Serious question. How is Martinez/Floyd the same as Martinez/Ward?

And then he fought Cotto at 154, again Cotto fought his entire career at or under 147. And you think Floyd fighting those over the hill fighters at their UNNATURAL weight is the same as Martinez moving to a weight class he has NEVER fought at, and fighting the best super middleweight and top 3 p4p fighter in his prime, Andre Ward? Anyway Floyd fought those guys in 5th weightclass, the equivalent of Martinez fighting light heavyweight champions.

You know what youre right. Hes conflicted. All jokes aside this makes perfect sense. The fact that canelo may get $8 mil to fight floyd pisses BUsh off more than anything. Floyd likes to fight the "best" and get paid well in the process. Martinez beating Canelo would prove he is a worthy option. Martinez/Canelo would do good #'s (more because of Canelo) and if Martinez can really get him good, then he'll gain some new fans. I hope his team is seeing what I'm seeing, they need to go for Canelo right away. I have no issue with that, although with Sergio's injuries I don't think the timing will work out. The bigger Martinez makes his star the more likely that fight is to come off, at whatever weight, no doubt about it.

Well Martinez just did big business, regardless of how the a side or b-side was so realistically now is his best chance to press for the fight. Canelo probably does bring more though. Generally speaking though Floyd does big business with anyone, so there is only so much leverage anyone has on him which is the problem with the Manny fight, Floyd can march to his own drummer and has/can still do great and while Manny can still outdo everyone else he can't out do Floyd.
