Bad look from Vergil - he says all the right things, but the actions don't follow.
I've been a big fan, but pulling out of the two Stanionis fights and derailing Stan's career was really off-putting. Stanionis should/could have been more than he was, but his form got lost during that time and never got the fight he was waiting for.
And so for Vergil to be doing all this after Ennis stepped to him - all of a sudden trying to go against Oscar and weasel out out of his contract, what the hell is that?
I mean, it was annoying enough for him to be mentioning Spence the day https://bitkingz-de.de/ after Ennis stepped to him. Everyone in boxing is talking Vergil-Boots, but he's talking Spence. Spence hadn't even announced he was still fighting when Vergil brought him up.
And this is all while fellow GBP fighter, Ryan Garcia, the one who was supposed to be a clown, is actually breaking out now and surpassing Vergil. Ryan has comeback from multiple setbacks already while Vergil is still failing to take off the first time.
Vergil was supposed to be the serious one.
You had to figure that at some point they couldn’t just keep spending and spending without getting a return on their investment.
They probably could blow stupid money for many, many years without much impact to their balances.
But they were trying to achieve something. This was a strategy to achieve that. It's not like it's a new tactic either - middle east investment in football clubs was typically a blaze of ridiculous expenditure to gain a foothold followed by a period of slightly more sensible spending.
In football they do still continue to spend a lot though. I'd imagine they may well still spend pretty big in boxing moving forward but it won't be the "at all costs" spending we saw while they were trying to establish themselves.
Saudi money won't run out. But they've said they are reducing investment in international events.
It will affect everyone. Those one sided Zuffa contracts don't look so good now do they?
Fighters will have to adapt to just getting great money again. Vegas will be thrilled.

- - Where Oscar pantyhose? He must have a large collection after he sell Ring to Turki...:luvbed:
Just because that bum is booty ennis best win doesn't mean it would be ortiz''s. Hes not a great or even really good fighter
It would have been a better win for Ortiz than it ended up being for Ennis - I'm not trying ot say it was a great win for Ennis, it was OK but we all know what happened to Stanionis. Vergil screwed that time period up and was effectively sidelined for 2 years, he's not worth what he thinks because he didn't get key wins at the time.
anyway Regge, Vergil needs to get his shit together and go check the china Ennis is hiding.
Nobody knows if Vergil is actually going to make the fight though. A contract can be signed with Vergil, as we saw this week, that doesn't mean much to him.
Does not take away the fact Bootsy turned the fight down
He pulled out of the same fight vs the same opponent twice for the same reason, that's gotta be a record.
Why **** on Stanionis, that would have been a good win for Ortiz.

Yeah stanoinis is such a great fighter for having beaten no one of note.
And booty ennis turned down the ortiz fight when turki offered it to them. Ortiz had that boy shaking his puss in boots

Sure, make any fight, but will Vergil show up? Or will he get the sniffles again?
For some reason, he never gets the sniffles against previously beaten or KOed opponents like Bhoachuk and Madrimov, just unbeatens like Stanionis and Ennis.

This all that needs to be said and comprehended

Man stfu :lol1: stanoinis was never that good. Hyped him up just to easily get knocked out by booty ennis. Karen put up a better fight
Fight coulda happened if puss in boots accepted the fight when it was first offered by Turki
