She hardly ripped him. She's right though, it's barely mentioned in the bible and there's a whole heap of things given far more attention that ignorant bigots choose to ignore (tattoos, random **** you can't eat or use etc).
ha ha much prefer this zab to the born again christian bull****, he's been boring as hell to listen to for ages. good to see him with some fire in him.
i've never liked garcia, i wanted khan to ruin him. i still much prefer him to his pops though, that guys ****ing retarded.
war judah!
how about winning with one arm (by ko)? i cant think of anyone doing it more impressively than danny williams? I know Hopkins did this once also, who was that against again? could call it getting 'dannyied'.
I cant ever remember point deductions for pushing in a fight, ever, never mind in a world championship fight. Those deductions won Peterson the belts! Its not a coincidence thay DC is Peterson, and Coopers, home town. A good fight though and big props to Peterson for a hell of a performance overall. I look forward to rematch (will be cheering on Khan again though)...
Fair enough, I cant remember that but will take your word for it, toegate has distorted my memory. To be honest can see it from both sides, the ref did warn him a hell of a lot, I just think that losing his belts due to 'pushing' is bull ****.
Loving the new BoxNation channel in the UK, getting the Felix Sturm vs Sebastian Zbik card on Friday and then the Rios and JMM fights on the Sat. All for a tenner a month, cant compain.
April is stacked, they've got DeGale next week (Fri), and Abner Mares vs Eric Morel (Sat). The following week its Cleverly followed by Hopkins v Dawson 2.
Then its May and Mayweather v Cotto etc etc...
1. Mayweather
2. Pacquiao
3. Martinez
4. Ward
5. Wlad
I'd like to put Nonito in there but I just can't put him above any of these guys just yet, I see him as a future p4p top 3 in years to come though...
Lost a bit of respect for him here. Always do when someone has issues with what any grown ass person does in their own time that doesnt affect them in anyway what so ever, and especially when they try to use any religous text to justify their prejudice. Bonkers.
Ortiz is done, he quit again. Anyone can see he wanted out of there, why try roughing up Floyd and then go OTT on the kissing and making up? He got desperate, bottled it and then submitted to the stronger man. Yes Cortez was useless, yes floyd is a punk, but Floyd was going to win that fight sooner or later. Ortiz got what he deserved and wanted, he was glad it was over hence that stupid goofy looking smile on his face....If someone had fouled Pacquiao like that and Pacman ko'd them like Floyd did I think a lot of people would be singing a different tune.

I think people are overly critical of Roy’s record. Roy was one of the first fighters I saw outside of the heavyweights divisions, I’m a huge Roy fan. Before winning his first title he consistently fought bigger men and undefeated fighters. After having like 15 fights (ish) he beat Jorge Vaca who had like 60 fights and was an ex world titlist and Jorge Castro who was 70-3-2 at the time. Castro was no bum! Roy then beat a 24-0 Glenn Thomas. He then beat Hopkins to win his first title. Then moved up in weight for a couple of non-title fights: Malinga who was not bad (went onto beat Nigel Benn for a world tile) and a pretty mediocre Fermin Chirinio and Danny Garcia.......He defended his title against Thomas Tate (29-2), he was OK. Next Roy dominated James Toney (44-0 at the time) to win his next title, and annihalted Antoine Byrd 26-4, a big name in Vinny Pazienza and a solid pro in Tony Thornton 37-6-1. He moved up again to fight Sosa, who was just voted to have the worlds best chin in the Ring mag, and KO’d him inside of 2 rounds. A couple of easyish fights followed against Eric Lucas (19-2-2) and Bryant Brannon 16-0 (awesome KO). Next he moved up in weight again to take on McCallum, McCallum was a beast but OK getting older at this point. Roy won his 3rd world title. Next was the Montell Griffin fiasco, in rematch he destroyed him. Next he KO’d Virgil hill (ATG light heavyweight) and unified against Lou DeValle. He fought a much smaller Otis Grant who was 31-1-1, then Richard Frazier 18-3-1. Frazier was a nobody from what I recall, maybe a mandatory? He then beat an excellent fighter in Reggie Johnson unifying all three belts. Next few fights…
David Telesco 23-2, Richard Hall 24-1, Eric Harding 19-0-1, Derrick Harmon 20-1, Julio Gonzales 27-0, Glen Kelley 28-0-1 and Clinton Woods 32-1.
Then he moved up to heavyweight and we all know the rest….
Not that bad of a resume when you break it down.
There better be a rematch now, I'm a big Hopkins fan but he pisses me off when he always initiates guerilla warfare but then moans and screams like a ***** as soon as anyone does it back to him, trying to get points deducted and what not, that aint old school at all. Anyway its pointless arguing whether he faked it or not, didnt he have an MRI on like Tuesday? How long does it take to get results? He better be releasing them, he was pretty damn quick to release that pointles bit of paper that the Dr fills in based on what Hopkins told him...
Gut wrenching. Wish him all the best. There's no quit in The Punisher so if anyone can get through this its him. Always seemed like a cool dude.
*edit for spelling.
DeGale is a fool, but this sounds like a b1tch move. So wat if he ignored him, he's on his holiday and the guy was clearly a tool. The headline probably makes it sound worse than it was, I wouldnt of thought it takes that much to knock out a fake tooth. Hope the Chav that did it gets arrested and spends some of his hols in a spanish holding cell.....
Not a bad card, have always liked Ishe Smith, he's a good fighter and had some close losses in the past. Didnt he do a mailbag on boxingt4lk a while back?
why dont we just get rid of all the boxing commissions and let floyd make up the rules? maybe thats it, he's not afraid to fight pacquiao he just wants to take over boxing? that could be why he still hasnt petitioned the NSAC or any other commission for better testing, you know to "clean up the sport".
I said Arum messed up by making it such a high penalty, and Floyd was intelligent by taking that and then saying "I met your demands, you meet mine now", when in fact the weight demand meant very little because Floyd is a natural 147 lber.
I've never watched a game of american football in my life so I havent a scooby who those people are, I take your point though. I do think it is a relevant comparison though because it is a very violent sport, a quick google reveals that there have been so many fatal injuries in football over the last 5 years that manufactures have made a conscience effort to change the equipment for the better. Add in the fact there are no weight divisions and its a non argument.
Let me make my point again, Floyd test demands are perfectly reasonable, but he is acting like a tool in how he is going about it. The methods he is using will not work, and he knows it. He would still have leverage if he went to a commission! He could say, look Manny is REFUSING a commission. He could totally expose Manny, but he doesnt.
He has this powerful team of lawyers and **** behind him and you're telling me not one of them has said "Hey Floyd......go to the NSAC if you want this fight". Keith Kizer of the NSAC, has publicly stated, no one from team Mayweather has petitioned them about blood testing. As I say, I think Floyd would school Manny but this tells me all I need to know....
It was a serious let down of a fight, I for one was looking forward to it. The way I see it, Hopkins was fouling Dawson and Dawson was basically getting him off his back. We’ve seen this happen countless times, whether Hopkins was faking or not, we’ve seen it before. Also, Hopkins claims he wanted to carry on, I was watching in the UK (BoxNation) and when the ref asked him if he wanted to fight on, all he said was something along the lines of “what, with one arm?”. Bottom line, Dawson was being fouled before the incident. I wouldn’t be surprised if the decision stays.
