Bam is a tremendous talent in his prime with a strong resume, what’s wrong with that?
Have you even seen Oscar Collazo fight?
I've seen Collazo plenty. And I follow the lighter weight divisions for personal reasons.
Collazo does not belong in the Top 10 P4P.
Bam is a really Good fighter.
His wins against Cafu and Puma were Good wins.
But aside from that you got a bunch of past their prime guys.
Bam belongs in the top 10.
But definately not #2 IMO.
Question for you.
Have you seen WBO Flyweight Champion Anthony " Princessa " Olascuaga ?
And if so.
Do you really think Collazo is a better fighter ?
Im starting to agree with some posters that say the P4P list is mostly a popularity contest.
I dont think he hates boxing, he just has some really weird ideas and the money to make them reality when they probably shouldnt be.
I agree.
As fans we've gotten what shoyld've been i.teresting matches.
But I can't definately say he's good for Boxing.
IMO Inoue deserves to be #1 given he beat Nakatani who was a top 5-8 p4p boxer and Usyk was boxing a non boxer.
That said, a tougher than expected win in a cash grab where he wasn’t as serious as he should be doesn’t erase Usyk’s body of work.
I will still have him as #2 on my list.
I respect this.
But all of these posters replacing him with Bam are funny.
I even saw one poster put Oscar Collazo on his p4p list.
Trying way too hard.
Yeah I watched her on Tom Loeffler’s cards before.
She’s solid, but yeah women’s boxing doesn’t really interest me.
The talent pool for Womens boxing is extremely limited.
Hard to make competitive fights that way.
Pretty much same. I’m interested in seeing Tally & think Giyasov-Catterall could be good, but could also be a snooze fest .
Don’t see how there’s people that think it’s a great undercard
Maybe it plays out to be , but it’s not on paper
Im also a bit interested in Mizuki Hirutas fight.
Usually female boxing's not my cup of tea.
But I know her and she's a really focused , dedicated , hard working fighter.
Great fight.
Although Duboise has the personality of a cardboard box.
The man puts up fun fights.
Can't wait for his next one.
Respect to Wardley for showing resilience in there.
Never once did he look like he wanted out.
Olascuaga is a hidden gem in the sport.
An exciting aggressive fighter with explosive power in both hands.
He beats Sandoval and Yabuki.
But Yabuki's no joke either.
Hey guys you don't have to disparage your own to uplift another culture. I didn't see the fight but I guarantee that I would have enjoyed a typical Saturday night HbO boxing or ITS SHOWTIMEEEEEE!! None of you outside of Japan couldn't tell you the name of another Japanese fighter so please stop it everyone!
Nobody's disparaging the U.S.
Just giving Japan its Respect.
To your other point.
Majority of people in the U.S couldn't name a current boxer not named Canelo , Pacquiao or Mayweather.
The only possible “negative” is the Japanese crowd.
makes for a poor TV viewing experience because the crowd is mostly subdued.
Compare those to an equivalent fight in England or America the crowd is more excited and demonstrative.
The fight itself was tremendous.
Only other small quibble would be the buildup. Nothing wrong with class but I prefer a little animosity and pre fight shenanigans.
The crowd was actually really into the fight.
Even when they missed the crowd reacted.
Japanese fans are True boxing fans.
They appreciate the sport so much. They sit quiet at the edge of their seats in anticiption of the next engagement.
If you havent been. You gotta go.
Boxing fans will gain tons of respect for the Japanese fans when they witness it themselves.
huh? they literally agreed to the fight yet you are still saying he never wanted it. that makes no sense. i know you have some story in your head that you think is true but its just a story you or someone else made up. its not actually real or true. reality is they agreed to fight nakatani and it was nakatani that said no and somehow you completely flip that saying he never wanted to fight him? everyone else involved says otherwise including the saudi prince but i guess you have the real story?
Pressed with a ‘take-it-or-leave-it scenario,’ Rodriguez, 22-0 (15 KOs), and his side immediately agreed to the fight. In fact, they also agreed to the first offered option –the reigning lineal, WBC and IBF bantamweight king Junto Nakatani, 31-0 (24 KOs). Nakatani elected to not take the fight. So, offered us Puma Martinez and Bam immediately said yes.”

not sure what you mean by "it was proposed" were there any formal offers made to rodriguez for the fight? not that i know of. you mean some people in the media talked about it? some people on forums talked about it? sure. any offers? no. any offers like the one bam accepted and the one nakatani declined? no. was nakatani a top guy when bam left the division? no. hes ducking doe...cause they didnt fight? there are lots of reasons why but they were never even in the same division for more than a couple months and saying he left the divisino to avoid nakatani a guy from japan who he wasnt under any real pressure to fight is just silly. you made it up.
You know.
I kinda laugh when I see posters like you arguing an issue they swear they know everything about.
I wont disclose how I know what I know.
But I miss the days where there were actually boxing Insiders on here.
Some of us still lurk for amusement.
but as you just stated they arent advantages if you dont know or arent able to use them. also bam agreed to fight nakatani last year. nakatai said no and decided to move up to 122 in search of inoue so what you are saying is factually not true. they wanted nothing to do with him except they agreed to figth him...lol

Stop.
Bam , Robert Garcia and Mr. Honda of Teiken promotions never wanted the Junto fight.
It was proposed back when Junto was at 115 and Bam beat Carlos Cuadras at Superfly.
Bam and his team didn't like the figjt for whatever reason so they only fought one more at Superflt then moved bacl down.
So Junto ko's Maloney and went up to Bantamweight.
I don't doubt Bam wants to fight both Inoue and Junto Now.
But I think Alot of that has to do with there being nobody at 115 / 118 that he'll get the kinda payday he would for moving up
I thought he lost to Nakatani due to the size difference. I would rematch him and then retire if I was Inoue.
I agree with this.
If Nakatani wins he'd definately move up to Featherweight.
Before this fight was made his team mentioned they'd move up to fight Espinoza if they couldn't get Inoue.
