Yeah, basically ali is mentally fine. Just struggles with his movement and speaking even though he can think clearly. I think it would be the most frustrating illness ever to be mentally fine and know what you want to do but not being able to do it.
Margarito being suspended for plater-like substance in handwraps.
pac-mayweather not happening. being replaced by 2 sham fights(both completely legitimate fights but a complete sham in contrast of what should have been)
loopholes in andre ward's scheduling not having him travel at all.
jermain taylor pulling out of the super 6.
fiasco with judges in froch-dirrell
joan guzman overweight by 9lbs.
arthur abraham intentional foul ending ko
Well who cares? that all adds to the drama and excitement and gives us something to talk about.
You can say a lot of negative things about Haye but the man is always in superb condition, even when he's not in training so i don't believe this for a minute.
Maybe cos he doesn't really have a likable personality or a bit of charisma like Hatton and Haye have..so he's never ever gonna be a household name. But as far as actual boxing fans go, a lot of people don't really believe he has proven anything. He just beat Taylor in the last seconds and most people think Dirrell beat him, maybe if he beats a few more of the super six convincingly, it could change.
They have tried to, look at the Canelo fight and score cards. It's just he won them so convincingly that they couldn't even get away with it. GBP would have completely screwed him if that fight was closer but thats because they thought Canelo was the next big star.
That wide scorecard was insane. one of the worst i've ever witnessed since i have been watching. I was in shock before i even heard which fighter it was in favour of.
I haven't rewatched any of the reading of the cards but i am pretty certain even Bey was shocked at it until they read his name out and he celebrated.
Well, there is always counter arguments in regards to this. Mosley had just come off beating Margarito senseless etc... which is kind of the point i am making.
Everyone expected Margarito to win but he had a bad night and got blasted out. Pacquiao got hit with a shot that would have KO'd him any time by any version of Marquez because it was a perfect shot. He also got a gift against Marquez when people thought Marquez was done when the third fight was made and nobody give Marquez a shot at the time.
You can pick holes in any fight. You could say Pacquiao only got a good win over Bradley when he had been concussed by other fighters and been in wars. Pacquiao only got a win over Cotto after he'd been destroyed by Margarito. Cotto only beat a disabled Martinez, Mosley only beat Margarito because he was shook cos he'd been caught with his loaded wraps. The list goes on of excuses you can make for pretty much every fight.
My point was that these types of scenarios never happened to him, so he still went through it all undefeated and not slipped up. It's still a fantastic achievement. It's boxing, you can be knocked out by 1 punch, take an opponent lightly, turn up not in good shame, lose concentration, anything can happen.
I agree but you can say he's never been dominated on the scorecards
No, but he has been dominated so it doesn't need to go to the score cards = outboxed.
By the way i am not a Khan hater, i love watching his fights, always some excitement because you never know what's going to happen. I still do feel Peterson beat him, it was close and i wouldn't complain either way. I just feel Peterson dragged him into his own game and outboxed him on the inside.
So for him to say he's never been outboxed is a bit rich. He does have a decision loss on his record, even if it was close.
Do you think he would be the A side with Canelo? I don't...at best it would be 50-50. Cotto didn't do 2.2 with Floyd.
Yeah. I wouldn't consider Cotto the A-Side against Canelo either. I'd say it was 50-50 or slightly in Canelo's favour.
He would make more money against Canelo though simply because the purse will be split more evenly and not like 90-10 like it usually is in a Floyd fight or whatever it is.
His resume I respect, especially considering he's fought guys coming off of big wins. But last night was redicilous. He didn't clinch, he held. Clinching can be a legitimate tactic provided you use it properly and don't hold for a good few seconds.
Well that's for another topic altogether. At the end of the day he still won the fight and won it clearly, even if it was ugly. That's why he's undefeated. He will stink the place out if he has to. You have to respect that kind of will to win at any cost. It's not great for the viewers at times, i thought last night was a bad fight to watch in general. Didn't particularly like Floyd's approach and didn't like Maidana's lack of will to win. Maidana was up against it for various reasons BUT he definitely didn't leave it all in the ring last night and i think he will realise that in time when he reflects on the fight.
But this topic was about his overall career.
What was he suppose to do. The fight looked the way it did because Mayweather held, wasn't warned, and Bayless broke it up everytime they got close...
People keep talking about all this other ****, no read my first sentence. That's why the fight looked that way.
He could have shown some aggression and desire. Yes he was up against with Floyds tactics and the ref it but you would expect him being the "warrior" he is, this would have given him more drive but it never.
It was like the fire inside him was missing compared to his first fight.
The way i see it is that all us boxing fans are bi curious at the very least. Look at the facts....thousands of men turning upto a weigh-in like they care about weight! the truth is we're there to watch a man in his underwear flex is muscles and check out his snake and if we're really lucky enough, he'll take them off to make weight. Look at the excitement Canelo's fantastic snake caused on this forum. We watch it to watch men with great bodies and hope one of them dominates another one, we think we're enjoying the combat but subconsciously we are relating it to our sexual desires. Look how many of these threads come up and how often. Behind every joke there's an element of truth or wanting to admit something. The sooner us boxing fans admit we're all bi-curious at least, the more we can enjoy the sport together.
froch doesn't sound confident. anyone just see that quick interview?
I thought this, however we probably read too much into this stuff. Both fighters are bound to have some nerves on a big stage with a couple of hours to go.
Cant argue with that for an ending. Great Shot.
Groves should have been trying to throw his right a little bit more from the start but Froch had a good jab tonight.
I don't know what you lot are complaining about, both fighters were put down, on shaky legs and continuing to take big shots whilst not throwing back or defending themselves.
If you are not in control of your legs then you are not able to fight.
If you have your senses there to clinch or throw, i think you deserve a little bit longer.
hey dude, I like totally don't fit into that theory your pushing.
really?
Your avatar has a picture of Danny Garcia stroking his own abs whilst his dad lifts up his shirt to help. :gay:
Sergio Martinez is Bi or Gay, back in April he sent a nude selfie to a gay man online who he talked to. Crazy how this story never broke, here is the tweet.

Wow :luvbed:
But how do we know it was sent to a dude based on that on twitter?
Well if you don't, you don't have to open the threads and read but the fact is that a large percentage of this site are at least bi-curious on the spectrum of sexuality. What's wrong with them discussing their desires.
I just don't see why it's OK that we've had more graphic threads about female boxers but once anyone mentions a snake, it gets shut down.
That is homophobia. You can say it's not related to boxing, fair enough but then don't allow the threads of females too or the hundreds of avatars and signatures with barely clothed women.
Wtf is this crap. Nsb is actually fcked. I wish other parts of this site had higher traffic, otherwise I wouldn't be anywhere near this cesspit.
Wow, cesspit? so you're comparing homosexuals to human excrement?
Terrible.

Yikes, we're the pics that bad? you guys are making it seem like a roy needs to see a urologist
No, it was definitely a suckable piece of beef but i just expected bigger.
