I know absolutely incredible and look at what Floyd did to him..
Truly a once in a lifetime talent we should all be privileged to witness.
It was apparent when he beat Manny Pacquio in the "Fight of the Century". Nobody else was left that could be a danger to him. Truly the best ever.
Wait, that fight did not happen? That can only mean that he is not yet the TBE.
I actually believe at the moment that both fighters are a bit overrated.
Wilder has yet to prove himself. And Fury looked really bad in that last fight. Both have potential. Can they beat Wladimir? Forget it. Can they make an entertaining fight against him? Probably :)
But I seriously believe that Hughie Fury is a much more rounded, much more disciplined boxer that will outshine both of them in some years. And well - Anthony Joshua seems even better.
A way to solve the bias some of us will surely have could be the Gamification of the app.
Users could earn rankings by often voting and voting the right way. Thus these users could level up to higher ranks (from "couch referee" over "backyard scorer" to "world title referee"). The scores of the higher ranked users could weigh in more then someone with only 2 or 3 fights scored.
Another way could be looking back: If someone scored several fights for a specific fighter prior to the current fight out of the normal standard equation for that fight (basicly scored to good or to bad on several occasions) then in the current fight that bias should be tried to calculate and removed.
Tough work.
Work on it and this app will be great :)
Very late. And I had hoped that Stiverne finaly got rid of Don King...
For the sake of boxing I feel like having to wish Arreola wins this... Despite believing that Stiverne deserves it...
I dislike the lateness furtermore, I had hoped for to title defenses this year (vs Wilder and vs somebody) and then a Unification with Wladimir in early 2015...
LOL, not even ranked in the WBC. Hey, he didn't fight enough Civic teachers or brick layers
The WBC does not rank the mandatory challengers of the WBO, the IBF and WBA. As soon as you get the mandatory status you lose your former WBC ranking. He would very likely bein the WBC's top three.
I don't know why but I'm excited about this fight, yet, know absolutely nothing about pulev. Does he ha e a chance? I haven't paid attention to the hw division in years.
Pulev is ranked in most neutral rankings (e.g. TBRB, RING, Boxrec, IBO) as top 1 or top 2 after Klitschko. He is one of the better boxers Klischko has faced in the last couple of years. However - like with Povetkin nobody expects Pulev to have a real chance.
He comes as the huge underdog and will very likely not be much of a challenge for Klitschko. However that is what people also fought about Corry Sanders.
Yeah, see, I was just about to ask whether it was a UD or a SD..........I see that I was right on the money about the robbery.
I had my money on Stieglitz. And I scored the fight 115-111 for Abraham. There were many very close round you could score either way.
Stieglitz came forward every round - but most of the time he only hit the defense of AA and then clinched. Sometimes Stieglitz landed some punches while pushing in. AA however used the coming opponent and landed hard counters. Power punshes.
That was impressive for someone that locked very bad in his last two bouts he was supposed to win by KO and did not do anything rememberable at all in those fights. I was sure he would lose a clear UD and retire.
However: He is back. And the fight was not a robbery. And both fighters looked great.
ticket sales must be weak for the leapai fight... I bet half of the tickets were giveaways...
They are so weak that there are at maximum 50 places still free. Most of them are in the last row.

Wladimir is an immense draw in Germany. It does not matter who his opponent is, the arenas are usually sold out.
The topic is in most cases deciding who won the round is already a tough decision for the guys scoring. Now them having to decide if that round winner one by 0.5, 1 or 1.5 points is much worse.
