I'd go with Power. As good as it is to have speed. If someone with a brutal punch connected with you then its over.
Where as a light puncher who hits alot may take longer to get the job done. Without stating the obvious the power puncher will need to get the fight over earlier or he could get worn down by a speed puncher.
thats why boxing pisses all over mma because you can be
stronger and faster but if the other guy has heart
you can never count him out ...
how many times have we seen a guy getting beat up
by a stronger guy or even losing on points to a
fast boxer and then he turns the fight around
on heart alone ....
actually calzaghe might fall into that category
everyone says he slaps
so it can't only be his punching that wins him fights
its his grit and determination
Calzaghe is a good example... he isn't a hard punchers but he has the speed. Good post.
If you look at the bar under peoples posts there is a button labelled 'Karma'. Click that.
You can give good or bad karma out to people. Although most don't bother with giving negative out, as your Karma gets higher yours will increase others more and more. :D
Awesome man, thanks for your help and the welcome!
I actually did expect it.
At ESB Mundine got around 37% saying he would win. They have a large contingent of aussies over there.
Thus the results here and there isn't suprising.
Our sport is littered with national bias!
Makes sense. I've already admitted that I'm kinda new to boxing. So I just went with what I've noticed from watching the two fighters over the last like 5 years or so.
You a Mundine fan then? Or just generally think he'd Win? I'll be honest... I didn't have time to read all the posts as I'm working so thought I'd ask.
No suprises therre. With the geographics of this forum.
I honestly didn't expect it to be such a landslide. Cause I voted, then came back to post my vote.
Abit to soon for Amir to call out one of these two! As much as I think he's a good fighter he does need a few more fights under his belt against reasonable opposition.
