I agree that Haye needs a couple of fights before he faces Klitschko and I suspect we'll find out whether he can beat him from those. The chin is the obvious worry, but I am more interested to see how his power is at heavyweight. If he can get a couple of KO's this fight with Klitschko could be very interesting.
Agreed, he definately needs a couple of good performances, maybe to be tested abit to see if hes as powerful at heavy. Pulling out a couple of stinkers with mediocre heavyweights would do him more harm than good tho if he wants to achieve anything like evander did, which he says he does.
All indications are that he will come back and fight for the title against Peter. I think Vitali can win the fight as well but the long layoff will most definitely not help him.
Long layoff being best part of 3 and a half years. Thats an exceedingly long time to go without being in the ring for a boxer. Im sure the Dr has remaineed in good shape tho so i cant see his durability being too much of a factor. Cant see him getting KO'd either. Doesnt the fact that hatton was fighting above his natural weight in both the collazo and mayweather fights and that cotto was fighing below his natural weight (a weight that he had to drain himself to make) count for anything? malignaggi got busted up big time by a by cotto who by that time was struggling to make light welter. Many people on this forum have stated that hatton could beat cotto at light welter so it stands to reason that hatton is gonna fuck malignaggi up good style when they fight!
