Rayo can’t beat Shakur, but there are some guys who can. Tank of course. Haneys jab and boxing ability is just as good as Shakur but Haney has more dog. I believe De Los Santos with a different trainer can beat Shakur. Gary Antuanne Russell. A sleeper is Tito Mercado but not really a marketable fight for Shakur to take. Don’t think Lamont can beat Shakur but he can make it competitive.

Oh he got caught a few times. That eye damage is likely a result of the haymaker he hit Benavidez with after the bell. But yeah watch it again. Benavidez blocked a ton of shots on his high guard and then he was hitting Morrell flush around and through his guard. And like Eco said, Morrell would whip Canelo at this point. Canelo isn't fighting anymore threats. He is on his retirement tour. I just watched it earlier on slo mo. The same case can be made for both. Morrell was blocking alot of shots too but Benavidez throws so fast and hard it looks like they land. I dont think Morrell could WHIP Canelo, but I could see him winning just due to the size and youth. Plus Canelo doesn't have the offensive activity like Benavidez. It's a very bad style matchup.

That damage is mostly from his gloves hitting his own face, Morrell was mainly hitting guard all night. What Canelo saw was a prime Benavidez whip a taller man with longer reach and real KO power. Canelo will never fight a serious threat again. If he was going to he would have done it before lining up his farewell tour of Ryder, Charlo, Mungia and Berlanga. Fourth round where Morrell caught him with a hook after getting caught himself and after the bell in round 11th, But was throughly outskilled and overworked 8-4 or 9-3. He was taunting because he wanted to show he was still in the fight, he himself was rocked in numerous occasions in the middle rounds and demonstrated his grit after he recovered when shelled up. Morrell was frustrated and it was visible, he wasn't able to find openings on Benavidez's high guard while Benavidez either punched through the gaps and peeled off his guard. 2. The "knockdown" is not even technically a knockdown, it was slip as the feet were entangled and the punch didn't land in a scoring area of the body. Its the vs a legend part. Let's call it what it is a money grab vs a shot fighter Manny is shot. Yes it's a money grab. But Pacquiao on paper, at 147, even at 46, Pac would be Tanks toughest challenge to date. That's also true for any current top lightweight, super lightweight, or welterweight that hasnt faced Jaron Ennis.

This should be no surprise. Look at who schooled him. Why would Tank not entertain a Pacquaio fight? He can become a champ in a 4th division vs a legend. And He will get a bigger payday than he would vs anybody at 135 or 140.

I agree (except about the size part). I understand why though, people were caught up in the excitement of the moment, and Crawford winning the fight IS a huge moment in and of itself regardless of how close or wide it was. But yeah, people went overboard talking about domination. I didn't score it exactly but I know I had it way closer than the official scorer for the broadcast, Skipper Kelp, who gave Crawford something like the first five or six rounds, which is obscene IMO. I saw the early rounds more as Crawford easing himself in and finding his footing in the fight, while for the most part the only punches thrown with much intent behind them were from Canelo. I also felt like towards the end of the fight Max Kellerman was doing his best to gaslight us into believing it had been a pretty one-sided win for Crawford and that anything less on the scorecards would have been a travesty. I don't know, honestly the 115-113 cards sounded right to me. The fact that Crawford finished the fight on top with some of his best moments of the fight didn't hurt his cause either, because it's the final lasting impression. You don't agree Crawford was a little bigger? Look at them in the ring. Bud's body looks thicker than Canelo's. I was thinking exactly the same thing but couldn't be bothered to write it out. Across the divisions there are better, legit TBRB top ten fighters missing out on paydays. Keith Thurman, for example, is getting a shot at TBRB #1 Fundora when he's fought once in the division and twice overall in the six years since he lost to Pacquiao. And that's the hottest division in the sport. For them to get those paydays, they need to put in the work and make proper business decisions. Just because they're in the top 10 doesn't mean they deserve a big payday.

I didn't think it was a domination either but it was a clear (not close and not wide) victory for Crawford. Canelo, while not shot to pieces, is really starting to teeter on the brink, and Crawford is a once a year fighter, if that. Frankly, both are old and past their sell-by date and I wish they'd both just go away so we can focus on the younger, fresher, upcoming lot. Well, let's be fair. I think this is a wise move, because I suspect? That Canelo Alvarez is now dead at the weight of 168 pounds. If Canelo Alvarez is to fight on in his career, I would like to see him fight up at 175 pounds again 'and potentially fight David Benavidez or one of the Champions there'. I still think that stylistically Benavidez is a fight straight up Alvarez's street, at 175 pounds? Benavidez does not appear to be as effective like he was at 168 pounds with his power. Which was one of his main attributes, along with his punch combinations and aggression. I think David Benavidez is there for the taking at 175 pounds, it is almost inevitable.
