It's refreshing to see Guerrero finally get his respect on here, but unfortunate that it only came as a result of him beating up on vastly inferior fighter whose only advantage was the fact that he had hype like Andre Berto.
Guerrero's been the truth for quite a few years now. Most of you were just too distracted by hype jobs to notice.
I know were your coming from nobody ever really talked about Guerrero he's been one of my favorite fighters years now along with Angulo and Cotto but like you said its still nice people are talking about him even though its only over the Berto fight.
I'd be undefeated too if I was controlled by the mob, fought old ass champions, and bums who took dives cuz they were recovering from the Depression.
First time iv heard this
He was a beast, some people will never give him credit but that's too bad for them.
Tell me about it he was a wrecking machine he just kept moving forward he had some heart
Love these high quality tributes, poor video masks how great these fighters really were.
give this Joe Louis one a watch as well
There's no school like The Old School.
It's an extremely sad day for the sport of boxing....hbo broadcasts will never be the same.
My favourite commentator is gone what a true gentleman Steward was.
This match is a treat, on paper anyway. Two elite white American fighters going at it. One is slick and the other can bang. We rarely see two elite white American Lineal(or former) champs fighting each other at this high of a level. Infact I can't remember the last time a fight like this took place.
I do favor Ward...but I'm rooting for Pavlik
Gotta love The Underdog, should be a great fight either way.
watched this and your Guerrero vids recently, both were epic. Keep it up!
(assuming you made the vids? i assumed it was because you posted them both)
Yep I make them lol thanks for the support :)
Basilio is so unappreciated it's ridiculous
Tell me about it the guy was tough as nails and as humble as they come, said no to the mob when they wanted in on him and all
Too bad he didn't have the chin or the height. But even if he did, he'd still have HIV.
Whatever happened to the whole thing about him testing negative?
Not sure but he's not looking to good now at the moment
Too bad he didn't have the chin or the height. But even if he did, he'd still have HIV.
Yeah suppose and its sad the guy is still in denial about having it and has unprotected sex with his girlfriend
freddie roach don't give a ****. why should you?

Exactly/
Awesome video, thanks for posting.
No problem thank you :)
For the first 40 seconds or so I was like WTF where's the music.....but nice video! I love Peterson's face when he got knockdown that was priceless!
The music starts straight away lol
Your still hurt by those actions even though Rios apologized, only pathetic one here is you and Freddie Roach who hid behind his parkinson's disease to trash fighters. I ain't mad at Freddie though as he's mellowed down.
Rios was just clowning around with Margo maybe Margo is a bad influence :alcoholic: but even still it wasnt nice but Roach accepted his apology and Rios does help a lot of kids especially sick kids so Rios is alright with me :)
I'd rather see Floyd-Martinez. I literally have no interest in a fight with them.... especially after Manny's last 2 fights.
All roads lead to floyd.
He's PPV King everybody wants Money :boxing:
How will Jr. handle a southpaw that moves? We'll see in a few weeks, if he can cut him off and throw punches that make Sergio stand up he will have a chance because he looks to be the stronger puncher. Neither of these men have fought high quality fighters on a consistent basis. South American fighters seem to have some curse when they come out of their homelands. Sergio did get beat up by Margerito a few years back and that may be nothing but it can be something since he doesn't engage much and hasn't fought anyone with big power since.
I think its a good match but I don't see Sergio with a veterans edge because he hasn't fought on a high level. Neither has Jr. but he's just starting when you consider his first bouts took the place of a J.O career and Amatuer Open class years. ..................should be a good one, evenly matched!! Ray has fought on a high level he destroyed Pavlik and he fought the most avoided boxer twice in Paul Williams
who beat Margarito.
lets be serious.. Chavez is too green still.. We're talking about martinez here.. hes P4P.. faster, better boxer and can mix it up.. if he boxes, hes good.. if he gets suckered into a brawl, hes in trouble
Yeah sure look at the Macklin fight Macklin dropped Martinez even if he was off balance but Chavez Jr is more a brawler then Macklin so he could lure Martinez into a brawl and catch him off balance a few times or even just hurt him.
I've put money on Chavez Jr based on my unreasonable disposition towards Martinez.
But I've also tried to predict the style match-up. Sergio can't duck-dance in front of Julio. If the ring does turn out to be smaller; Sergio will find it hard to execute an effective counter-punching strategy. Sergio can't brawl with Julio. I don't see Sergio's signature hooks being able to hurt Jr. with his awkward stance that seems to work against southpaws. I think Julio has the right punches to catch Sergio; he has decent uppercuts in both hands (Margarito's left uppercut, anyone?), good body hooks and a straight right that can penetrate his guard. I predict Jr. will push him to the ropes and TKO Martinez, but we'll have to wait and see how tough Chavez's chin really is, because he'll walk into a lot of sharp jabs on the way.
The speed Chavez Jr whips them left hooks is unreal for the amount of power he puts in them.
