I give Floyd credit for doing what he had to do to get the win, it wasn't pretty but whatever, he won clearly.
I feel Maidana didn't leave it all in the ring last night. I'm not sure what his game plan actually was at times. In the first fight you could see a clear game plan and he had success with it until Mayweather started working him out.
Obviously Mayweather had time to assess the first fight and work on a plan, which he did last night and neutralised Maidana at times but i still feel Maidana could have done a lot more in the fight, there was no energy from him apart from a couple of rounds, a lot of the time it looked like there wasn't a 100% desire to win. At first i thought he was trying to pace himself and come on strong, but i just waited and it never happened.
Part of it was Floyd's game plan that stopped it i am sure. People will say part of it was the ref who didn't let him work inside too much. I agree with this but there was still plenty of opportunities where he could have gone for broke and show a bigger desire get the win. I'm not sure what it was, it just seemed a strange game plan, he basically stopped doing the things that gave him any success in the first fight.
I just feel he didn't leave it all in the ring last night and upon reflection he will feel he could have done a lot more.
I think several of Floyd's right hands stunned Chino. He's good at not showing hurt but he stepped back and started boxing instead of going balls to the wall like in the first fight. Floyd made him respect the game last night.
Na mmaidana landed one big punch that made Floyd go sit on his stool. That's basically a victory in my eyes
Thats super funny... green k,,,
very clever
No alex ariza,,, garcia kicked him out of camp,,, and then ariza was spotted in floyds gym and floyd had legs like he was in his 20s
Yeah I noticed that too. Maidana looked so exhausted near the end of the fight...Floyd was pretty sharp but in 11/12 even he looked a bit tired....he doesn't have much left in him sadly.
Even pacing himself he looked so worn out and tired near the end.....hell one round he didn't even know where his corner was.

He should be...
all he had to do was be aggressive and let his hands go... he needed to throw at least 1000 punches in this fight, and he only thru 572... Tried to pace himself early and it backfired because he never came on strong late...
His first fight performance was much better imo

madianna was frustrated. He wasn't allowed to work inside because of a ref in Floyd's pocket, his gloves were a factor and the size of the ring. madianna never had a chance under these conditions. This became essentially a cash out fight for him.
Yeah his first performance definitely was better. Mayweather did do what he should've done in the first fight, though. I think this was a combination of Maidana trying to pace himself more and Mayweather moving more and giving him fewer opportunities. Only the 4th (?) round really looked at all like the first fight.
I agree, good points.
Maidana needed to do the same exact thing he did in the first fight but hope to land this time around, but throughout All Access when reflecting back to the first fight he looked disappointed in himself. Maidana admitted that he didn't land solidly, said he missed most of his punches and that may have prompted the change in approach.
I knew that trying to converse energy and being more methodical was gonna be detrimental to his success but to Maidana's credit his defense was sharper in this fight. It's weird how both of them came in more defensively responsible, with Maidana's offense suffering a ton and Mayweather's offense not being as good as the first fight but good enough to win more dominantly.
You can't throw when your opponent is out of range
He did fine in the 4th letting his hands go...
What about when floyd was walking him down and maidana was taking steps back.. So stupid of maidana,, he isnt gonna out counter, out box, out think, floyd...
Maidana needed to go for broke and let his hands go.. Floyd cant deal with that type of onslaught..
If maidana throws 100 punches a round, he wins the fight. Plain and simple..
Throwing 572 punches in a fight will not beat floyd
This pretty much sums It up.

What was he suppose to do. The fight looked the way it did because Mayweather held, wasn't warned, and Bayless broke it up everytime they got close...
People keep talking about all this other ****, no read my first sentence. That's why the fight looked that way.
He could have shown some aggression and desire. Yes he was up against with Floyds tactics and the ref it but you would expect him being the "warrior" he is, this would have given him more drive but it never.
It was like the fire inside him was missing compared to his first fight.
