big win, so its very acceptable for him to fight a low-risk fight now.
wonder who he will fight next, danny williams trainer from the uk, said he's the most talented fighter i've ever worked with!
Wake me up when something happens. This will be the worst fight of 2009.
lol!!! seen yuri train a few times in gleasons, good fighter, really happy he has this fight!

I see improvements.
there the videos i watched, and it looked turd! just have to wait and see!
you can double up on the straight way to quickly..but the hooks are slow as hell. the last thing we want is another slow ass game because of noobs like you complaining.
but skidmark, when the game is going 100 miles a hour, that aint real boxing!
I couldn't see if going the full 12 rounds.
I could see Macklin stopping him late on. All of Mundine's wins for the past 2 years have been decisions and recently got an SD against Geale. He's 34 now and has only fought out of Australia once and that was in Germany against Ottke.
i think barker would have the better chance at beating mundine. i feel mundine would just be to fast for macklin and macklin is pretty easy to hit aswell!
I hate the lakers, I can tell you that!!!!!!!!!
lol! well i can tell u i love the lakers!!!!
but really lets get back to the thread, wanna hear some views
