Floyd fought a guy w/18 L's,& a guy w/16 L's&,a guy w/15 L's. Robinson fought opponents w/more than 18 L's 57 times. Not to mention 53 other opponents w/ 10 - 17 losses.
Bro...those guys also faught every weekend...
Seriously enough of this....I HATE floyd mayweather...HATE. I cannot stand this guy. I really would never wanna see someone get hurt EXCEPT this guy. With all the shit he's talked to hatton and everyone else throughout his career...he needs to get punched in the head so hard that he just becomes a vegetable. And then maybe he'll be candidate for hof just out of pity. And lets be real...he did dodge margarito...and if you wanna be real about it...margarito is one of the most feared welterweight fighters. He's caught on interview saying "Im not here to prove to the fans whos the best" Then why are you here. For a payday...and thats not what boxings about. Ray Robinson is better than mayweather because he fought for peanuts and liked it. There is more to beating your opponent than just winning the fight. And to be honest, I haven't seen mayweather truly definitively beat any of his recent opponents except an old already battered numerous times gatti.
Also, if you wanna argue the reason as to why mayweather wont fight margarito due to him not being an elite fighter...then why did he take the fight with gatti? Plus, he has talked about how its all about making money...he rejected 8 mil to fight margarito...So lets get this straight, its not about money...wouldnt that mean its all about being great then and proving to the fans you're the best, yet he also said its not about proving to the fans who's the best. So whats the real reason for not fighting margarito?
As far as someone saying he didnt back peddle alllllll night with dlh...your reasoning for that was.."how could he backpeddled if he was on the ropes most of the fight"...wtf..that just proves my point, how the hell else do you end up with your back to the ropes without backing up to them lol? Gayweather has built a career on fighting what he himself and his fans consider c class bums. HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU BETTER THAN ALI? Im so sick of these mayweather debates because they only anger me. Liking mayweather is exactly like rooting for the bad guy in movies. The true boxing fans on this forum will root for the right guy Dec. 8th.
yall are really trying hard to get more PBF haters....
He said he respected Ali and SRR. And that he is the greatest of all time.
There's no point in arguing or debating on an opinion based discussion.
Maybe he is and maybe he isnt better. So what....no reason to hate the dude.
PBF has insane skills regardless of personality.
I really don't see it bro...honestly.
If he loses...Id be really suprised how he takes it. In fact, I think that might be one of the only ways I'd like him as a fighter. That is, if he loses and shows the character of a champion, doesn't make excuses, and gives all the credit to hatton. If he doesn't lose, I'd like to see him win at hattons game...I'd like to see him actually war with someone...I think that would gain a ton of respect imo and thats the type of thing that makes a champion great. Being able and being up to do either or, combination of heart and skills.
But, I doubt either one will happen. Because imo, Floyd is the one dimensional fighter that he seems to accuse everyone else of being. That is, he exclusively fights defensively...he never comes out of his comfort zone.
wtf is wrong with tyson seriously. I mean what's really wrong with this guy? Is he truly crazy...like psych ward crazy? He's gotten himself in more shit during the course of his career, it's unbelievable.
I think the worst outcome though is a really close decision....seriously...the debate would take over this board forever. Not even for months...for years...look at hagler v leonard....people still talk about that. Whoever wins this fight...I hope they do it real convincingly...best way by knockout.
Ortiz doesn't have the skill level of Lewis?
So Lewis is excelent wrestler, even better at ground and pound, not to mention that Lewis knows how to block kicks?
Lewis doesn't have the skill level of Ortiz, only advantage is boxing and he can use that for three seconds before going to the ground.
bye bye :cop:
Are you seriously gonna pull the mma is better than boxing card. Dude, real talk...grappling is not always as technical as you think it is...especially in a street fight. Lewis is wayyyyyy stronger than ortiz...and i think he could throw ortiz right off of him if he was mounted..seriously. But, lets say your argument holds water...lennox lewis would only need those three seconds...because if he hit him with one shot..even a jab he'd stun the shit out of ortiz if not drop him. Have you seen titos chin...its not very good. In fact, come to think of it...alot of these mma fighters get dropped really easily. I dunno if it's because of them having a weak chin or...just because they havent taken as many shots as boxers have to the face, so they aren't trained to handle them and not be shocked by them.
Just when I thought I couldn't hate him anymore than I already do. I hope Hatton turns him into a vegetable. So then all he can do is drool...then his physical state will match his mental state...that of a baby.
For real though....if he does that and eeks out a lame no heart bs pussy decision win by running away and landing one counter at a time...then I'll quit watching boxing. I'm sick of the bad guy always winning.
I use to be really into mma...and I still am somewhat. There are just a few things about it that I can't relate to and I can't get into it as much as boxing.
1) In boxing...ussually the tougher guys are born in shit...and thats what people like about them. They are working class heroes. People like the idea of a really tough guy coming from a shitty area going on to become a great champion. All these guys in mma are from some small hick towns. Something about that bothers me...I just don't feel that they portray the spirit of a tough hard fighter like boxers do....they are just middle class hicks who are good at grappling.
2) I hate how alot of the fighters in mma are credited as being "great" stand up fighters. I have yet to see one fighter display a real great amount of boxing skill.
3) People into mma like to think that mma is the "real deal" and that they are tougher better fighters than boxers. This is just bullshit....seriously...I think Tyson as out of his prime as he is now..could sign with UFC and ruin some of their fighters.
I like to look at it this way when people compare the two. An mma fighter would have no chance against a boxer via boxing rules...however a boxer still would have a chance against an mma fighter via mma rules because there is a chance of knockout in both instances. Plus the UFC fanbase really sucks...its alot of younger people who think "boxing is boring" and like I said before feel as though ufc is "the real deal".
Dude....look at every town that these kids are from on like the ultimate fighter...They are all the weirdest people ever. It just bothers me. I like normal hard tough fighters...not black dudes with bleached mohawks that talk with a lisp.
Calzaghe is not on the same level of fighter as Hopkins. Lets be real. I'll be honest, I don't know a whole lot about joe...but I do know a good amount about hopkins.....and hopkins is great imo. What I have seen of calzaghe...he just doesnt seem to be that great. Yes hes a good boxer...but not a great boxer...and when he fought kessler...I do agree with alot of people...he slaps. I just dont see what everyone else must see in him..
