There is no wrong answer here fight fans..Who is it to you??Who is the fighter that you watch and said,I'm watching the greatest fighter I've ever seen??
Jose Napoles or Eder Jofre are the best boxers I've ever seen, if that's what ts is asking, if it's on who the goat is in terms of resume / achievements then it's between Robinson, Langford or Harry Greb.
Greatest fighter I've ever watched, damn that's a tough one. Probably a prime Marvin Hagler, pretty much had it all. Just in the sense that he was the complete package.
CHARLIE ZELENOFF!
Bad joke, I know...
Seriously, Ali in his prime, without a doubt for me.

That fight againt Williams... That was it for me.
Art in motion.
-Past fighter: Ray Robinson.
-Past fighter that was active: Ray Leonard
-Fighters that I watched progress: Roy Jones Jr and Floyd Mayweather.
I only go back as far as the late 80's...
Roy had the most talent I think at his best. What could you do with the guy?? You stand off him you get picked off, you go after him and he had the power to knock you out with one shot.
But I go with the majority in terms of legacy and accomplishments. The two Ray's.
Floyd could be up there, but there is two things which go against him imo, he has a lack of great fighters on his resume, (Roy is similar in that way), and his lack of power against ATG's would have cost him. He gets away with it against very good fighters, but against a prime Leonard over 15 rounds I can see him coming unstuck, but Floyd in terms of talent is right up there with anyone there has been.
greatest fighter ive ever seen. probably pernell or leonard. floyd is up there with roy tho. and theres plenty of tape on ali and he was outstanding even past his prime. its really a hard choice all options considered. all of these guys could do amazing things in the ring.
When I want to know about how a building is made I talk to the architect not to the scrub who hammers the damn nails.

Who would you talk to for boxing, or what would you do?
my man djtmal made a interesting point about Roy...had me doing the hmmmm ....very vald points my man!!...but the thread came across like, "who I saw and felt ATM, I was watching the GOAT"...still till this day, noone has put on a performance in the ring that made me think he was the BEST I've EVER seen...Roy caught my eye as a yungin and lets just say, the bar was raised early
I'm glad my man ran that post off...because for a while I've been calling Roy my GOAT...but I see its not accurate because his whole career has to be taken into consideration...I get it now....he's still the BEST I've ever seen as far as ring performance....now as far as the GREATEST?!?...thats Bernard all day...no question....Roy is STILL active...and imo there's no GREATER active fighter in the game today than B.Hop....I guess Ex is the GOAT, but dudes already knew I thought like this...it was just kinda weird to put B.Hop over Roy knowing prime for prime Roy gets the "W" all day....strange ranking system if you ask me...but it is what it is
god post btw djtmal :fing02:
Antonio Margarito. The way he threw the upper cuts were magnificent. The Greatest chin and heart in the history of boxing. Power was unmatched. Personality wise he was a saint that was wrongfully subjected by the public due to racism and fear. The rest of the population had no confidence in themselves so they booed him vigorously and slandered him to no end. He also has a case for being undefeated.
His loses to Williams and Santos are all illegitimate. His loses to steroid cheats Pacquiao and Mosley shouldn't be counted. His 2nd fight with Cotto was a disgrace to boxing. Cotto should of been DQed for holding and headbutting. That fight shouldn't even of happened, but the warrior Margodito loves his fans so much he wanted it to go on for the fans! For the people! He loves the people!
How can you not call this guy GOAT?
I'm willing to bet majority of people that say SRR have only seen one or two fights of him.
and you'd lose that bet. alot of posters on nsb favor current fighters.

I am too young to have seen Robinson fight but in today's game it is Mayweather. He can fight in a negitive way but you just don't see him being beaten.
