"held their final press conference to decide the regular WBA World Middleweight champion" Wtf... I thought this "title" was eliminated when Golovkin beat Jacobs. I thought the WBA was trying to eliminate their multiple titles in each division and that fight should have done just that. So why is it all of a sudden "vacant" now and being contested for? Any ideas?

Canelo-Golovkin was signed before Canelo even fought Chavez Jr. Everybody though Canelo would win but its still kinda disrespectful to write Chavez Jr. off completely like that. Ward had the 3 fight HBO deal with Kovalev as the third fight if he got past his first two opponents but I'm not sure if the Kovalev fight was completely negotiated and signed until after the Brand fight. Can anybody think of any more cases where a different fight was signed while one or both fighters had upcoming fights?

If we had a modern day Super 6 at light-heavyweight with: Kovalev Ward Stevenson Beterbiev Gvozdyk and some other fighter (Bivol, Barrera, etc. I'll let you choose.) Do you think it would be better than the Super 6 at 168 from years ago? Would you be interested or do you think some of the hype would be taken away because the divisions two best fighters (Kovalev and Ward, in many people's opinions) have already fought and are gearing up for a rematch? Or do you not care and just think it would make for some great fights anyways? I personally think it would shit all over the original Super 6.

Do you guys REALLY think the fight is gonna happen in September? Cuz everybody on here is talking like it is. You guys must now own a calendar. The REAL Cinco de Mayo hasn't fallen on a Saturday in five years. It won't just be the Cinco de Mayo weekend fight. It will be the actual Cinco de Mayo fight. Its like calling a fight the Fourth of July fight and having it take place on the 6th. It makes no sense a couple days after the actual holiday. I agree that having 4 belts per division (even more if you count the IBO, Ring Magazine, and Lineal title) is way too much but I was still never a big fan of having only one belt per division. I think there should be only two belts per division and the "lineal title" should always be connected to one of the belts. I'm always excited at the prospect of a unification fight and it does make the fight just that much bigger to me. Some fights are meh but having two champions come together in the ring is one of the things I look forward to most. What are your guys' thoughts on this? Do you want just one belt per division or what?

I remember reading online, sometime a couple months before the Fury fight that Wlad had signed a 6 or 8 fight deal with the German TV station that airs his fights. Now I don't know for sure if they run things the same as they do over here, but if say Kovalev had 3 fights left of a 5 fight contract with HBO (or even Showtime) and decided he isn't gonna fulfill his contract obligations, then he would be sued BIG TIME would he not? I'm pretty sure this Joshua fight will only e the second fight of the contract for Wlad too so he should legally have a few more fights left in him after this one. But who knows, I may be completely wrong and Wlad might not have to see that contract through.

I forgot which article on here it was, but it said something about N'Dam fighting for the vacant regular belt which was just "unified" by Golovkin and Jacobs. I thought the WBA were trying to get rid of all the extra belts in the division and I thought that was what the GGG vs Jacobs fight was supposed to do. Unify the "Super" with the "Regular" so that only one would exist from here on out. Anybody know anything else about this?
