I can't believe you guys are taking this performance seriously
Usyk clearly didn't.
He admitted as much
"They say it was tense watching my fight with Rico{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/abs.twimg.com\/emoji\/v2\/svg\/1f604.svg"} Guys, I just didn’t want you to be bored, come on."

I've seen Collazo plenty. And I follow the lighter weight divisions for personal reasons.
Collazo does not belong in the Top 10 P4P.
Bam is a really Good fighter.
His wins against Cafu and Puma were Good wins.
But aside from that you got a bunch of past their prime guys.
Bam belongs in the top 10.
But definately not #2 IMO.
Question for you.
Have you seen WBO Flyweight Champion Anthony " Princessa " Olascuaga ?
And if so.
Do you really think Collazo is a better fighter ?
Im starting to agree with some posters that say the P4P list is mostly a popularity contest.
I’ve seen Olascuaga and he is good but has mostly fought in Japan. An argument can be made for Emmanuel Navarrete to be on the list as well, he is a bit unorthodox and perhaps not as traditionally “skillful” for my taste but certainly has the track record and just keeps winning. Fundora, now that he is fighting from long range while still being able to fight on the inside. I like Abdullah Mason a lot too, he just needs to fight more.

Im starting to agree with some posters that say the P4P list is mostly a popularity contest.h2h ability was a major component when p4p was first created for Sugar Robinson
he was crowned king in large part due to his devastating offense
Naruto Ninja Naoya as the current king makes sense
if the entire list was the same weight and fought, Naruto Ninja Naoya scores the most wins
the rankings for p4p slots 2 to 6 are arguable
Bam is a tremendous talent in his prime with a strong resume, what’s wrong with that?
Have you even seen Oscar Collazo fight?

Have you even seen Oscar Collazo fight?dwarf divisions are grossly underrated while heavies are criminally overrated
JESSE is more dwarf than Naruto Ninja Naoya
I thought he should have lost that spot just from taking that fight, but he definitely needs to be dropped from the top now.
Do you think he's regretting not taking the Wardley fight now? His ex-manager Krassyuk claimed it didn't make business sense, a position I didn't fully understand. Was the logic that it was such a smaller fight than Dubois 2 that he was compromising future bargaining power?
I respect this.
But all of these posters replacing him with Bam are funny.
I even saw one poster put Oscar Collazo on his p4p list.
Trying way too hard.

he sure took a lot of clean right hands from a giant for a rigged bout
OK, “rigged” isn’t the word because the fight itself isn’t fixed. It’s more like Usyk telling his team mid-fight: “Go put a bet on the 11th round KO… and let me know when the odds look juicy enough.” Then five rounds later: “Alright, boys, how much did we make? Cool… I’ll go for the kill now.”
Totally clean sport. Nothing suspicious at all. Just modern entrepreneurship with gloves on.
I can see it.
I think Bam is a little more dynamic than the Nonito that Inoue faced in the first fight.
Also think Inoue is a better fighter than that example as well.
No hate on Donaire, to my Pinoy homies.
Great fighter.
Yes I still need to think about what has the highest chance of beating Naruto Ninja Naoya
do you crowd him or box him
We've seen Naruto Ninja Naoya outbox boxers and out punch punchers
JESSE style would be best at emulating Nonito but is a double edged sword as it would put him into the line of fire of Naruto Ninja Naoya
make everyone on the p4p list into welterweights
maybe Silk Smooth Shakur and Top Soviet Bivol would have the best shots at beating Naruto Ninja Naoya
using their defense to outbox the hunter boxer-puncher Naruto Ninja Naoya
BIG PUDGIE UKRAINIE gets folded to the body with left hooks by Naruto Ninja Naoya
Slow Feet Foot Faults Fat Dave who struggles to cut rings off gets lit up
126 BBC Bruce would be a fascinating fight because he's a slick boxer with a size advantage
Among all the options BBC Bruce is the closest thing to master boxers Silk Smooth Shakur & Top Soviet Bivol
If someone asks me I am sure someone on Team Usyk put a bet either on the 11th or 12th. Looked rigged.he sure took a lot of clean right hands from a giant for a rigged bout
It was last night. He got battered and saved by the ref. He won’t fight Agit. It’ll be AJ, Fury or Dubois, maybe wilder?!
Don’t get me wrong, he’s a great fighter and with his achievements at cruiser and heavyweight definitely belongs on the p4p list and will be a first ballot HOF pick. I’d say he’s even an ATG for all of his achievements. One thing he definitely isn’t is the GOAT heavyweight, you can’t just beat the same 3 guys, ignore everyone else and make that claim. Guys like Lennox, Holyfield and Ali (to name a few) who practically fought and beat everyone deserve that distinction.
Agree with some of what you said, but not all.
I don’t think he got battered (but he struggled a lot). He vastly underperformed compared to his usual standard, and relative to what we thought Rico was (I still don’t rate him as anything special). The fact is Usyk slowed down a lot and was surprisingly unfocused. From the first round he didn’t look like he had any real intent, which is one of his main traits. He’s also still a small heavyweight in today’s era and will always struggle in a physical fight against giants, and this one was very physical. On top of that, he didn’t have his usual team in the corner (his regular trainer wasn’t there), so everything felt a bit off, and even Lapin lost easily. Usyk also looked in poor shape, which is shocking for him, noticeably softer and maybe 10 pounds heavier. The footwork was very poor. Basically everything that could go wrong did, yet he still found a way to get the job done, even if the ref botched it badly (both with the 25 seconds he gave Rico to find his mouthpiece and with the stoppage, which simply shouldn’t have happened there).
GOAT heavyweight is a tough one. I think he’d have a chance against any heavyweight in history, but GOAT is a stretch. I agree it’s hard to argue for him over Ali and Lennox. That said, I’d put him clearly ahead of Holyfield, especially factoring in that Holyfield was on PEDs for a big chunk of his career.
I really hope he doesn’t fight Fury or AJ; I’d genuinely hate to see that. Same with Dubois, but I couldn’t hold it against him if he did, since it’d be a chance to unify again and Dubois is arguably a top-three heavyweight right now.
Honestly, I’d like him to just retire at this point. Or if he wants to go out on a high, fight Agit (the best option) or vacate the belts and rematch Rico. I hope he does one of those. He will go down as ATG, either way.
He lost to Rico? When was that fight?
The best thing for Usyk would be to retire, as it’s obvious he isn’t fighting with the same motivation as before (understandably, since there’s absolutely nothing else he can achieve in the sport). However, that’s easy for me to say, as I’m not the one being offered tens of millions. I’d like him to fight Agit and call it a day, if he needs one more.

Usyk's never been #1. You can't just beat the same 3 guys in a division and be p4p #1. He just lost to a kickboxer. He'll fight AJ, Fury or Dubois one last time, his fans will be like GOAT  and Usyk will call it a day.

Inoue took it for me after his last fight. Hard to judge it for Usyk. I would have him back on the p2p (not no1) if he fights Agit. A rematch against Rico does very little for me.
IMO Inoue deserves to be #1 given he beat Nakatani who was a top 5-8 p4p boxer and Usyk was boxing a non boxer.
That said, a tougher than expected win in a cash grab where he wasn’t as serious as he should be doesn’t erase Usyk’s body of work.
I will still have him as #2 on my list.
