Mayweather-Martinez is not competitive it would be a suck ass fight ugly between a guy who doesn't belong at the weight class and a guy who killed himself a little to get there. Not the recipe for a grand fight~
Mayweather-Manny I don't think that fight is close at all
Mayweather-Canelo I think that fight is real tough for Floyd considering Canelo's youth, size and skills, Floyd might be able to overcome but at his age I think it would be a very tough fight for him.
Ward_Martinez I think is two very quality boxers, I would favor Ward but I do think Sergio is good enough to be competitive, he doesn't have to challenge himself if he doesn't want though but Mayweather doesn't have to challenge himself either by the same token.
Here are the FACTS-
1. Mayweather not only stated from his own mouth that he comfortably made 154, he actually made 154 and performed very well there. I never said he belongs there, only that he made the weight like he told the world he would, and he performed there very well.
2. Martinez and his handlers have been saying for a while now that hes a natural 154 and can make that weight again. This is fact.
Now, I agree with your Mayweather-Canelo assessment, disagree with your Mayweather-Pac assessment, but I do so respectfully.
People who believe manny won the third fight might as well as give their eyes to the blind
I had Marquez winning but he seriously fked it away in the last rounds when Nacho told him he was winning. In close fights like that you can't afford to be relaxed and stop being aggressive.
Horrible scores.
I respectfully disagree with you both. But all in all, the fact that Harold Lederman a 3 official judges had the same scores as I do shows I know what Im doing. FYI I also judge amateur bout in New England so I do know how to score a fight. But whether we agree or not, I do feel Marquez needs to be more aggressive against Pacquaio if he wants to win. Being too much of a counterpuncher has historically not bode well for fighters in the eyes of the official judges. Manny is aggressive, and whether he actually lands or not he ALWAYS gets the benefit of the doubt. Bottom line.
I don't think Floyd-Martinez is competitive at 154~ if it happens it happens
I don't think Floyd-Manny is competitive at 147~ if it happens it happens
I do think Floyd-Canelo would be real competitive~ if it happens it happens
I do think Ward-Martinez~ could be competitive is Martinez is good enough but he likely isn't
Mayweather-Martinez is competitive since Martinez is a natural 154, as hes said numerous times, and because Mayweather made 154 comfortably and performed very well at the weight.
Mayweather-Pac is competitive at 147 since theyve been campaigning there for years now.
Mayweather-Canelo could be competitive, I see Canelo as a younger version of Cotto, with less boxing ability.
Ward-Martinez is not competitive since Martinez ALREADY stated he CAN NOT MAKE 168 AND WILL NOT.
Heres the bottom line guys-
1. Martinez and his camp have ALREADY stated hes a natural Jr. MW and will NOT move up. You guys have to accept that.
2. Mayweather comfortably made 154 and looked really good at the weight.
Therefore, the more viable matchup is Mayweather-Martinez @ 154. Bottom Line.
We can beat this topic to death, as we already have, but with that said your scores are pretty terrible imo.
1. Draw. Aside from the first round, the rest of the fight marquez outfought pacquiao imo. But because of the first round....
2. Pac by 1, the knockdown proving the difference.
3. Marquez by 1-3, cant really remember how i scored it, i just know i scored it for Marquez.
Now, most importantly remember, whatever you say is wrong, and whatever i say is right ;)
I invite you, and anyone else to first rewatch the trilogy so that it is fresh in your memory before disagreeing with me and stating your own scores, unless you have them written down. But mind you ive watched this trilogy EASILY 5 or 6 times (yea Im a boxing junkie). And my scores cant be that bad if Harold Lederman and a judge from each of the fights had the same thing.
I bet you do... you have 8 post
and you're creating a thread on NSB
Easy buddy, Ive been on this forum for years. Its just that ALOT of the posters on here are waaay too biased and post nonsense as Im sure youll agree, so I always chose not to speak to fools since they scorn the wisdom of my words, as the great rapper NaS once said. But lately, Ive been selectively trying to spread a lil wisdom on here myself.
I remember Sergio calling out pac. How are the Negotiations going for that fight? Is pac gonna fight him?
Pac and his handlers have ALREADY said they are no longer willing to fight past WW. This is a fact. Martinez stated hed go down to 152, but again, Pac has already said no. Martinez-Mayweather is the only real possibility due to Mayweathers ability to comfortably make and perform @ 154. Bottom Line.
hopefully he does, cause i really want to see malignaggi/alexander. let's see what happens though, bailey def has a chance to upset. looking forward to the fight/card.
I definately DO NOT want to see Malignaggi vs Alexander. Malignaggi is done and way past his prime. He can collect his gatekeeper paychecks and sail off to the sunset. I'd much rather see Alexander mix it up with some prime WWs like a Berto, Guererro, Ortiz, maybe even a Bradley rematch IF he can keep winning. Bailey only has a punchers chance.
You guys in this forum argue too much and rarely say anything logically valid. Heres the bottom line:
1. Floyds last fight was at 154, a weight he said himself he comfortably made and as we all know, a weight he looked really good at. Maintained his speed, carried his power well, etc.
2. Martinez HIMSELF has said for many years hes a NATURAL Jr. Middleweight and is more than willing to make that weight for a Mayweather fight. Hes never made the full Middleweight limit, and never has rehydrated more than 10 lbs.
So can Mayweather-Martinez happen @ 154? Yes, based on what BOTH fighters have said in regards to that weight. Bottom line.
When has Mayweather ever weighed 154? He's small WW same as pac. That's the bottom line. So pac chooses not to fight Sergio and its fine but Mayweather is considered a duck for not fighting him. The double standards of the people on this site is ridiculous.
I never said Mayweather made 154. He weighed 151 against Cotto. What I did say was that he can comfortably make and perform very well at 154. And hes not a small WW at all. Hes a small Jr MW tho. And I never said Mayweather is a duck. Please dont put words in my mouth.
